Those Eyes

Jen had spent sometime meditating with bruce for a while, clearing her mind and all that, bruce suggested she get some rest so they can  test out her hulk form, and the sleep was peaceful...until it was interrupted.

"RIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!" An air horn was blasted into Jens Ear.

Jens eyes flashed open and burst into hulk form, her size breaking the legs of her bed.

"What the hell man?!" Jen yelled at her cousin who was seated by her bed.

"You still in control? No overwhelming feelings of rage?" Bruce said jotting down some notes.

"No, A Normal Amount of Rage!" Jen yelled still pissed she got woken up like this?

"So you revert back to Jen when you're Asleep." Bruce smiled.

"Was The Airhorn Really Necessary?" Jen asked finally standing up.

"For Comedy Absolutely" bruce replied with  a smirk.

Soon Jens Training Had Begun,   Bruce wanted to get a measure of what her form could do as well as dropping some advice along the way, he tested her ability to leap, her equilibrium and now he was testing her strength.

"So am i only this strong if I'm a hulk?" Jen asked as she held a large boulder with one hand over her head.

"Yes, the radiation is what's giving the strength, when you revert it lies dormant." Bruce explained. " However if you were to work out as Jen then it is reasonable to assume your hulk form could be stronger."

"Like i need to be any stronger." Jen said with a smile as she stacked another boulder onto the one she was holding, hardly feeling the extra.

Bruce then looked at her curiously. "It's really still surprising to me,  you really have no problem with this?"

"Whats could really be  problem cuz?" Jen said as she dropped the boulders. "Gamma is a girls best friend~" jen sang happily as she performed a twirl and a ground and pound, shaking the ground they were on a bit.

Bruce shook his head  but was amused nonetheless, he was glad this process was going smoothly. " whatever you say jen, but please let's not break the island."

"Hmhm." Jen giggled "So, we've done s bunch of theses exercises and stuff but is there anything cool about being a hulk, like a special super power or something?" Jen wondered curiously.

"Well..."bruce began to think then remembered. " Well  there is an upside, our bodies metabolize alcohol at an incredibly fast rate, which means we can drink so much and not get drunk, all buzz and no barf." Bruce said with a smirk.

Jen matched his smirk. " now we're talking."

We cut jen and Bruce, at his bar, downing several  drinks together,  many of which would  cause liver failure if they were drank by ordinary people, Jen and bruce thankfully weren't ordinary.

"So you really built this bar by hand?" Jen said as she looked over the wooden bar they were currently seated at.

Bruce nodded with a smile "yeah, me and tony." Bruce then shook his head with a chuckle. "Mostly me, tony just sat around and drank, complaining about life."

" you knew tony stark and the billionaire playboy  he loved to be on camera,  what was he like beyond that?" Jen asked curiously.

Bruce smiled " tony, despite all all his jokes and casual nature, he was brilliant but at the same time , he was human." Bruce said as he eyed his bottle. " he was put through the ringer, losing his parents was hard, and the losses we took when thanos was around was even harder, he had his demons like anybody else, but I think the one thing many don't give him enough credit for despite saving everybody was that he truly changed, he strove to be better than just some guy in a tower with too much brains and money on had... do you want to know what Tony stark was worried about the most?" Bruce said looking at Jen.

"What?" Jen genuinely wishing to know.

"His wife and kid" Bruce said with a smile. " tony stark, a father, heh, it almost sounds crazy.." Bruce then looked at his and Tony's carved initials with a somber look. " I wish he could have continued to be with pepper... and  watch little Morgan grow up.."

Jen looked at Bruce sympathetically, gently placing a hand on his shoulder, she then gently picked up a glass and lifted up for a toast. " to tony." She said with a light smile, giving a toast.

Bruce managed to smile and brought his glass up. " to tony."

"Clink!"

Another Day had passed, Jen had to deal with a massive hangover to which she quickly had to transform and deal with, oh she loved this form, however she was starting to realize she needed to head back to work soon, she couldn't stay on this island  forever, and here she was currently meditating with Bruce, well he was anyway

"Feel the waves breaking, Feel the breaths, no judgement." Bruce said as he inhaled, his eyes close in a meditating position in front of Jen.

Jen just looked on. " so...when do you think I can leave?"  She asked.

