|Mcyt: How Martyn Met Doc 2/2|
It had been. . . A week since that incident.
Martyn has done his best to avoid the new neighbour, while his friends were coming up with theories about the new Neighbour, Martyn knew it was only a matter of time before the neighbour might expose them or report them.
"Martyn!"
Martyn came downstairs,"Yes?", "I'm going over to meet the new Neighbour, and you're coming.", Martyn felt a chill go up his spine,"U-Uhm, do I have to go. . .?", "You've been indoors more often and I want you to get along with the new Neighbour, especially with all the trouble you and your friends cause.", Martyn was eternally dying, the Neighbour knew his face especially since he grabbed Martyn.
And no doubt he remembered his friend that threw the box at him and they fled.
They walked over to the house, Martyn could see his friends staring at him and he glared at them, blaming them from the distance and they hid behind the bush.
The door then opened.
"Hello there, my name is Mrs LittleWoods, I was visiting my son and I wanted to stop by at some point to welcome you to the neighbourhood."
The neighbour smiled,"Oh, thank you.", Mrs LittleWoods handed him a pie, he smiled and then noticed someone standing off,"And, who's this?", "Oh, Martyn.", Martyn finally forced himself to look at him, and he could immediately tell that he recognised him immediately.
"Nice to meet you Martyn."
Martyn could feel himself begin to sweat, the neighbour was smiling and turned to his mother,"Why not come in for a drink, chat for a bit.", Mrs LittleWoods smiled,"Of course, Martyn and I have time.", so he opened the door and let them in, Martyn shoot a glance of fear to his friends as he walked inside and did his best to avoid meeting the neighbour's eyes.
~
Inside the house. . . It was actually pretty normal.
Though the guy had, several different locks on the door from a regular lock, to a chain, two more locks and even some security lock that required a code.
His mother and the neighbour were talking in the living room and Martyn took the time to look around.
The house was normal, normal wallpaper, some pictures, furniture. . . Was he so busy with the house that he didn't report him and his friends breaking in.
He came to a staircase, and a door that he guessed was to the garage as the windows were tinted heavily.
Looking at the pictures, it was a picture of the guy and a lady.
Was he married?
"Martyn?"
He turned to his mom,"Y-Yeah?","I'm just going to head to the bathroom, why not have a chat with him since he does live across from you now.", Martyn wanted to protest but she was already going upstairs to the bathroom.
"No 'buts'."
"Mom-"
And she was gone upstairs.
Fk.
Martyn slowly walked into the living room, his neighbour smiling and was all too calm for his liking.
"You know. . . Usually first impressions to tend to be, odd but I've never seen someone's first thought and idea would be to break into someone's garage."
Martyn gulped.
"L-Look, I'm really sorry! I didn't mean to-Well, I mean- My friends, they kind of picked the lock and I tired to stop them but-"
To Martyn's surprise, his neighbour just chuckled and waved his hand,"You're completely fine, honestly I had no idea the lock had been picked so that encouraged me to get a new and better lock; Also, I heard everything from upstairs.", he leaned against the wall, smirking,"Your friends are quite loud.", Martyn sighed, trying to relax but he was still shaken up,"Y-Yeah, l-look we had no intentions of stealing.", he hummed, picking up his drink and took a sip.
"Well you're lucky my electricity wasn't on, you nearly touched something that should have sent a shock; It's a project."
Martyn nods, he probably shouldn't have tried to touch this guy's stuff especially that controller that had so many wires exposed.
"Yeah, that was stupid on my part. . . So, are you going to report me or tell my mom?"
He shrug,"I have been thinking about it, but all you really did is break in and trespass, you didn't steal anything however you did see a lot of my work.", Martyn paled, sweat beginning to make his shirt stick to him,"O-Oh. . . Was that, classified?", "Yes.", crap; well that's not good.
He smiled,"However I'm willing to make a deal; If your friends, and yourself, don't break in or speak about my stuff, I won't report you or tell your parents; Deal??", Martyn nods, smiling with relief that he and his friends were being let off.
"Yes; Thank you."
He smiled and his neighbour smiled too,"How about we start off, considering we got off on the wrong foot.", he held his hand out,"My name is Steffen, but some people call me 'Doc', it's kind of a nickname.", Martyn was surprised, but decided not to question it.
"I'm Martyn."
They smiled,"Your mom mentioned you play games for a living right?", "Yes. . .?", he held up his hand, heading to the kitchen and Martyn took the time to see his friends outside the window holding a page asking if the neighbour was a killer, Martyn motioned them to get down and he'd tell them later.
"Here ya go."
Steffen came back, holding a bag and when Martyn took it, peaking inside the bag it was-
"Woah!"
Steffen sat down, smiling and taking a sip of coffee,"I have a room full of games I play in my spare time, I also tend to pirate a few but I can get their Privacy Screens. You have those.", Martyn was shocked, but smiled at Steffen,"Thank you, Steffen.", he smiled, Martyn chuckled,"You're. . . Not as scary as I thought you'd be.", he chuckled.
"I get that a lot, you'd be surprised."
