Techno's adoption (Part 2)

Since you liked the first part so much, here's a second one :)
------

Philza arrived at the black and purple portal after a short walk. The young Piglin was now curled up in his arms, lazily playing with his hat that he gave them as they were starting to get tired. The ominous sounds of the portal made shivers run up Phil's spine as he watched the purple swirls move around. He was realizing a rather big problem now... how was he going to explain Jack's death? Especially while holding a baby Piglin? The people of his village will kill the poor child on sight if Phil isn't careful enough. Why is he only realizing this now...

He looks down at the Piglin and smiles when they look back up at him, trying to copy his smile in an adorable way. "Hey little guy... I know you are tired and want to sleep... but you have to help me a bit now." The Piglin just stared up at him with curious eyes as Phil started to move some stuff around in the bag that he had brought along. "You need to be very quiet. And don't move until I get you out okay?" The child nodded and allowed Phil to wrap them in his extra cloak that he took off and put them in the bag. Once he secured the bag on his side again he slowly walked through the portal.

The cold air of the Overworld made him shiver as he wasn't wearing his extra cloak anymore, but it only took him a few moments to get used to the temperature again. The Piglin on the other hand was glad that they are wearing the extra clothing, because for them it's freezing cold. "You are back sooner than expected." One of the portal guards looked at him suspicious, holding his weapon in hand. "Where is Jack? You are supposed to be by his side the whole trip." Phil just looked down and walked towards the exit of the large chamber. "Hey! I'm talking to you!" "My first priority is to report to the council... not you." He left, leaving the guard angry. With how popular and well known Jack was, it wouldn't suprise Phil if the guard knew him personally.

He walked down the gravel path through the village, receiving many respectful greetings and nods as he went, as he was one of the few people that are allowed to travel through the Nether as well as the only person known to mankind who survived in the wilderness, completely by themselves. Usually he doesn't mind them looking at him, even tho he doesn't really enjoy attention from others, but now it made him anxious. What if they notice the Piglin child somehow? He can't let that happen. Not after he promised to take care of him.

Once he finally arrived at the large building in the center of the village, his body noticeably tensed up. Only a short report. You can do this. They won't notice the child... just stay focused. After taking a deep breath, Phil walked into the building. Only a few people were in the long hallway as he made his way down to the main meeting room. They waved at him and he waved back, still trying to keep his expression as calm as possible. When he arrived at the large wooden doors, he hesitated. The Piglin was squirming in his bag, either cold or uncomfortable. "Shhhh... you have to be quiet... just a little longer..." The squirming stopped again. Taking another deep breath, he finally knocked.

A few seconds later a woman opened the door and looked up at him with a bored expression. But as soon as she actually recognized him, stepped aside to let him in. Inside the room was a large table with 15 chairs, 7 on each side and one at the head of the table. 15 people sat in these chairs and were now looking at the newcomer. "Mr Minecraft. Back so soon? We expect your travels to take longer." "I was... suprised as well." "How did Jack's visit to the ocean temple go? Was he pleased with what he found? Where is he?" This is it. Deep breaths Phil. You got this.

"I'm sorry to inform you... but Jack didn't make it out of the Nether..." Phil was met with shocked and disturbed faces after this statement. Then an uproar of questions and yellings like 'How?' and 'Why didn't you save him?!' and 'That's impossible!' The blonde just kept his head down and allowed them to get their anger and confusion out now before he starts to explain more. By now he had a made up story he could tell them on how he died, as long as he doesn't mess it up and say something wrong. The young Piglin in his bag flinched at the loud noises and whimpers quietly, to which Phil gently patted the bag for a few seconds while no one was looking. Just a bit longer little guy...

"EVERYONE SHUT UP!" Even Phil flinched at the sudden loud voice. He looked up at the man across the table, who had stood up from his chair to yell at the others. He was young, younger than Phil, and had large horns growing out of his head. People say he's part goat, but no one really knows if that's true. Hybrids are rare in this world and sometimes appear out of nowhere, even if both parents are human. So the origin of tgis man is just as much of a mystery as the fact that Phil has wings. No one knows how it happened, since his parents and no other human ever had wings before, but they are there anyways.

