A hyperactive mind

Well what's the remedy?

How do you switch off

Something without limit

Or end

An eternal internal membrane

Every remedy

Under the big

Bright sun

Has been tried

Without any permanent

Solution or big voila!

Sometimes

I truly wish

I could unscrew

My head and

Gingerly place it

On a shelf

For just a little while

Without sleep

There isn't any

Peace

Happiness

Strength

Concentration

Stimuli

With everything

Going on right now

My own body

Is betraying me

How could it?

Chronic exhaustion

And

Insomnia

Go hand in hand

They are best friends

Always together

Never to part

They play together

Hole up in your body together

Attack together

What a spritely pair!

In order to get rid of one

I have to get rid of the other

I must fight

Somehow

Find the will power

The nonexistent strength

So I can just stand up and say

For the love of all that's holy

Insomnia, drop dead!

Then continue on my path

Toward the future
