This Is Me
About 13 years ago a healthy baby girl was born a second child (would one day be the middle child). If you haven't assumed by now; that's me. I was born in my hometown hospital on July 19th at 5:12 AM. In case you're wondering, yes, I share a birthday with Benedict Cumberbatch. One would describe me as a chubby, blue eyed, brown haired little angel with a bright blue vein streaking across my nose.
My first year on earth was very eventful. From hiking to going to the park, I was strolled around a lot being a very content infant. But beware! If I became upset I morphed into a demon: face red and the loudest cry, you might be able to hear it in the Heavens.
My main kids shows were Elmo, Doodle Bops, and the Wiggles.
From a very young age, I've had trouble with hot things. From boiling water to electric stoves I was constantly getting burnt. My worst incident was when I was two: My dad was chasing me round and round the house as my mom ironed clothes on the carpet so as to avoid me knocking it off the counter and it landing on top of me. Unfortunately, fate never gives in! I ended up tripping over the iron and sitting on it as if riding a horse. That few seconds earned me a ticket to the hospital with second degree burns. OUCH!
At the age of 4, I started preschool. That's when I first discovered love. I met a cute little boy named Timothy and we instantly fell for each other: playing princess and the knight or even talking about getting married. We were perfect for one another.
The craziest part is we're still a thing 10 years later!
My best friend at the time was Alaina Thomas, although I can't really see why we were such good friends... I don't remember her once calling me Lauren. It was always Nicky!!! Don't ask why, that's just the name she picked but I hated it!
Life was pretty normal, I did start learning piano at the age of 5. But on went 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th grade. That's when my life changes. The year I meet the biggest influence on my entire life: Mrs. Wendell. She is one of the most caring and genuine human beings you will ever lay your eyes on. She was the first person to ever realize my brilliance in reading and English. She started me on special assignments and not long after, I discovered my love for writing. I now plan on pursuing a career in literature or English. As I said, LIFE CHANGING!
Then came middle school. I was nervous beyond comprehension. Not only was I moving to a new school but I wasn't treated very nicely about my looks in a private catholic school. So I couldn't imagine the hate I would get in a public school!
Surprisingly, no hate came. I actually have several boys who have admitted to liking me. I'm fairly popular and am one of the best players on both the volleyball and basketball team. Life is not too shabby... we'll just have to see how this story will continue:)
