~ our childhood ~

Namu and I always have been such a good friends since very young age. Because we are neighbors, I know him since our kindergarten years in Seoul, where we used to spend our first years of our lives and to be honest, our teachers had a very hard times with us.

I still remember some moments, when we were together in the same class and always, when we were on the playground, we were such a troublemakers.

I also can't forget, how everytime one of us was sick and the other one always became quiet and distant from everyone and everything. These moments were out first life hardships.

,,Young lady Kim, stop destroying Namjun's sand castle! It's rude of you! Go play with something else, please." Said my teacher and she was trying to drag me away from Namjun.

,,But why madam? We are having lot of fun thanks to this?" My young, high-pitched girly voice was asking her with a sad undertone in it.

,,Can't you see young lady, that this young man is crying because of you? I think, it'll be better, if you two would be separated from each other for some time." And then she forced me to sit on the second end of our playground, as far as possible from Namu.

back to reality

Now it's really easy to laugh on this topic, cuz it is really old memory, but I still remember, how I started hysterically crying, when I was separated from him only for a few seconds. Everyone already knew, that we were inseparable duo.

Since our kindergarten years, we were so close and our friendship is still this much strong even now. But let's go back to our childhood years.

friday afternoon at my house

,,Mum! Can Namu spend time with me till the dinner time and then eat dinner with us?" I asked curiously, cuz that day my mommy was preparing gimbap with kimchi fried rice with a red wine and for kids, she bought orange juice.

My mum answered to me after a few seconds. ,,Sure my little one, just send Jun home to let his parents know, that he'll be here and he can stay a little bit longer today." I loved my mum for these words.

Thanks to she agreed on our plan, Namu and I clothed ourselves warmly and then we quickly ran to his house to inform his parents.

at Namu's place

Jun and I ran inside like two tornadoes. When we finally found his dad, Namu asked: ,,Dad, can I stay with Stephanie till the end on their dinner? I was invited to their table to eat with them, so if you aren't against it...?" Jun made his legendary cute puppy eyes and also his cute face and even his strict father couldn't reject him.
,,But after you'll finish your meal, you'll come home, okay?" Namu only nodded, he deeply bowed in front of him like me and then both of us ran back to my house.

Before I closed the front door, I yelled into the air with all my strength: ,,Thank you, sir!"

What both of us didn't see, was how widely his dad smiled, when he heard me through the whole house.

back in my house

Namu and I were playing with my toys till the moment my mum screamed words "Dinner is ready, come here to eat it!". Both of us quickly stood up and ran to our kitchen faster than jaguar.

Only few seconds after we sat to our table, my dad came home from his work. Because of this, we patiently waited for him to join us and when all of us were sitting there, we started eating.

Of course, our dinner wouldn't be dinner, if anything bad didn't happen. When I was drinking my orange juice from my glass, Namu was trying to to reach for his glas with juice.

While he was stretching his left arm to grab his glass, he accidentally stepped on my right foot and this made me choke on my drink, because the pain ran through my whole body.

,,Omo! Are you okay?" He asked frightened and then he realized, that he was standing on my foot.

,,Aishii, I'm so sorry." He apologized, his leg moved back next to his other leg and when he was sure, that I was fine, he stood up and went for his glass full of juice.

At first, my parents was scared, that I was in danger, but when they noticed, how Jun cared about me and he was trying to help me on his own, they let him do it by himself. They were so proud, that I have someone like Namjun, who was careful and he never left me in difficult situation on my own.

After dinner Namu and I went to the front door, he took his stuff with him and after we said goodbye to each other, we hugged and Jun left into the darkness. Thankfully his house wasn't too far, so I shouldn't had to be worried about him, cuz I knew, he was gonna get home safely.

primary school years

Time flew quickly and before we could have blinked, we had to start learning everything on primary school. I remember, how Jun was the one, who most of the time was prepared and he had everything done, but sometimes, especially after we went to the second degree, we were rebellious and very often happened a situation, that we were enjoying our lives, but when we found out, that we have had some homework, we tried to copy it from our classmates.

If someone would be curious, which one of us was bigger troublemaker, it was me, cuz my life motto always had been "Don't let others stop you from your dreams and do for it everything", but sometimes my dreams were unrealistic and it made me taste the total bottom of unfairness and cruel world around me.
I can't forget, how we were sitting by each other's side during whole primary school and when someone tried to separate us apart, we made a huge scene because of it.

When I'm looking back on these years, I'm not surprised, that everyone in the whole big old building thought, that we were dating, even though we were just very close friends, who loved each other's company.

high school years

These years were one of our first hardest years of our lives, because I went to the high school oriented on social care and these stuff and Namu went to the high school oriented on economic and business.

We barely saw each other, because we had more stuff to deal with, our grades became more important, cuz both of us wanted to make it on the college and also Jun and I started dating.

I started dating my classmate Hoshi and Jun was in relationship with our friend from primary school Ji. Both of us were trying to make it work, because we were happy with those people, but everytime we started talking about each other in front of our partners, they kept telling us "Then if you have to talk about him this much, why don't you date with him instead of me? He is always the one, who asks you to help and you always run to help him, even though we're on a date or something..." or "Why are you looking at her photos often? Are you in love with her or what? I thought, that you're in the relationship with me, not her!".

We were so tired of this and because of that both of us decided to break up with each other's partner and we focused more on our studies.

Yes, we felt like we weren't complete, cuz both of us wanted to start something on our own, but at the same time, we were still young adults and we had whole life in front of us.
