Meghamalika, sweetly called as megha by her family and friends. She is 23 years old. She is very beautiful with fair skin and long wavy black hair which falls onto her waist. Her father Sathyannarayana is a school teacher, while her mother Lakshmi is a homemaker. She is working at a prestigious college as a junior lecturer for engineering classes. She was the topper of her batch in electrical and electronics engineering and thus the college itself offered the post right after completing her course and she gladly took it. Present she is doing her post graduation with full scholarship along with her job in the same college.  She has a little sister who is studying B.Tech in computer science in the same college, whose name is Ragamalika, shortly raga.

She has a best friend named madhu, who has her own café cum bookstore. Originally her family owns the café but after her studies she took over that small family business and make it into a café along with bookstore by providing calm and peaceful time for the customers, and now it's making more profits than before.

When megha asked by her father to get married, she doesn't have any reason to object, so said yes.

Koushal Ram, as everyone called him ram, is a software employee at an MNC company working as a team leader, he is 30 years old, he has big round black frame glasses for his eyes as he has sight problems from childhood. He always wore plain clothes, there is no colour in his life, he always seems inapproachable for girls because of his introvert behaviour with them, he is not the chill type, he is a man of few words. In three words he is described as bore, bland and maddog. He always wore this blank face which shows no interest in anything, there is neither excitement nor hindrance shows in his face.

But he was so very much in love with his teammate vaishnavi, who was his junior. After a painful break-up he believes no girl is going to love him and the feeling, love is not for him. His father Krishnamurthy is a retired Army officer who is very strict and at the same time soft at heart. His mother sarada is a homemaker.
