I was just thinking how The Diary of a Would-be Adventurer is over half way done and hopefully before long I can finish it.

As writers, for me personally, one of the best feelings (aside from getting hilarious comments and reactions) is to be able to check the complete box and after the title, type in (complete). It's not that I'm tired of writing it or that I just hurried it so I could be done. It's a feeling of accomplishment, like you just ran a marathon and broke the ribbon at the finish line. (And for some stories it is like running a marathon!)

A bitter sweet taste you feel for at least a day. Glad that it is finished and you can move on but sad that it is over. You just become so attached to writing it and putting in hours of sleepless nights that in the end you almost don't want it to end. You begin to think:

"hmm could I make it a sequel? Or do a spinoff or a prequel? Or maybe a fanfic of my own fanfic" (I think that last bit is crossing a barrier)

But all of my fellow writers out there know what I mean. It's a sensation that can only be had by writing and finishing a story.

For all of you reading this and you haven't completed a story yet or haven't written a story on here, I encourage you to give it a go! Since I've been here I have only received  positive and encouraging feedback  and have met so many wonderful friends just from posting stories. Everyone has a story and it doesn't have to be a long, dramatic masterpiece. (You should check out my first work- yikes!) Start out small and go from there.
