Finding home
Marinette walked into the bakery with a bright smile on her face. Adrien had kissed her. Not once but twice. He had told her he loves her. She heard him speak of marrying her and having three kids. God, he was perfect. Then the cherry on top of the cake was the fact that Adrien was Chat Noir. The love of her life was her trusty, punny partner. Could her day get any better? As she walked in, she was met by the eyes of her worried mother.
"Marinette, where have you been? We have been worried sick about you," Sabine called out. She was about to continue but stopped when catching the sight of her happy daughter and the huge smile she was wearing. Sabine hadn't seen her daughter smile in months.
"I am sorry, maman. Adrien and I were talking, and we lost track of time," she replied happily. "Oh, was it about the project?" Sabine asked excitedly. Frankly speaking, Sabine always thought the teens were made for each other. Yes, she was angry at Adrien for what he had done, but later she realized he was only a teen. It was normal for a teen to be confused, especially when it came to love, so she understood perfectly. She is really hoping that this project could fix the relationship between them.
"Uhh, somewhat," Marinette replied. She wanted to tell her mother everything that went on, but she did not want to become too excited as she did not know if Adrien and she were officially a couple or not. "Well, your father and I were made aware of the project and spoke to Mr. Agreste, who believed his home was a better place for the project, so I packed your bag and made some snacks for you to take, sweetie," Sabine replied with a smirk.
Marinette almost jumped with joy. It was true, she was nervous about staying in the same household as both her crush and her Idol, but it was also a dream come true. Maybe she could talk about fashion or show her designs, and hopefully, Adrien would ask her to be his girlfriend. They could go on dates and kiss some more. Then when Monday came, they could walk into the school hand in hand. Marinette had a million thoughts running through her head. "Thank you, maman. You are the best."
Marinette ran to her room, grabbing the bag her mother had already packed, a secret stash of cookies for Tikki, and her sketchbook. "I should head over to the Agreste mansion before it becomes dark outside. I don't think walking in the streets at night is such a great idea," Marinette giggle, telling her parents. "That's a great idea sweetie, have fun and call us every day, alright?" Tom replied. "Of course, dad, love you," she replied, kissing her parents goodbye and walking out of the bakery.

Adrien paced back and forth in his room. He still could not believe everything that had happened today. He almost thought it would have been the worst day of his life and technically his last, but it turned to be the best day ever. Marinette ran to his aid. She said she would follow him anywhere, even to death. Adrien was still in shock to find out that his princess and his lady were the same.
Could he really be this lucky? This girl was perfect. He was so utterly, and completely in love with her. He kissed her, and she kissed him back. She told him she loved him and saved his life. She is coming to stay a week. "Oh my God, Plagg, what am I going to do? She is coming for a whole week! How do I act? What do I say? Do I take her out on dates? Is she my girlfriend? Wait, did I ask her to be my girlfriend? Omg, I didn't even ask her to be my girlfriend, did I? What if Luka asks her before she gets here? Plagg, what do I do?" Adrien mumbled.
"Adrien, calm down!" Plagg yelled, annoyed by his holder's panic. "First of all, be yourself. She already loves you the way you are, and secondly, just ask her out when she gets here. Now give me my cheese." Plagg complained. He really was starving this time. He had only eaten the cookie pigtails had given him and then had to transform to get Adrien off the Eiffel tower, and ever since then, his holder has been too excited over his kiss with her to even remember to feed him.
"Sorry, Plagg, I just can't believe this is really happening," Adrien apologized, giving him a slice of camembert. Just at the moment, the bell rang, signaling Marinette's arrival. Adrien wasted no time running out of the room, down the stairs, and towards the door. Almost running into his father along the way. "Adrien! Be careful," Mr. Agreste almost yelled coldly. "Sorry, father, it's just I have waited for this moment for so long I can't wait," he replied apologetically.
"I understand, son, but please allow me to welcome our guest. You have a whole week to be with her." Adrien nodded and took a deep breath before opening the door. As the door opened, Adrien caught a glimpse of Marinette's eyes as the sunset reflected upon them. 'Wow, they are absolutely mesmerizing,' he thinks to himself. Not being able to contain himself any longer, Adrien walks up to her and pulls her in for a hug. "I missed you," he whispers to her ear, causing a blush to spread throughout her cheeks.
"Adrien, please release Ms.Dupain-Cheng she looks like she is losing her breath." Mr. Agreste calls out from behind him. "Right, sorry, Marinette," he says nervously, turning away in an attempt to hide the blush rising on his cheeks. Marinette giggles before responding, "It's okay, Adrien, I missed you too," whispering that last part so only he could hear.
