Radhika was lost in her own world while resting her head on her mother Shivani's lap. Shivani was lovingly caressing her head," Radhu, you are happy right?!"

"Ma why won't I be happy?! Arjun is my first and last love." Radhika replied with a beetroot red face.

"Baby you know right that Arjun lived with Kriti under one roof?!" Shivani said hesitantly as she knew she was hurting her only daughter's open wounds.

"Ma it's his past and I think what is in the past should be left in the past only. He came clean about it in the beginning itself. I love him enough and more to look beyond all this." Radhika said with strong determination in her lovedrugged eyes.

"Baby I don't want to upset you but Arnav would have been a better guy. I mean he has been such an obedient son to his mom and dad. I am not saying Arjun is not but when you compare the two then Arnav understands and values family relationships more than Arjun does."

Radhika straightened up with a jerk," Ma I don't love Arnav and I will never have you compare my husband with anyone, not even his own brother because he is incomparable. I love Arjun not Arnav. Period!" Radhika said way more harshly than she intended. She wasn't a type of a person who was rude and arrogant but say a word against Arjun and she will bring you to tears!

"Beta I just...."

"Ma I am sorry. I know I shouldn't have spoken to you in that manner. I am really very sorry." Radhika had tears in her eyes too. She must have raised her voice before her mom for the first time probably because she never remembered when did she last do it.

"It's okay darling. I think I shouldn't have spoilt your happy mood but silly me thought I will just share my feelings with my bestie." Shivani said as she wiped her tears with the hem of her sari.

"Ma you can always open up to me but don't say anything against my husband. I lose my mind when someone does that." Radhika said as she hid her face in her mother's blossom.

"Just a reminder he is not your husband yet." Shivani said playfully.

"Ma please." Radhika covered her face with her hands.

Radhika was lying in her bed changing sides as sleep was miles away from her. She could feel a powerful rush of euphoria inside her just by thinking about her life ahead with Arjun. Ping! A message that popped in her phone brought her out of her la la la land of Arjun.

She smiled at his usage of endearment in his message.

She opened her window and he shocked her to the core as he jumped inside her room and over her. She stumbled backwards and when she was about to kiss the ground, he caught her waist in nick of time.

"Arjun, what are you doing here?!" She asked coyly.

"Right now looking at my beautiful fiance." He teased her as he tucked her hair strands behind. She was dressed in a pink tank top and blue shorts that made her look cute and sexy as fuck.

"Arjun, please."

He placed his finger on her lips," Did some one ever tell you that you are a temptress?!" He asked as he brushed his lips on her cheek.

"Temptress! You should get your eyes checked, Mr superstar." She straightened herself.

"And you should get your mind checked because you really don't know how beautiful you are both inside and outside." He stared right in the eye. She was once again reminded that how good Arjun is at intimidating people.

"Yes that is why guys always friendzoned me in my college. I am not complaining just stating the truth." She shrugged. She was least interested in the boys in her college so it was not one of her issues. Arjun meant everything to her and no guy ever managed to have that kind of heartening effect on her.

Arjun wasn't a fool to not understand that Radhika had a poor self esteem. He couldn't understand what is the reason for such a beautiful women to have such less confidence in herself?!

He held her by her shoulder,"The truth is that men are dicks! We are very selfish in comparison to women. We want different women at different point of time. A college going guy wouldn't try his luck with you because he knows that you are not his hook up buddy and luckily for you, all the guys who had friendzoned were not perverts. I never went for good girls like you when I was in college because my mom did not raise a fool. I knew the value of dignity for girls like you. My go to options were experienced women who wanted to play as much as I did. I was the bad guy but not a devil to woo some nice girl and later flick her away." He explained her," Most playboys don't do good girls because they don't want to get tied down also they don't want to corrupt the girl's innocence."