"Focus Jen." Bruce said simply

"Bruce I do have to get back to California." Jen said not wanting to put this off.

" I know I've been pushing you a lot, but this is all gonna prepare you to be a hero." Bruce said maintaining his postion.

Jen raised her eyebrow in confusion. "Whoa whoa Bruce, I agreed to get taught how to be a hulk, not be a hero."

Bruce finally quit the meditation and opened his eyes. "What else are you going to do as a hulk?"

"Return to my job, use my law degree too help people the best way I know how. ." Jen said simply, not seeing why she would need to stay here Anglo her.

" it's not one or the other Jen, I am trying to show you that we can live between what we want and what is ." Bruce explained. " but we can't pretend like we aren't to of the few people on earth that can actually protect her, which is why we have to make sure of your ability to tolerate the stress, and regulate your emotions, especially your anger." Bruce finished.

"Bruce, I can control my anger, or maybe it's better to say I hardly get angry." Jen said and began to elaborate. " ever since I was in high school I've heard all kinds of things, I've been shunned for being  introverted, I've been made fun off because while a bunch of people were going to parties I was studying for midterms, I've had teachers who consistently advised me to not become a lawyer despite my hard work." Jen listed off getting frustrated as she went on. "So much bullshit and I have managed to just keep it in and focused on what I needed to do,  you may have dealt with an entirely different ball game then me but I'm preety sure I can handle being  a diet version of green." she said finally.

Bruce saw her frustration and took note that she wasn't loosing control despite being green.

Jen then stood up. " just email the binder and il mix it into my routine, " Jen patted  Bruce on the back she walked away . " love you Bruce but I gotta go."

" Jen , wait Jen." Bruce said as he got up

Jen had grabbed a duffle bag  with her closed and went into the parking lot of Bruce's wooden home. "Il take the jeep back to LA, il fill it back up with gas and you can pick it up at my place.

"Jen stop, just think this through." Bruce urged as he watched her throw her bag into the vehicle.

"There's nothing to think about Bruce, I know the meditation, the exercises , I  know my strength, I can switch back and forth and best of all I'm conscious when I turn, anything else is just fluff at this point." Jen said she got ready to enter the vehicle.

" look Jen, you've been doing great,  I know you didn't ask for this but like or not you're a superhero, and who's gonna protect the world if it isn't people like us." Bruce said trying to convince her.

" first off, you got that straight out of a comic book." Jen said unamused and bruce couldn't exactly deny it. " second of all, I'm not a hero, I'm not you, this power may feel amazing but that is not me, that isn't who i am, besides the life is not really that appealing from what I've seen."

" what do you mean?" Bruce asked confused.

Jen gave him a surprised look wondering if he was serious. " Bruce, you wound up wandering the world alone, you lost friends and haven't been in contact with your family for years, not to mention You have trauma nobody should have to bear." Jen said with a sad look. " I'm sorry  but no." She said as she got into the jeep, her size straining the car so she decided to shrink back to Jen.

"Jen it's just the price you have to pay for keeping the world safe." Bruce said trying to make her reconsider.

"Im helping in the best way I know how, there is nothing wrong with that." Jen said as she readjusted her seat.

"Look , ive spent a life time running from this aspect of myself but just because you're having an easier time managing doesn't remove the danger, trust me." Bruce said, feeling she could spend a little more time here before leaving.

Jen just shook her head. "Im leaving bruce." Bruce then got in front of the car and jen just groaned. " what are you doing now?"

"Im asking you to reconsider." Bruce said black her path.

"I've considered it and i am still leaving." Jen said as she put the keys in the ignition.

"Jen." Bruce said again then stopped the car when jen began to move. "Im serious."

"You aren't the only one!" Jen yelled, this was getting frustrating now.

"Theres casual and then theres too casual, you really think you canjust take off now?!" Bruce said frustrated now.

"YES!" Jen said as he hit the accelerator.

"Ugh!" Bruce grunted caught by surprise as he lost his balance and fell on the hood of the vehicle, jen kept driving them hit a sharp turn to shake him off, unintentionally sending him into a stack of boulders that fell onto him.

Jen got scared and hit the brakes slowing to a halt. "Shit, Bruce!" Jen yelled as she stepped out of the car, worried she hurt her cousin.