Mr. Agreste smiled at the teen's reactions. He was not sure what had happened during the hours Adrien and Marinette had gone missing, but from the looks of it, their issue had been resolved. Now, there was only one thing left to do, and that was to make sure his future daughter-in-law and his son officially begin dating, and he had just the plan to do so. He had been the worst father in history for a long time. Now, it was time to make up for all of it. Plus, how lucky was it that she wanted to be a designer.
"Ms. Dupain-Cheng, it's a pleasure to see you again. I take it that you two have fixed your differences?" He asked. Even though he had already been informed by Adrien, himself he wanted to see her reaction. "Yes, sir, we have," she replied with a big smile. "Great, because unfortunately, we have been renovating the guest rooms. Therefore you will have to stay in Adrien's room." Marinette almost choked on air. A deep blush crept on her cheeks as she tried hard not to completely freak out.
Usually, Gabriel would not condone this type of scenario, but let's face it. The teens were almost adults, and both were extremely responsible. He had absolutely no doubt in his mind they would be careful and put thoughts in all of their decisions. Plus, if he is being honest, a grandchild in the near future would not be the worst thing that could happen. Mr. Agreste had a goal in mind. Marry Adrien and Marinette, retire and leave them the Gabriel brand and spend time with his grandchildren, teaching them everything his father once taught him. It was too late to do that with Adrien, but he could still dream. He wished he hadn't spent so much time being Hawkmoth. He had missed many moments of Adrien's life, but he could still fix it, Right?
"Oh, umm, okay, I understand, that is no problem at all," Marinette replied nervously. "Great, I will leave you two to it then. Oh, and Ms. Marinette, if you brought your sketchbook with you, I would love to see some of your designs after dinner. Adrien speaks wonders of them." Marinette could just scream. This was by far the best day of her life. "Of course, Mr.Agreste."

Dinner had been amazing. Adrien, Marinette, and Mr.Agreste engaged in a fashion conversation that later leads to life, and Adrien hinting he wanted to marry Marinette. "Can you imagine Marinette's Agreste's miraculous fashion line? It would be the talk of Paris," Adrien said during the talk of the future Gabriel collaborations.
Marinette couldn't believe her luck as it seemed to be finally on her side. Gabriel smiled. He was so proud of his son for looking towards the future. After dinner, Marinette showed Gabriel some of her sketches, to which he wasted no time complimenting and offering her an internship for later this summer. Everything was finally looking up for all of them. For Marinette and Adrien, it was the joy of finally having each other by their sides. For Gabriel, it was the thrill of feeling complete. A new family to call his own.
"You want to play Ultimate Stike 3?" Adrien asked, showing her a remote. Marinette smiled as she thought of the first time they played together. Marinette then wondered if he still had the lucky charm she had given him that day. If only he knew she still had the one he'd given her for her birthday. Marinette always made sure she would carry it in her purse where ever she went. "Get ready to bite the dust, kitty," she replied sassily.
"I doubt it since I have my Marinette lucky charm on me," Adrien replied with a wink as he pulled out the charm from his pocket. Marinette felt her heart flutter. He had her lucky charm in his pocket and based on the fact that he was still wearing what he had in school, it means he carried it with him too. "Oh yeah, well, I have skills and luck," she replied, pulling hers out of her purse and blowing him a kiss. Adrien almost died. He really loved this girl. If only he had the age to marry her now.
After a few rounds of Marinette-style butt-kicking and victory dancing, it was time for bed. "I can take the couch if you feel uncomfortable," Adrien said, grabbing some pajamas and walking towards the bathroom. "Nonsense, kitty, the bed is big enough for both of us," she replied, with a blush, luckily it was pretty dark in the room. "O-okay," Adrien responded, stuttering nervously, making Marinette quietly giggle. Oh, how the tables turned.
After the teens were both dressed for bed, they got in the bed with their backs facing each other. Marinette was tired, yet she couldn't sleep. All the events of today replayed in her mind. At the same time, she feared it was all a dream, and she would wake up to find Adrien was gone. But besides that, Marinette still wondered what was their current relationship status, but she was afraid to ask. What she didn't know was that Adrien was having close to the same dilemma. "M-Marinette?" he stuttered. "Yeah?" "Would it be too much to ask if I could hold you in my arms tonight?" he continued asking nervously. Marinette blushed but nodded. "I- I would love that kitty," she whispered.
With a smile and a blush on both of their faces, Marinette scooted closer to Adrien. Not wasting time, Adrien placed one arm around Marinette's shoulders and the other around her waist as she laid on his chest, listening to the beating of his heart. "I love you, princess," he whispered in her ear. "I love you too, kitty. Goodnight."
A few minutes later, the teens were off in deep slumber. Adrien held Marinette tightly in his arms, refusing to let her go, and he would never let her go again. Adrien had finally found his happiness, and it was her laying in his arms. He was home.
