Author's POV:

On Saturday karthik went to koushu's house as usual for work. They two got busy in themselves due to heavy workload. They had breakfast and locked themselves in the guest room. They both were vigorously typing in their laptop, both were eager to complete the stupid project which doesn't let them enjoy their weekends with their loved ones.

Koushu was planning to took Megha on a date, while karthik was planning to spend his weekend at madhu's to seize her attention.

"So when are you going to propose my sister!?" Karthik asked koushu out of nowhere. Koushu just smiled that his friend knows him like back of his hand.

"After this hectic project, next weekend maybe. I wanted to spend some peaceful time with her without any workload." Koushu told his friend what was in his heart.

"But do you think she would accept!?" Koushu express his fears to his friend.

"Of course Ra bava! Don't you know how much she loves you. She always tried to steal glances at you. Didn't you see how much she felt happy when She saw you eat her handmade food with content!" Karthik exclaimed making koushu's lips curved into a small smile.

Of course he knows, how wouldn't he know that she always looks at him like there's nothing exist in the world apart from him. She always shiver under his single touch, a good way of shiver which never fails to paint a lovely rose colour on her beautiful chubby cheeks. The way she takes his name gives tingling feeling in his chest, whenever she does that.

Her eyes look at him like morning sun rays making him sober, but her smile is just like the moon light making him dizzy.

"I love Madhu" karthik stated after sometime.

"I know. And I believe she's the one for you." Koushu said with a knowing smile.

"But she doesn't respond to me. I'm going to her café everyday but she doesn't even spare a glance at me." He poured his heart out.

"She's not your ordinary girl who can fall for your flirting." Koushu explained.

"I know! But I need you to find out if she has someone that she likes. I also want you to put a good word for me." Karthik demanded like a child.

"How would I do that. We didn't have that much friendship between us, we barely talk with each other." Koushu exclaimed, he only know Madhu as megha's friend and they ever exchanged was only a few words in these few weeks of his married life.

"I know. But you can ask sister about Madhu anytime. They're best friends who bound with super glue. You can make sister put a good word for me infront of Madhu." Karthik almost whined.

"Okay I'll help you. But what do I get in return for that." Koushu asked with a smirk.

Karthik scowled at his friend and not so soon it was replaced by a naughty smile.

"I love you ra bava. Oooommmmmaaaa." Karthik wounded his arms around his best friends neck and make kissing sounds while trying to kiss him.

"Mmm.." koushu groaned in annoyance and push his friend far away from him. After that he made sure to kick karthik's butt by his leg, with a scowl on his face still not believing karthik's naughty acts.

"Idiot." He muttered under his breath.

Karthik just pouted like a girlfriend who got rejected and went silent for a second.

Then he again continued,
"So when are you going to tell Megha ." Karthik asked koushu as he understands what he was talking about.

"About what!?" Karthik exclaimed feigning ignorance and innocence. Of course he knows what his friend was talking about, but he think he wasn't ready yet. He doesn't know if Megha loves him or not, but he was sure that he was not going to propose her without telling everything about him and his past.

"You know what I'm talking about. And I know you can be happy, only when you open up your heart with her." Karthik stressed the point.

Koushu knows what his friend told him was true. He cannot be happy with Megha if he doesn't open up to her. He wanted to get rid of the burden from his heart which he still carrying. Because wounds can heal by the passing time, but the scars remains the same.

He never thought that scars would be fade away but unknowingly to him those scars just disappeared into thin air slowly from the time Megha entered into his life. His life becoming better day by day, and his heart was happier day by day.

"I know. I soon will." Koushu replied coming out of his thoughts.

Then suddenly the air got heavy in the room so making the mood lightening karthik dragged koushu saying he was hungry and they should go to eat.

While eating he saw that megha's mood was off, she was playing with her food but not eating. She was just occasionally giving a killer look to karthik and that's it.

"Megha are you okay! Do you feel unwell?"  Koushu enquired.

"No I'm good. I'm just feeling a little bit tired." She shrugged off.

Koushu just nodded and thought 'maybe she was bored staying at home from two weeks already. I should take her out tomorrow.' he gave mental note himself and cursed the project which was making him busy.

After that he continued his work and had dinner then karthik left.

They went to sleep and as usual Megha got him a glass of milk with no escaping he drank it silently like a kid. After sometime he got remembered of what karthik ask him to do and he rose to sitting position. Megha was sleeping on her side turning her back to him. He wanted to ask if Madhu has someone in her heart and give her a hint of karthik's genuine feeling to her best friend.

But when he tried to ask Megha she didn't respond, so he thought maybe she slept and he too lied down thinking where should he take her tomorrow.

After sometime when Megha wound her arms around his torso in her sleep. He adjusted her position as she was in his arms and placed her head on his chest then soon he also slept away.

At morning he left for jogging as everyday and when he returned he couldn't find Megha in the house. He went to fridge to take a water bottle and saw the sticky note on it saying she went out to buy some groceries.

So he went to freshen up and after making himself a coffee he took a seat on his couch when he heard the doorbell rang.

'who was it?' he thought. Megha knows password so she doesn't need to click on calling bell. Thinking that he went to answer the door and soon an annoyed expression took on his face on seeing the person infront of him.

