okay I'm writing a really lit AU and I stole the idea from myself from a contest for HAMILTON_LOVER  but since I 99% lost the contest (who won??), I'm publishing this. the premise of the AU is kinda confusing, but basically it's this:

Whenever a baby is born, a unicorn comes into existence beside it. The unicorn is constantly with the person, and everyone can see it, but it doesn't have the physics of a normal horse. People can go into pubs and gathering places without their unicorns trampling people. They don't really take up space unless you're riding them. They adjust their appearance (all being born grey) for you, and every unicorn is unique. Their manes can be any color, but during battle they flash rainbow colors. If your unicorn dies, you die. If you die, your unicorn can stay(yyyyy) alive(eeeeeeeeeeeee) long enough to warn anyone of a threat you may have died from, but then die shortly thereafter.

As a right of passage, when a person turns eighteen they can buy an animal of choice. These are useful for more delicate purposes not handled by the unicorns, or simply pets. You must buy an animal between your eighteenth and nineteenth birthday or you'll never have one, and if it dies, you can't buy another one. It's meant to symbolize the responsibilities of adulthood.

Also drinking age in the kingdom is sixteen so hail yeah.

The characters are the same but Jay, Jemmy, Jefferson, and

Burr

(Screams at the sky asking why Burr doesn't start with a 'J')

are a squad.

The Revolutionaries are an esteemed group of soldiers/warriors who do justice-y things but if you mislead into thinking they're doing the right thing, they will do some horrible shit. I'm not gonna give away the plotline...

random AU facts:

Jemmy is allergic to horses (even his unicorn XD but he got a charm on his Pegasus so he's not allergic to that)

Washington used to have a dragon but it died
