Sleep and cuddles
The characters do not act like in canon; remember, this is an AU. None of this is real. Remember that.
Anyways, hope you enjoy!
In this au, Starborne can sleep. But if they haven't been out watching the stars for about a week, there will be an urge to watch them, an urge only a few can resist. After one and a half week, without the stars, Starborne can start to get sick; the longer they are without the stars, to worse they get...
3rd person
The moon was glowing outside his window, and the stars were blinking and almost begging him to come to them, as they tend to do, Scott ignored them and continued drawing the blueprint for his next addition to Rivendell.
Scott had been busy drawing, building, signing, writing, and helping the citizens of Rivendell. He had also been thinking about making a city in the warmer parts of Rivendell, on the other side of the mountain.
He was going to call it Chromia.
The cyanette was so invested in his work he didn't even hear the flapping of an elytra.
Scene shift
Jimmy was flying over to his boyfriend's Empire, as he couldn't sleep, and the cyanette could usually help him. He also hadn't seen Scott often this past week and was getting worried.
He was craving cuddles, sweet nothings whispered into his fins and Scott.
He missed his loving, overworking, tall, cyan-haired boyfriend.
Jim had guessed that the cyanette had been overworking and not getting sleep, so he was gonna stop that.
What the blonde didn't realise, was that Scott was super invested in his work.
Time skip named Bob
Jim first seemed to realise this when his boyfriend didn't greet him at the door. Scott's ears could detect anything, and this was very unlike him.
Jimmy looked through his inventory and found the keys that Scott had given him. Jim straightened a bit when he opened the door to his boyfriend's home.
He didn't usually come over this late. He looked at his watch and stared for a few seconds. It was 01:13 am. He'd typically be here at around 11 pm.
Jim walked in as the wind picked up, and again there was an unusual feeling. He knew that Scott would've heard him by now.
He ran up the stairs and walked the rest of the way to the cyanettes door. He opened the door, and at that, Scott turned around.
"Scott! You need sleep!" Jimmy exclaimed as he ran to his boyfriend.
The bags under his eyes were big, but what worried Jimmy the most was that he looked like he hadn't been eating.
"Flower," Scott said with a low, deeper than usually, accent-filled voice.
"What are you doing here?" He asked as Jim got over to him.
"Petal, you need food. And to answer your question, I couldn't sleep, and I wanted to cuddle."
"Jim-"
"Shut up; you come with me now." The smaller male said.
Scott just turned around.
"I need to get this done, Flower. I'll come when I'm done."
Jim sighed and walked down to the kitchen, where he began making the only food he knew how to make. Waffles.
Guess who's back! It's Bob
Jimmy had just finished making the waffles and had called Scott a thousand times. He knew that his boyfriend probably had gone back to work and ignored everything around him once again.
This time when Jim opened the door, Scott didn't even flinch. Jimmy slowly made his way over to the taller, the male not moving. As the blonde had gotten up beside the cyanette, he began thinking.
'How can I get his attention? Oh.' An idea dawned on Jimmy, and he immediately began doing so.
The next second he was on the others lap. Their eyes locked as Scott sighed, knowing he had lost this one. His head fell to the other's stomach, and he laid there, his hands around the other, not wanting to move. Jim put his hand in the Scotsman's hair and brushed his fingers through the tangled cyan hair.
"Come on, Petal, the food is gonna get cold," Jimmy said after a while.
"But I wanna stay like this.." Scott said, voice still low and deep, his accent strong
"Come on, please?"
Scott removed one of his hands and took his boyfriend's hand out of his hair, Jim huffed at him doing so, and his hand returned to its original place as he stood up. He then picked up Jimmy and began walking downstairs.
Another time skip, as I am tired and should probably be asleep.
They had gone up to Scott's bedroom and plopped down into the bed before getting tangled up together. Scott's voice, still full of accent, whispered sweet nothings into Jimmy's fins, the blond giggling every few seconds.
They were together, and that was all that mattered.
Scott had fallen asleep a few minutes ago, and his grip around Jimmy loosened. Jim had yet to drop asleep, but he knew he'd be going to the realm of dreams soon. He twisted slightly to get a good view of his boyfriend. He looked better than when Jimmy first saw him this night.
He kissed his forehead, whispered goodnight, and fell asleep.
Jimmy's pov
When I woke up, the sun shone, and I had to blink a few times. I tried to stretch, but something wouldn't let me.
"Flower, stop moving. Let me cuddle youuu," Scott whispered in my fin.
"Petal," I whispered
"At least let me look at you."
"Fine," Scott said as he turned me around.
We laid there in comfortable silence, giving each other kisses every once in a while.
That continued until Scott moved so that I was sitting on his lap.
"Good morning, Flower", Scott whispered close to my fin, and as a result, I giggled.
"Good morning to you too, Petal," I said before kissing him.
With that, our day began.
Total words: 981. I have learned that I like writing 3rd person a lot more than first-person..