"Won't you welcome me." Saying this karthik ignored his friend at the entrance and make himself comfortable on the couch.

"I thought we agreed on no work today." Koushu let an exasperated sigh .

"Yeah it was just when I was wrapping up in the morning I couldn't found an important document in the file. So I thought maybe it dropped here when we work yesterday." Saying this he went to the guest room.

They search every corner of the room but couldn't find the document. At last karthik searched under the bed but the bed was of very short height, it almost looked like it has no legs. It was the latest model, since it was very low to ground they didn't have much light there. So when he opened his mobile torch and saw there was a paper on the ground stucked between the wall and the bed. If they want to move the bed to get the paper they need to move it with great difficulty since it was very heavy. They need to move the huge thing almost for some space, which could led a person to go in between the wall and bed freely. It was a huge task.

They both tried to reach it with their hands with some scale and everything they think would work. They even tried to use the broomstick but to their shock it stucked more in between the bed and the wall.

So they have got a plan, koushu would try to reach the paper with broom stick while karthik lift the heavy thing a bit. Koushu just stretched his hands while lying down under the bed, one hand holding the mobile torch while the other was trying to reach the paper with broomstick. Karthik was groaning with the heavy weight which was slipping from his hands.

"Don't move. Stay still." Koushu hissed  in annoyance that he couldn't reach the paper and moreover karthik was loosing his hold on the bed making koushu bear some weight. It was already difficult for him to go under that low bed on top of that he was kissing the ground once in a while whenever karthik lose his hold a little bit.

"Be quick. I can't hold it anymore." He groaned with pain. The bed was too heavy. 'Why in the world did he buy such a heavy thing, even if he wanted to buy this much strong of a bed he should've placed it in his bedroom so that they can get into their thing without worry about breaking the bed.' karthik thought. His naughty mind didn't even left him in such time also.

"Just wait a little longer. I'm almost there." Koushu replied with the same groan and finally he could reach the paper and dragged it by using the hard end of the broomstick.

"Aaahhhh..." While groaning, koushu squeezed out himself from under the bed with a victory smile and karthik let the bed fall on the ground with a small thud sound letting out a relief sigh saying "finally."

They both laughed in triumph.

After that they both fell on the bed taking deep breaths due to the stunt they just pull. They were exhausted. Then they went to the living room.

Koushu made coffee for both of them and they were silently sipping their coffee with their own thoughts.

"Okay bava. I'm leaving. I'm going to madhu's café. I didn't see her yesterday also." Karthik rose up from the couch to take a leave.

Koushu was taking his mobile to call megha as she didn't came home till yet, he was worried for her. He just nodded to his friend with a smile and said "bye bava."

Then only his mobile pinged indicating he got a message.

"I'm going to madhu. It's an emergency." He read the message and immediately replied...

"What happened. Do you want me to come over!?" His heart was beating rapidly not knowing what happened to her. Just when karthik was about to open the door, he called him "bava wait."

Karthik turned to him in a questioning look and koushu just shown him the message. Karthik was worried if something has happened to Madhu. The both men were eagerly waiting for the reply in anticipation.

"No need to worry. It's just our another friend got a problem so we're going to her. I'll call you if I need something." The both men visibly relaxed on seeing the message.

"Okay take care. Don't hesitate to call me." He replied with a relief.

Both men were disappointed as they have to cancel their date plans with their respective girls so they decided to complete the work in their hands so they could finish the project before the deadline itself as they had no interest in enjoying the weekend without their girls, unaware of their girls thoughts.

Here the two little over thinkers are deciding to how could they bring the two men closer and make them open up about them to their families so they could live happily without any fear. Shockingly they were planning to get the two men on a date.

In home the two men ordered breakfast and indulge in their work. The weekend just gone like it never came.

At evening when Megha entered the home she saw karthik was just going to leave. She smiled at both of them. Koushu thought 'yesterday she was glaring now she was smiling. What happened to her.'

Then karthik went to Madhu as usual but she was being friendly with him for his surprise, rather I say shock.
After that they both went to their respective homes and slept after having dinner.

Koushu and Megha just ordered dinner and went to bed like nothing happened. She behaved normally with him.

The four of them were on their own thoughts.

Koushu was thinking how he is going to open up to her about his past and express his love to Megha. He wanted to have family with Megha. He wanted love and cherish her to the end of his life. He wanted to have kids with her and give her all he could in the world.

Megha was thinking how she should make him feel comfortable and no inferior because of his sexuality. And how she could make him open up to his parents about his love with karthik. And most importantly how to see koushu just as a friend to her without getting dirty thoughts.

Karthik was thinking what suddenly happened to Madhu that she was being friendly with him, not that he has any problem with that. But it's too sudden so he couldn't believe his eyes. He was thinking about how to make a further move to change this friendship to something more.

Madhu was thinking how to help karthik get his love even if she couldn't get him. She wants his happiness more than anything because she loves him.

Soon everyone slept with their own thoughts and drifted to deep slumbers.

Finally the misunderstanding was cleared (unfortunately not to them, it's clear for only us😉).

I thought you would be waiting to know what is the actual matter happened in the room between both men. So I uploaded this chapter for you my darlings.