Bruce shrugged off the boulders and stood up, patting the dust off of his shirt. " dick move." Bruce said unamused as he wiped down dust on his lenses.

Jen felt embarrassed now. " I didn't mean to." She said apologetically.

"Sigh...can't let you leave like this jen." Bruce seriously. "But if you're that dead set on it, il let you go, after you take me on in a fight." Bruce said with his hands on his hips.

Jen began to glare. "Are you serious?" She seriously had to fight him to go.

"call it your final test." Bruce said not taking no for an answer, this was also a way to test how dangerous she was.

Jen was now beyond irritated. "Alright fine!"

Bruce saw jen quickly shift back into hulk form, and nail him right in the face.

"Ugh.." bruce said wiggling his jaw, he felt that one.

"Let's Dance!" Jen said with a smirk as she cracked her knuckles.

Jen tried to take another swing but bruce grabbed by the head and began pushing her back.

"Heheh."bruce chuckled as he watch jen take wild swings that we're hitting nothing but air.

Jen knocked his his hand out of the way and stomped on bruces foot.

"Agh!" Bruce grunted, jen then took the opportunity to grab him by the arm throw him, sending him hurdling through the air.

"OOF!" Bruce said as he finally landed. " Not bad." Bruce groaned then he saw jen flying towards him with the intention of stomping on him. "Oh shit." Bruce said as he rolled away, jens attack shaking causing a minor shockwave, making the ground shake.

Jen tried to pick him up by the leg but was promptly kicked away.

"For the record, I didn't want to do this." Bruce warned her.

Jen looked at him in confusion, bruce took a deep breath and stretched out his arms.

"HAAH!"bruce roared as he unleashed a thunder clap.

"AH!!" Jen Grunted as the impact winded her and sent her flying, the attack rippling through the treeshes and bushes.

Jen landed roughly on the ground. "Ugh..." jen groaned as it her ears rung and regained her breath.

"Okay i wanted to do it a little." Bruce said with a smile. " look just give it a rest, no shame in defeat!" Bruce yelled, advising her to stay down.

"Only Losers say that!" Jen yelled fiercely as she stood back up."

"Lunkhead!" Bruce yelled, a familiar phrase from their childhood squabbles.

"Dummy!" Jen yelled back, a familiar phrase of her own, she then thought of something. "If he can do that move, it's only natural i can do it too!" Jen thought as she outstretched her arms the same way he did.

"Clap" then had little success in the attack.

Bruce couldn't help but chuckle. "Oh that was cute."

"Cmon.." Jen growled repeating the motion.

"Clap!" This time jen was able to produce a shockwave though still not quite enough.

Bruce was suprised, the sound of clap actually rung his ears a bit. "Uh oh."

"CMON!" Jen said reeling her arms back one more time.

"Wait hang on!" Bruce yelled taking a step back.

"RAH" Jen shouted out.

"CLAP!!!!" Jen unleashed a thunderclap, this time sending Bruce flying.

Right back into the boulders he had crashed into earlier

"Cmon.." bruce groaned from underneath the rubble.

"Score for Jennifer Walters!" Jen celebrates.

Jen was walking back to the car with a spring in her step, when suddenly she heard something sprinting towards her, before she could react however, bruce had already knocked her through the air.

Jen quickly latched on to a palm tree , halting her momentum and reeling it back as she was near the ground and letting go, which caused the tree to flick a bunch of coconuts at bruce.

"Thud,Thud,Thud,Thud" each coconut had landed directly on Bruce's head, now he was more annoyed than anything else.

"Raaaah!!" Bruce charged once again hitting jen again though this time she was able to brace her self, getting sent through the air and through a couple trees but recovering quickly upon landing.

She looked around the area and immediately got the idea to throw more stuff at him.

Jen first threw a surfboard.

"Can you stop.." bruce said as he blocked the board.

She then threw an empty bird cage.

"Throwing..." Bruce said as the cage landed on his head and he ripped it off.

She picked up yet another board.

"Stuff at me!" Bruce yelled batting the board away harshly, tired of all the objects.

........

"THUD"

A coconut bounced of Bruces Head.

Bruce glared at Jen who just smirked.

"RAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" Bruce roared as he charged once again.

"Oh SHIT!" Jen yelled as she braced her self and got tackled.

They began rolling and tussling through the forest, knocking down trees in their wake, unfortunately they built up alot of momentum, rolling off a cliff, right on to Bruces wooden bar.

The poor bar didn't stand a chance as it crumpled to the ground.

"My Baaaaaar!" Bruce groaned as he flopped to ground, hitting the ground in frustration.

"Oops." Jen groaned out, it was safe to say the scuffle was over.

"You're helping me fix it!" Bruce yelled, pointing at jen.

"Yeah yeah..ugh." Jen groaned out again falling limp to the ground, she needed a breather first.

Later.

Jen was currently holding up a pole that that was used to make a roof of the bar while bruce tied it together.

"Well..." bruce began as stopped tying for a moment. " you held your own and didn't lose yourself, so if you try and settle back into your life, il respect it." Bruce said no longer wishing to keep her from leaving.

Jen smiled in appreciation. "Thanks Cuz"

Jen then looked towards the audience. "I Win." Jen said with a smirk.

Bruce looked at her with a raised eyebrow, though Jen played it off as though she was looking at the beach, bruce got back to what he was doing and sent the audience a wink.

They had soon rebuilt the bar and were now enjoying a bag of Cheetos.

"So what do i do about the clothes situation?" Jen asked curiously as she was holing a cheeto with chopsticks and carving her initials with a screwdriver on the bar with her other hand.

"Honestly, your only options are getting clothes two or three times your size, or getting some stuff thats sturdy enough not to rip all the way through." Bruce advised as he thought about the times he hulked out and his pants were the only thing that could withstand the muscle growth.

"Well that's gonna put a dent in my wallet." Jen groaned as she thought about how much she might be wasting on clothes from now on.

"With your simple fashion sense? i doubt it." Bruce joked.

Jen smirked. "Screw you." She said as she playfully threw a cheetoh at him.

"Hmm, i could step my game up with this hulk form though." Jen thought with a smile, as she could really turn some heads with her figure now but she will cross that bridge when she gets to it.

Jen was now walking back to the jeep in regular form, with bruce with her to see her off.

"Remember, yoga and meditation if you're ever feeling stressed." Bruce advised.

Jen nodded with a smile. " i know." She said lightheartedly.

"Call me anytime if you need anything." Bruce said as he dropped the duffle bag in her car.

"I will." Jen said then held her arms open with a smile. "Bring it in."

"Hehe." Bruce chuckled and gave her a hug, minding his strength to avoid crushing her, they detached from the hug and jen hopped in the car.

"Hey."bruce said as he layed his hand on the door. " im serious, door never closes." Bruce said, wanting her know he was there for her.

Jen gave a bright smile and gently punched him in the arm. " the same goes for you." Jen said seriously, bruce wasn't alone, she wanted him to know that.

Bruce smiled warmly, appreciating her words.

"Better be there at the next family dinner or il drag you there ." Jen warned bruce, half joking and half serious.

"Hehe, see ya fuzzball." Bruce bidding her farewell, as she drove off , Jen giving him another wave goodbye as she did.

Jen began addressing the audience again. "That was fun, a better pill to swallow without a certain scene right?" jen joked. " i will say though, I'm really excited to give this form a whirl...but i better tell my family about this, better to rip off that band aid so they don't get blindsided later, oh i better tell Nikki too, can't keep my girl out of the loop and speaking of nikkie... i feel like im forgetting something important" jen said with a confused face, she then checked her phone and her eyes widened

It Was Saturday.

And she had a lot of unread Messages.

"SHIT!" Jen yelled as she had completely forgotten she agreed to go out with Nikki as their best friend Trish was free, they must be so worried. " I knew it, well i guess i can kill two birds with one stone today." Jen then turned to the audience again with a smile. " I'm gonna be driving for a while so why don't you guys check out that cute ninja in the meantime."  Jen said as she accelerated.

Y/N Pov.

Y/n was back at his apartment, currently using his time the best way he knew how, training.

He may have not officially been Lin-Kuei anymore, but his routine had been so engrained him to the point that he felt off if he didn't follow it, he knew Tomas felt the same way as whenever they did some light sparring he could tell was still as good as ever.

