"Wilbur!" I shouted as I walked into the little closet besides the front door and went into the racks of jackets trying to find the warmest of them all. "Yeah?" I heard him faintly reply.

I smiled as I found it and pulled it off the hanger and slipped it on. "I'm going to the store, wanna come?" I asked as I adjusted it onto my frame and crouched down to find my shoes.

"Yeah I'll be there in a sec!" He shouted back. I could hear his big feet upstairs moving around rapidly. I guess he was streaming or something now I feel bad. I slipped my shoes on and put my phone and the shopping list on of my pockets.

"Wilbur if you're streaming I can just go alone" I said as I went to the little bowl in the kitchen which had the keys of the car. "No worries, I'm already here" he said with a smile. He let out a sigh softly trying not to seem that he's out of breath.

He got his own shoes and jacket on as well. He stood up straight and reached for his pocket. He placed the soft beanie on my head making me groan.

"Why do I have to wear this?" I asked as I tried to take it off but he kept his firm hands on my head. "Because it's cute on you" he simply said with a soft smile. I looked away and headed off the door.

We got into the car and waited for it to heat up for a bit and we started on our way to the grocery store. It was the middle of February so it was cold but snow was barely anywhere. It's mostly just dirty snow from the roads that is left around. The weather has been in freezing temperatures though throughout the week.

Wilbur has been on my ass whenever I would leave the house, making sure I'm wearing his favorite beanie on my head to keep my ears warm. I appreciate it really, it's just I'm not one with beanies. It's not sort of my thing. I finally pulled up to the driveway and parked the car fairly close in case we have a lot of stuff to carry.

"Do you have the list?" Wilbur asked as he closed his door and ran towards mine. "Yes and I can open my own door Wilbur" I said as he insisted on opening mine for me. "I'm just being a gentleman for my prince, can I not?" He said. "Stop it before I hit you" I threatened as I locked the doors of the car and made sure all were locked as well.

We got inside the store and took a small cart inside since it isn't much that we need since we already went the previous week. "Okay, hear I'll let you check the stuff out" I told him as I handed him the paper with a small pen.

"We need veggies so let's go over here and work our way over there" he said as I nodded and moved the cart towards the vegetable isles. Item after item we bagged them and placed them inside the cart.

We headed towards the bakery goods and Wilbur smiled at the smell of fresh bread being baked. "Wanna get some of these?" Wilbur said as he pointed his finger into a tray of Chelsea buns. I looked at our budget and we had more than enough to spend on other items as well.

"Yeah and get some cinnamon buns too!" I said as I left the cart with him while he looked at other pastries while I went towards the cake isle. "I really want an ice cream cake.." I said to myself as I looked at their prices and cringed.

"Super expensive for such a small piece" I said and someone snickered next to me. I didn't turn since I thought they were laughing at something themselves until they tapped my shoulder. I turned to meet eyes with a short gal.

She had black tight curls and had big cheetah print glasses on her nose. She was way smaller than me so I leaned a bit to smile. "Hello, did you need something?" I asked her politely which she threw her hands up in defense.

"No! I just wanted to tell you that you're very handsome" she said in a tiny voice. I smiled brightly and nodded. "You're very beautiful as well, your glasses really fit you!" I said making her slightly blush at my compliment.

"Y-you think so?" She asked looking to the side a bit. I nodded and moved my hand around as if I'm trying to explain something. "Yeah totally! They also go along with your shoes and that top" I said. Her smile kept growing and growing and she adjusted her glasses on her face as well.

Wilbur on the other hand, was already done choosing his pastries a long time ago and was watching the interaction (y/n) was having with that random girl. "Doesn't he know she's trying to flirt?" Wilbur quietly asked himself but (y/n) was oblivious to flirting if it isn't Wilbur.

(Y/n) and the girl kept talking and talking until Wilbur had enough and walked over smoothly. He snaked his hands around (y/n)'s hips and placed his head on his shoulder softly. "Hey there!" Wilbur innocently said.

The girl immediately noticed the body language the new man that came had and realized he wasn't single at all. She stepped back and smiled brightly. "Sorry! I didn't know I have to go!" She quickly said and (y/n) was in the middle of a sentence and frowned.

"Oh! Do you want my number?" He asked her but she simply waved him off and took her basket and left towards the other side of the store. (Y/n) frowned and got off the hands of Wilbur. "Why did you scare her off? She seemed really nice" he said with a pout.

"You do realize she was hitting on you right?" Wilbur asked as he started pushing he cart towards the other section of the store and looked at the list again. "No she wasn't, she wanted to be friends" (y/n) said making Wilbur roll his eyes and end it at that.

They managed to finish all the shopping and bagged their stuff into the trunk of their car. "Okay, wanna get something to eat or at home?" I asked as I turned the heater a little higher and softly rubbed my cold hands together.

"I could go for a bite- WAIT!" Wilbur started as he fetched out his phone and started swiping all over the place. I snorted as I got my hands onto the shift gear and got out of park got off the parking lot and started driving away.

"Let's do this! It's only like a couple of pounds" he said as he showed me a TikTok of two people ordering a lot of from McDonald's and only ending up paying a few pounds for all of it.

"Anything for my lover" I said as I headed my way towards McDonald's and Wilbur said a small 'YES!' and he leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on my cheek. "Wilbur!" I said as I physically blushed and he started laughing a little.

"You're so easy to embarrass " Wilbur said making me groan as the bottom of my neck started getting warm. We finally made it to McDonald's and Wilbur leaned over to the window to order since I didn't exactly know what the other people ordered in their TikTok.

While Wilbur was ordering he has elbow on the elbow rest in the middle with his phone on the other hand. My hand instinctively went straight to Wilbur's hair as I placed it inside and softly massaged his hair.

"And th-hen...sorry, then can I get two large fries?" Wilbur stuttered. Wilbur isn't one to get easily embarrassed the way I do. My eyes grew wide at the sound he let out. He gave me a side glance as in to make me stop which I did and he finished ordering. He moved back into his seat and didn't say anything as he turned to look at his phone.

I turned to steal a glance as I pulled up to the first window, and his ears were bright red. "I'm sorry for-" I apologized thinking I made him uncomfortable but he cut me off guard by saying, "that's the first time I stuttered like that!" He said with a small laugh.

I laughed too as I handed my card to the person in the first window and got it back in a few seconds. I then drove towards the second window and smiled at Wilbur. "That noise you let out was really cute" I said making him pinch my arm lightly. "Ow! What was that for?" I asked as the bags came up and I rushed them into the car and checked to make sure we got everything right. We then headed our way back home. "That's because you're supposed to be the cute one".

It took almost half an hour putting our groceries away and we finally sat down to eat. Wilbur put on a movie for us to watch while we ate as well. "Here I got you some" he said as he handed me some of my favorite dressing for my nuggets.

We ate rather fast as I stood up throwing out our food and went to sit back down with Wilbur. "Can you get the blanket?" I asked him as he stood and reached for it and wrapped us together.

I leaned back and laid down while Wilbur quickly went to lay down on my chest. "Why do you always insist of being on top of me? You're so big" I said as I moved a little trying to get comfortable.

He looked up at me with his chin on my chest with a pout. "I wanted you to play with my hair though~" he whined. I blushed at the way he sounded and sighed. "Alright, go to sleep then" I said as he dropped his head and tangled our legs together.

I put my fingers through his hair softly and slow. Wilbur let out a content sigh and hugged my chest a little tighter which made me flush with embarrassment. I laid my head against the couch armrest and closed my eyes. The noises from the movie made me sleepy so we both fell asleep together in the couch.