"Are you placating me or hurting me by repeatedly emphasizing that I am not your first in anything?!" She asked in a hurt tone. He could be right about his philosophies of boys and their womanizing ways but at the same time, he had wound her by revealing about his shenangians. She was unwavering about her love for him but she didn't really appreciate his double standards in life.

"For a petite little thing, you seem very, very jealous." He husked as he lowered her on the bed. She turned her face away," I am not jealous." She said in a haughty tone.

"So you'll be fine if I dine with kiara tommorrow?!" He gave her a half smile.

"Kiara, that girl who is roped in your new film?!" Of course she knew about kiara who was currently media's darling owing to her fashion campaigns and her new film with Arjun. 

"Yes she asked me out for dinner date." He smirked.

"So you'll leave me and go to her?!" She asked weakly. Tears brimmed in her eyes.

Guilt hit him hard as he realised he shouldn't have taken it that far. Radhika is a sweet girl and she didn't deserve all this. Already she taking on a guy like him was too much to ask for.

He wiped her tears," I will never leave you for anyone or anything in this world. You are my talisman. I am launching my own production company this year. I think you are lucky for me."

"Then why do you hurt me by your callous comments?!" She sniffles.

"I was just teasing baby. I didn't know that you will break out in full out cry." He coaxed her.

"I hate you!" She said but her eyes gave away her lie. Her own pillow drenched with her tears as she had burrowed one side of her face in it.

He held her chin firmly and turned her face towards him,"No you don't and you can't hate me ever." He added angered by her words. He didn't know why but he felt lost when he heard her say that she didn't love him even if it's a lie.

"That's my problem...." He cuts her off by taking her lips in a hard kiss. He kissed her with mad passion and when they broke apart, they gasped for breaths together in harmony.

"Radhika, when i saw you for the first time. I was bowled over by you. When we kissed for the first time, I realised I will marry no one but you." He told her as his gaze penetrated deep into her. She threw her arms around his neck and pushed her face deep into his chest. Whatever he said was nothing but the truth. He might not love her right now but he was wise to know that she was the kind of girl who is to be brought home to meet mom and dad. Love was a superficial concept in Arjun's eyes. He could bet on Radhika being an ideal wife. Kriti would have gone back and forth with him had he pulled this ideal wife shit with her. She was gone from his life for good. Radhika would manage everything effortlessly. He did not want to spend the rest of his life getting bitched at and losing who he is. He wanted someone whose world will begin at him and end at him.

"I want to ask you something?!" She whispers say probably mindful of the fact that they can get grounded by the families for this sneak out.

"If it's about my exes then I rest my case." He lifts his palm to her lips to put a stop to this discussion which he thinks is waste of time and energy.

"No it's not it's just that mom told me you can cook." Radhika said.

He cocked his brow,"My mom or yours?!"

"Our mom." She replied and a smile tugged at her lips.

Her acceptance of his family as her own warmed his heart. She is like no other. He thought to himself.

He caressed her cheek,"Yeah baby I can cook like a mad man. I lived alone for eight years  and I always thought I should be able to fix myself a decent meal on my own. I will cook for you occasionally but we can't do it on daily basis."

Of course she knew he could cook even before his mom revealed it to her. She had read about his culinary skills in one of his interview that was in one of those page 3 magazines several months ago. 

Her eyes sparkled like snow flakes,"Wow! Arjun Mehra is going to cook for Miss Mishra! I will make a fortune if I sell this news." She was damn happy!

He shook his head,"No it should be Arjun Mehra is going to cook for Mrs Arjun Mehra."

"Mrs Arjun Mehra, I like the sound of it." She said with a wide smile flashing on her face.

"I love it baby." He said as he kissed her forehead. She closed her eyes as if memorizing his damp lips on her skin.

