This is going to be explaining what mechanics of Minecraft are still around.

1. Resources. All the things available in Minecraft (like gold, iron etc), are still around in this world.

2. Respawn. People can respawn, if they have a specific spell casted on them. Its fairly cheap to get, so it's common for someone to be able to be killed and be mostly fine. They will feel the pain, so people still act like they would die.

3. Inventory. People with the job "hunter" will receive an item that gives them access to a personal pocket dimension. (Like Georges glasses)

4. Mobs. There have already been some examples of this in the story, so I won't bother explaining.

5. Enchantments. You can still get enchanted books, or go to an experienced mage to get your things enchanted.

6. Health and hunger. Everyone has a health and hunger bar, that they can see in the right corner of their vision. 

7. Different dimensions. The nether and end still exist. The end is accessible the same way it is in the game, and the nether is this worlds equivalent of hell. You know how when people are mad they say like "go to hell" or something? The nether is basically that, so it would be more like "I hope you rot in the nether". It's still possible to go to and fro but there are only rare expeditions. 

8. The Enderdragon. Humans have a friendly relationship with the dragon, and the rest of the end is accessible.

9. Achievements. Doing things still earns achievements, but its more like quests. There are quests posted around the town. If someone completes whatever the quest is, and go the person who posted it, they can collect a reward. The reward is usually money or enchantments. 

10. Creative mode. This one is a tad complicated. People who have completed at least 1001 quests in their town will be sent to the castle of their country, and receive a gift. It is a legendary spell that gives you access to unlimited resources. The only catch is that you must use the resources to do more good in your community.

11. Elytras. They are used the same as in the game.