"How did Jack die?" The goat hybrid stared at him with dark eyes, watching his every move carefully. Phil swallowed the lump in his throat. Here goes nothing "He... he overestimated his own abilities... he was constantly trying to fight all the Nether creatures and kill them, but most of the time I was able to convince him not to. I just tried to keep him out of danger, since it was my job to protect him. After a while we saw a Nether fortress and Jack, well... he really wanted to go inside it and see if he could get some good loot, maybe even wither skulls. He wouldn't listen to me and just went in. When I tried to join him, he told me to wait outside, because he doesn't want me in his way and stealing his loot. He even threatened to stab me and blame it on the mobs if someone asks... so I waited.

He didn't come back for a while... then I saw him on one of the large bridges in the distance, followed by dozens of blazes and skeletons. I flew over to him to try and help him... but he fell before I got to him. I wasn't able to catch him in time... and almost landed in the lava myself..." He opened his right wing, we're some of his feathers were clearly singed, some even had burn marks. This was actually Jack's fault when he stopped him from attacking a few zombie pigmans and Jack pushed him near a lavafall. But it was believable enough.

Silence filled the room as the people in front of him processed the story. The horned man still observed him, trying to see any sign of him lying or flinching, but didn't see anything. In the end he sighed and sat back down. "What a shame... to lose such a good warrior. One of the best we ever had. He died as he lived... fighting for honor, glory and the safety of our village. He will be remembered as a hero." The horned man nodded at Phil. "You will be rewarded for your work. You did your best. You can leave now." Phil gave a small bow and left the room. Once outside he let out his breath that he didn't realize he was holding in. Now that this is over he can finally take the young Piglin to his new home... to safety.

With a small running start Phil opened his wings and flew back to his small house at the edge of the village. No one dares to bother him there, even when being a friendly guy to be around. Guess his wings just really scare some people away. But he wasn't complaining.
----

"Alright little guy... here we are." Phil carefully opened the bag once he sat it down on the couch. The Piglin poked its head out and made a happy noise once they saw Phil's blonde hair and blue eyes again. The blonde smiled and gently picked them up. "I'm sorry you had to go through that... you are safe now." The Piglin made another happy noise and snuggled against his chest, still wrapped in Phil's extra coat. "You are probably hungry... let's get you some food."

He sat the Piglin down on the kitchen counter as he started to look through his chest for some food. "Mmm... what do Piglins eat... do you like potatoes?" Phil showed the vegetable to the Piglin, who immediately tried to grab it with a happy squeal. He let them have it and watched as they happily ate it raw. "I guess you do... I need to remember that. But at least let me cook it next time before you eat it." While the Piglin was busy eating Phil tried to find some clothes he could give them, but only found a sweater he had grown out of a while ago. But it's better than nothing.

When he got back to the kitchen the Piglin was on their third potato and still wrapped in his cloak. "I found some clothes for you little guy." The Piglin looked up at him and squeaked again. This only made the blonde smile more as he carefully changed the Piglin out of his cloak and into the sweater. "Alright... just to make sure... you are a little boy right? A male?" The Piglin nodded and played with the way too long sleeves of his new sweater. "Do you have a name? Can you say your name?" But instead of a name he just got more little Piglin noises. "I... I don't understand what you are saying... I'm sorry..."

The Piglin just looked confused and kept staring up at him. "Are you okay with me giving you a new name?" To his suprised, the Piglin nodded again before reaching up to be picked up again. Phil gently picked him up and cradled him while looking around the room for an inspiration for a new name. The sight of his favorite sword on the wall caught his attention. "Mmm... Piglins like swords... maybe something with a blade..." The Piglin squealed in excitement and looked at the sword. "Nononono you are not getting that one. It's to dangerous to play with." Phil laughed and nuzzled him. "But I do have a name for you now... what about Technoblade? Techno for short?"

Again, the Piglin, now officially called Technoblade, squeaked and nuzzled his face into Phil's chest. "Alright then... Techno it is..." Phil went to sit down on the couch again, holding his new son in his arms, who looked up at him with big eyes and a bright smile, tiny tusks showing.

The blonde smiled and wrapped his wings around both of them. "Well... I guess I'm a father now."

This took way too long and got rushed at the end. I'm sorry... working on more stuff already.

I also changed from only SBI to Dream SMP in general... because I have a few nice ideas for Dream Team stuff but I'm too lazy to make a separate book for them.

See you next time!