He took her hand in his and kissed her knuckles," Baby I know you have watched me on screen as the king of Romance and a kind of guy who knows how to court a girl and make her happy but the truth is that person is not me. I am a very very private person and certainly not a big show off like they show me on-screen. I am a man of few words and I don't really like to waste my words where there is no value of my words. I like you a lot and I want us to get married not because I like you but because I trust you to handle me in my worst and best situations. I have faith in you, Radhika and I know you will not give up on me no matter what. Always remember this that I might act like an absolute asshole but never doubt my commitment towards you. There will be high and low moments but nothing should come all out in open when we are under scrutinity otherwise you can break my head inside our bedroom." He cracked a joke in end to which she giggled like a silly school girl.

"You trust me, don't you?!" He asked.

"Yes but I wanted to ask you something, can I?!"

"Baby we are going to share our lives with each other and you don't need my permission to ask me anything. I will try my best to be honest."

"Are you over kriti?! I read an article about you two that you dated her for three years and you were quiet serious about her."

"Radhika, I told you that there were women in my past, some meant something and others were just flings. I never had time for relationships but kriti happened in my life unexpectedly. We were paired together for two films and that's how our circumstances brought us together. We shared an apartment which I am going to put on sale soon now. I am not going to lie to you and claim that we didn't share a bed or never had sex sorry slept with each other because that's but obvious. I will not put her down or insult the relationship I shared with her by saying that I regret it. It just happened and it has ended and we have talked about it. I had my closure and I am fine with that."

She nodded but her eyes could tell that how upset she was by knowing all this from him. This was too much to take in one day. She sucked in her tears that emersed in the back of her eyes.

"Are you angry?!" He asked lifting her chin with his finger under it.

"I have no reason to hold that against you. I wasn't in your life back then but i will be lying if I say I am okay." She said in a hurt tone.

"Radhika, I...."

"Are you still friends with her?!" She cuts him off.

"Baby we are not friends but I share a cordial relationship with her. We thought that our profession shouldn't get affected because of our split."

"Okay." She nodded and gave him a small forced smile.

He took her in his arms and tucked her hair strands behind her ear. He couldn't stop himself from touching her again and again. It gave him so much hope that she wouldn't back out of this marriage. Life would be sweeter if he had sweet Radhika by his side. She had no reason to be insecure or jealous because he wasn't going anywhere but he liked that she cared so deeply about him and she was possessive of him.

"Baby when you sleep under the white sky, you feel so calm and peaceful but you don't make your home there, do you?!"

She gave him a confused look as she was clueless about his insistence.

"Do you?!" He persisted.

"No. How can someone make a home under the white sky?! It's not safe and endangered."

"There you are. The girls I dated or I have been with me were my white sky. It was me enjoying my bachelor life. I thought Kriti and I had a  future but things don't go according to plan always. Now when I want to make a home which I feel like coming back to every day, I want a sensible girl who knows the value of marriage and my  family. I have already told you that I like you but I didn't tell you that I admire you. You keep your own family so happy and you put others over yourself. I can't wait to make you my wife." His lustful gaze leered on her body," In every sense." He concluded in a salacious tone.

"Arjun, please don't look at me like that." She said shyly as she covered her face with her hands.

"You are going to be my wife so I can look at you whichever way I want and I can touch you wherever I want and I can fuc...."

She palmed his lips to stop him from saying anything further. He chuckled at her flushed state. He leaned in and when she thought he was going to kiss her lips, he pecked her forehead instead.

"Good night beautiful." He said huskily.

"Stay with me you can go early in the morning." She requested.

The curve of his lips widened as he looked at her lovingly," Goodnight baby."

He straightened up but she caught his hand," But why not?!"

"Because this relationship is different and special. We are getting married not seeing if we could be together. The fact is we are going to be together and I want to do things the right way. Yours and my parents trust me and you. I don't want to break that trust and I won't be able to control myself if I sleep in one bed with you."

She jolted up and hopped into his arms,"I love you so much, Arjun."

He pulled back and kissed her forehead," I know baby and each day of your life, I will give you new reasons to love me more."
