Monica's POV

Dusk and I had taken Weiss to the medical room, however Weiss seemed upset....maybe because she was beaten by someone else for once.

Dusk said that she would stay with Weiss. So I nodded in approval to her choice and made my way back to Hebi and Kurisutaru....

Hebi and Kurisutaru were sitting at a café table in total silence, seemingly bored that no one was with them- well they are enemies- I mean frenemies so why won't  they talk to each other?

Hebi noticed me and smirked, hissing. "You're finally here."

I smiled, seeing Kurisutaru throw death glares towards Hebi in the corner of my eye. I smiled and sat in between Hebi & Kurisutaru.

It was silent....

....however after about 6 minutes of silence Kurisutaru spoke up. "Well....that was quite a fight we saw, wasn't it?"

"Yeah, but now we know that we shouldn't mess with Kira." Hebi pointed out.

"More or less let Kira and Weiss argue, because their argument will get physical." I added.

Kurisutaru chuckled. "True...."

Kurisutaru, Hebi and I talked more about random things, until it was beginning to get dark....So we all began to walk to our dorm....

But on the way back to our dorm room, we noticed that a number of aircrafts were flying above us, in the same direction.

"Is there a secret war happening, right under our noses or something?" Hebi questioned, no one in particular.

"Hmm, we should follow those air crafts.." Kurisutaru thought out loud.

Hebi and I nodded in agreement, so we all followed the air crafts and they led us to a place where faunus' in masks were loading schnee crystal tanks into the aircrafts, so we hid behind a wall.

"What are the white fang doing and why are they doing this?" I asked myself. But it seemed Kurisutaru heard me because he answered, "they're stealing schnee dust crystals....but for what purpose?"

At that moment, a man with Amber hair, and a cane, came out of one of the aircrafts. I gasped. "That's roman Torchwick!" I whisper-yelled.

"Isn't he supposed to be in prison, how did he get out?" Hebi hissed.

I didn't answer, I merely sprinted towards roman and put him in a headlock. The faunus' in masks-the white fang-almost immediately pointed their weapons towards me, however they lowered their weapons as soon as they saw me....probably because I'm a Faunus as well, and they know who I am.

"What the-....oh great." Roman said bluntly.

"My brothers and sisters, why are you aiding this criminal!?" I yelled, my voice full of sadness.

The Faunus' looked away, ashamed. "Don't worry about that little fox. now tell me, why are you out alone at this time of dusk?" Roman asked, putting emphasis on the word 'alone' while smirking.

I didn't answer, I only gritted my teeth. However, I failed to notice roman's smirk grow wider, as he pointed his cane to the ground and shot it, resulting in a big explosion that blew me and everyone in the area- back a little bit.

I ended up hitting my back against one of the tanks. "O-ouch...." I winced in pain, trying to stand up.

Kurisutaru and Hebi gasped, coming out from behind the wall and rushing to my side. "Aah~ so you're not alone?" Roman smirked. "I was gonna say, it is quite unusual to come out here on your own.."

Roman swung his cane around, slowly walking towards us. I whimpered as I tried to get up and onto my feet but failed. Hebi hissed while Kurisutaru growled, his eyes slowly turning a bright yellow colour- making him stand out in the current area.

I look up at the sky to see that the moon was partly showing- even though the sun was starting to set, I gasped and tried to move Kurisutaru out of the moonlight, while Hebi stood there shocked at seeing Kurisutaru acting the way he is now.

"Oh? What's this? Has a Faunus turned savage?" Roman taunted Kurisutaru, as kuri lunged towards him.

"Shut up, shut up, shut up, and DIE!" Kurisutaru growled, tackling Roman to the ground and bared his teeth at him.

Roman smirked, shoving Kurisutaru off of him and pointing his Melodic Cudgel towards Kurisutaru. "No, stop!" I reached my hand out in vain towards Kurisutaru, running to protect him.

However, it seemed as if roman wanted me to run towards Kurisutaru, because he immediately pointed his cane towards me and shot me. Although, I quickly shielded myself so I wouldn't take that much damage.

I was blown back into the same tank from before. I hit my head on the tank, and sunk to the floor. As my head throbbed from the indescribable pain I was feeling, Hebi hissed at Roman and lunged to him as Kurisutaru stared at me, completely frozen.

Hebi was now in a one-to-one combat with Roman, as Kurisutaru slowly made his way towards me. He rested my head on his chest and frowned. "Lady Monica, are you alright?" Kurisutaru questioned through growls, trying to fight his other side.

"My head....hurts...." I groaned, looking up at Kurisutaru seeing that one of his eyes were now bright yellow, while the other eye was its' normal icy-blue colour....he's trying to resist it....

"Don't worry, I'll get-" Kurisutaru cut himself off by crying in pain, probably trying to resist the moonlight's effect on him. I frowned, sitting up and staring at him.

But then I heard a scream, so I snapped my head in the direction of where the scream had came from, to see Hebi on the floor unconscious with Roman towering over him, smirking.

I gasped, my eyes widening. "Hebi!!"

As I yelled out hebi's name, Roman turned his attention to me and pointed his Melodic Cudgel at me, firing it.

I closed my eyes and waited for roman's attack to hit me, but instead....I heard an explosion and then a scream. I shot my eyes open and looked to see Kurisutaru protecting me, his back turned towards Roman as the attack hit his back. Kurisutaru smiled, his eyes still yellow and blue....he put his hand on my cheek and smiled....

As if in slow motion, Kurisutaru began to close his eyes and collapse on the floor, letting go of my cheek in the process.

I stayed frozen for a moment. oh no....my family and friend are now unconscious, and they're in condition to fight.

'I'm so angry with myself!'

'Why didn't I help them?!'

'Why didn't I protect them!?'

'What is wrong with me!?'

I mentally scolded myself, covering my face at the fact that my family and friend were fatally injured.

I heard a dark chuckle erupt from Roman's mouth, as he slowly made his way towards me. "Don't worry little fox, just be glad that I haven't hurt you....yet!"

I gritted my teeth, something boiling underneath my skin. "How dare you hurt my family and friend...." I clenched my fist, as one of my eyes began to feel a bit weird.

My hair began to rise up, I began to float in the air and my eyes were now surrounded by a fiery glow. As the sun was setting, the sun seemed to get hotter- allowing me to use a ray of sunlight and fire it towards Roman.

I didn't have any control over myself anymore, I had no idea where this new power had come from....

I had created a ring of Fire around Roman, as he tried to process what was going on. The white fang cowered away from me, in search for shelter and protection, so that left Roman all by himself.

I grimaced, summoning fire balls. I was about to launch my attack towards Roman but he shot his weapon at me, knocking me down.

"It looks as if I've found another one of them...." Roman smirked, as the ring of Fire disappeared and he retreated.
