Anakin Solo/Tahiri Veila, my new OTP, BEST STAR WARS PAIRING EVER! Anakin launched a desperate rescue attempt to liberate his friend from her imprisonment, and ultimately succeeded in freeing her from her brainwashing by confessing his feelings, a tad corny, but SO FUDGING KAWAII! Sadly, their relationship was cut short, as Anakin was slain in a mission to destroy a Yuuzhan Vong bio-engineered creature, specifically designed to hunt and kill Jedi, The Voxyn. Anakin was the leader of the all-Jedi strike team, and sacrificed himself as a distraction so that Jacen and Jaina, his siblings, could kill the queen Voxyn.

As you can probably guess, this infuriated a large number of Star Wars fans, I eventually stopped reading The Extended Universe after finishing the Fate Of The Jedi series. Then I discovered a fanfic on Fanfiction.net, called "An Altered Destiny" that explores what would have happened, if Tahiri had gone after Anakin on his suicide mission, and managed to prevent his death.
