-Grians Pov-

The whole day I was so excited, Mumbo said he wanted to meet Sam and Taurtis which I agreed with. I think he would like Sam! They seem like the type to be friends in a weird way.

I waited outside Mumbos classroom watching him do his daily scramble around the classroom,cleaning the class until it was spottles. I asked why he does it because its not his job to or anything and no one asks him to and he just responded by saying I feel the need to so that was a sign to get him tested for OCD.
"Are you done yet Mumbooooo????", I asked poking my head in.
"Yes yes I'm almost done!", Mumbo called back angrily as he groaned in frustration.
"Do you need help?",I ask stepping into the classroom and walking to him.
"I can't get this STUPID TABLE CLEAN!",he scowled angrily making me step back a bit.
"Here just do this!", I used my jumper sleeve plus hand sanitiser to get the whiteboard clean in which Mumbo thanked me.
"Alright now that's done can we go see Taurtis and Sam now???", I asked him for the forth time in just half an hour. "Yes yes we can just stop asking me for god sake!", Mumbo slightly giggled,"Lead they way!", I grabbed his hand and ran out making him yelp as I dragged him out the school gates and onto the streets.

Finally we arrived at one of are hangout spots,
"This is the place you hang out at?", Mumbo asked slightly grimacing at the dilapidated building
"Yeah it is why?", I ask slightly confused at his reaction
"No reason it just seems very.....unsafe...you haven't got hurt whilst being here have you? You haven't tripped or cut yourself or been attacked or-", he stopped as soon as he got a look at my agitated face,"S-Sorry I was just a bit worried that's all....",he mutters
"It's fine and to answer all of that no I have not. I've been completely safe here and all of us haven't gotten hurt once whilst being here", I smile confidentially completely discarding the one time we had to baby proof the area because Taurtis kept tripping over lose peices of wall and hurting himself.
"Alright I'm just checking",he smiles warmly.
I went to speak but was cut off my a familiar voice,
"Gree-on!", Sam called,"We've been waiting for fourty minutes now what took you so long?!", he asked slightly angry.
"Sorry Sam,Mumbo had to clean after school!", I explain as I led Mumbo over to him."Weres Taurtis?", I ask.
"He's over their fussing about with his shoe laces", Sam pointed where a few blue and red dots glowed in the dark.
'Yup that's taurtis alright'
"Taurtis! My br-friend wants to meet you!", I yell to him,getting embarrassed I almost called Mumbo brother. Taurtis stopped,running over and almost tripping on his shoelaces.
"H-Hi Grian!", he panted trying to catch his breath. Mumbo eyed him and Sam up and down suspiciously making Taurtis shuffle his feet nervously. Mumbo held out his hand.
"Greetings! My name is Mumbo, Grian has told me a lot about you two! In fact he never shuts up about you both",he giggles making me blush out of embarrassment,"Especially you",The vampire smirks at Taurtis making him go a bit red. I noticed Sam's face turn slightly agitated and he glared at me making me feel a bit uncomfortable.
"I-Its nice to meet you too mumbo.",Taurtis smiled as he shook his hand.
"And your Sam I'm presuming?",Mumbo asked.
"Indeed I am",Sam grinned as he held out his hand. Mumbo smirked and shook it.

We stayed their for around two hours,talking and joking around. I noticed everytime Mumbo would comment on me and Taurtisis relationship Sam would grimace or roll his eyes in annoyance. It was so odd to me...

Me and Taurtis were just flirting when all the sudden Sam pulls out a knife,
"SAM WHY DO YOU HAVE A KNIFE?!",I exclaimed as I felt Mumbo pull me towards him.
"Taurtis if you don't shut up about Gree-on I will stab you.", Sam joked yet his face was dead serious. Taurtis looked like he was about to have a panic attack which concerned both me and Mumbo dearly. "Sam put the knife down-","Shut it Gree-on your not my dad! Ill cut your wings off and hang em on my wall!",he slightly giggled. I was extremely disturbed and uncomfortable from that point on.

-Mumbo's Pov-

I noticed Grian getting uncomfortable which to be honest was understandable, Sam kept glaring at him the whole time.
"Hey were gonna leave now if that's fine with you two.",I smile warmly, wrapping my arm around Grian's shoulder in a protective way.
"Oh yeah that's fine!", Sam smiled back making me feel slightly angry for an unknown reason...
"See you at School Grian!", Taurtis waved goodbye to us as we walked away.

"Hey Gri are you okay?", I asked as we finally got out of ear-shot.
"Yeah I'm fine just tired...",Grian replied obviously lying through his teeth.
"Grian....", I came to a stop in the middle of the street as I turned to him,a sense of worry filling me.
"Mumbo I am fine..!",he smiled weakly. I sigh and hug him,feeling his whole body tense up at the feeling.
"Gri please tell me....was it because of Sam?",I ask making him go silent. "Is it?",he slowly nodded.
"I was just uncomfortable with how he kept staring at me so much....he seemed so angry!",Grian explained as he hugged back. I pick him up and walk home.

When we got home I went to put him down but realised he was asleep.
'Oh shit what do I do?' I thought to myself slightly panicking. After a few minutes of thinking I sigh,excepting my fate and sitting down on the sofa as the smaller man curled into a ball ontop of me. I smile warmly and softly ruffle his hair,
'I must protect him no matter what...' I thought to myself as i slowly fell asleep with the parrot hybrid cuddled into my side.
