So, as you can see, while silly, this song does have a deeper meaning to it, how can we expect the world to listen to the Good News, or how can we say "God is Love" when there are 'christians' (I use a lowercase 'c' because they're Christians in name only) who go around bombing abortion clinics, protesting at military funerals, or hating on people because of their sexual orientation? I'm not saying homosexuality is 'okay' because I do believe the statements in the Book of Leviticus, but that doesn't mean we should hate the people themselves. I have friends who are homosexual, I don't agree with their lifestyle, but I don't hate them for it. They know what I believe, and they're cool with it.