The only difficulty he had with training was using his ice abilities, it is  difficult to practice when your powers give off a strong glow that can be visible even threw curtains and he has no basement to remedy the situation, however he has found ways to bypass by keeping  his weapon creation small, with stuff such as knives, kunai and shurikens and he has several replica weapons on hand that he uses to keep his skills sharp.

Y/n was currently  utilizing a dummy practicing, a common yet effective tool for training, doing a variety of close in strikes.

Y/n began to speed up, expertly striking the dummy  as though it was second nature to him.

Y/n maintained the speed, beginning to work up a nice sweat, however before he could continue someone had dropped by his place.

"Im Here!" Tomas said as he came in with a few bags  take out.

Y/n slowed to a halt as, and looked over to his brother. "Tomas what have i told you." Y/n said unamused.

"I know i know, knock before i come in." Tomas said apologetically. "But in my defense you're the one that said just drop in." Tomas fired back as he placed the bags on the kitchen counter.

Y/n nodded, he wasn't wrong he texted him that. "Fair." Y/n said as he used a small towel to wipe down his face. " what did you get?

"Tacos." Tomas said opening the up his box.

"I swear you're keeping those trucks in business." Y/n said opening his box up, tacos must've been one of   tomas's favorite food items now.

"Can't blame me they are so good." Tomas said as he took a bite from one of his tacos and groaned from how good they were.

Y/n shook his head with a smile as he squeezed a lemon on one of his.

"So...?" Tomas asked, as though be was expecting something.

Y/n raised his eyebrow in confusion. "So What?"

"Are you going out with me today?" Tomas asked expectantly. " It's Saturday , you can't keep me waiting any longer."

"still on that huh?" Y/n asked amused as he took a bite of his taco, savoring the taste.

"Yes" Tomas answered as though it was obvious he would be.

Y/n sighed, he was a homebody but he supposed he couldn't stay cooper up forever, besides this was the least he could for Tomas.

"Alright, il go." Y/n said with a smile.

"Yes!" Tomas cheered as he downed one of his tacos.

"Where are we even going?" Y/n asked curiously.

"Bar, 2 blocks over." Tomas responded , covering his mouth as he swallowed his food. " Figured it would be a good way to ease you into public spaces."

Y/n nodded, bars could be crowded from what he has seen but on a normal day it wasn't too crazy.

"It would also be an opportunity to try different alcohol." Tomas said.

Y/n couldn't help but chuckle. " you barely liked baijiu"

"Well can't judge it all after only trying one right?" Tomas said sheepishly.

"Hehe, no i suppose not, just don't force yourself to drink it if you don't like any of it." Y/n advised as he bit another taco.

Tomas nodded. " got it." Tomas then downed another taco. " you should really get some ingredients to make your own tacos."

Y/n smiled as he knew what Tomas was referring to, cooking is a hobby he picked up in LA, he thought it would be useful whenever they were short on money and he could throw some ingredients together to make meals and Tomas certainly enjoyed his cooking, though the smoke certainly didn't like the process it took to make it so he leaves it to y/n.

"Il keep it in mind." Y/n said he continued eating.

Jennifer Walters POV.

Jen was currently driving back to her apartment, she had made a stop to her parents to explain the whole hulk situation, it went better than she expected honestly,  her father was concerned but was supportive as always, her mother thought she was gonna be a super hero now.

Now though Jen had two more people to tell, Nikki and Trish, she texted them to meet her at her apartment using a spare key she gifted them.

Jen quickly got to her door and got inside locking it.

"Jen!"

Jen heard the familiar voice of nikki  who ran to her and hugged her tight.

"We've been texting and calling nonstop!" Nikki yelled hugging her friend tightly.

"I know i.." jen started then saw a familiar blond with a relieved expression. "Trish" jen said outstretching an arm so she could join the hug.

Trish smiled and now they were locked in a group chat.

"Why haven't you been answering your phone?" Trish asked concern clear in her voice. " we tried talking to your parents but all they could really tell us is that you were in..."  Trish trailed off looking at the i heart mexico shirt she had on. "Mexico" trish finished as she looked at the shirt.

" i know i know." Jen said as they detached from the hug. "A Lot has happened, i don't even know where to start" Jen said as she plopped onto her couch.

