So...

My laptop has a 500Gb SSD chip,
(Solid State Drive, for the less technologically knowledgeable)
And I've been nearing the max, I had 40gb of space left. So my dad recommended a site, OtherWorldComputing, that sells high end components for Apple computers, from which I could buy a 1Tb drive chip, we browsed around, and the cheapest one was a demo chip, (meaning it had been used to demonstrate the item in a computer) for $545, the most expensive, was $700, and brand stinkin new, fresh outta the factory. Now, I have some cash hanging around from work, so I went ahead and bout the $700 dollar one (less likely to have been damaged). Today, I began the process of cloning my computers existing drive onto the new one, but every time it got to the 3/4 point, my laptop would crash, and the drive would subsequently be rejected, it did this six times, before it would no longer even recognize that we had plugged in a storage device....my luck sucks