"How about from the beginning?" Trish suggested  as she took a seat on her  left side.

"Yes we still got a time before we had out to the bar spill, Spill!" Nikki said taking a seat excitedly on her right.

Jen nodded and soon began to break down everything for them, and boy was it a roller coaster of emotions, hearing that jen nearly died tugged at their hearts and hearing about bow she went on a rampage confusef them, she didn't get too detailed but she simply said her cousin managed to bring her back to her senses and she went on her way home.

"Hold the phone...are you are saying  you're a hulk?" Nikki asked with widened eyes.

"A more....controlled version i guess yeah." Jen confirmed.

Trish had a hard  time believing it. " yeah..Jen I'm happy you're ok but...you sure you didn't just..imagine it?" Trish said as Jen said she passed out do this could have just been all in her head.

Jen got up and removed the hoodie she had on, and soon she began to expand and turn green.

Nikki and Trish could only stare in shock and awe as a jen tall and strong like an amazon, green hair eyes and lips now stood before them.

"Believe me now?" Jen asked with a smirk and her hands on her hips.

"Oh My God" Trish said still in shock.

"Daaaaam!" Nikki said as she stood up went up to Jen, "The Hair , The Lips." Nikki then eyes her lower half. "That Ass!"

Regular Jen would have felt her face flush at the comment but she now took it in stride and posed. "The Form has its benefits doesn't it.?" Jen joked with a bright smile

Trish's eyes widened, the jen she knows would have been embarrassed about a comment like that.

Trish stood up as well. " this is ...wow." Trish said unsure how to properly described what she is seeing. "How...how does it feel?"

"About the same as before just...stronger." Jen said  shrugging.

"And looking impeccable, look at her thighs trish!" Nikki said excitedly.

"Those are some great thighs." Trish said impressed but got back on topic. " but jen you're  a hulk now, this doesn't bother you at all?"

"It was scary at first but now? I can't see any issue." Jen said with a smile. "It just feels...natural, i feel like a new person ."

"Isn't this just gonna cause trouble though? I mean being associated with the hulk?" Trish asked concerned.

"Don't think she's gonna be in much trouble with muscle as solid as these." Nikki joked as she patted Jens rock hard abs.

"Are you as strong as the hulk?" Trish asked.

"Well i don't think im as strong but." Jen said as walked to her couch and lifted it with one hand. "Not too far away." Jen said as she gently placed the sofa back down.

"Well jen you caught some bullets and came out it better than ever, talk about badass." Nikki said proudly before checking her watch." Though i think it's time we get going  so how about we help you throw on some  better threads." Nikki advises as Jens currently clothing was quite dusty.

"Ah right, well back to plain jen." Jen said as she began to shrink.

"Plain jen?" Trish asked confused.

"Well yeah i mean..cmon." Jen said gesturing to herself unenthusiastically.

Trish couldn't help but be saddened by this, she knew jen was a reserved girl but did jen really think so little of herself?

"Cmon guys, gotta pick something out now, no time to waste!" Nikki yelled from Jen's bedroom.

Jen jogged to her room, Trish held a worried look but followed soon after.

Later.  Legal Ease, Bar & Grill

The three women had finally arrived.

"So girl  does this mean you're gonna do like literal crime fighting now?" Nikki asked in a hushed tone  as they entered the bar.

"No, i may have strength now but it wouldn't be right for me to go the vigilante route, it is good for  an emergency though." Jen said just as quietly now dressed in a white long sleeve shirt and blouse.

"Let's wait until we are seated to talk about this girls" Trish whispered , it wasn't smart to talk about this at a bar where people could overhear them if they weren't careful.

Soon they found a good place in the back where they could speak  a bit more privately.

When Trish sat down she couldn't help but rub her arms a bit. " a little chillier then usual." She said as it was a bit colder than usual.

"Yeah but this still beats the blistering heat." Jen said as this was still better than the powerful Los Angeles son.

"Seriously though, you got super powers now, don't you wanna be a super hero? You would kill it" nikki said encouragingly as she took her seat.

Jen smiled at her friends enthusiasm. "Thanks but it's just never been a dream of mine i guess, im helping people anyway, the best way i know how, by the book." Jen said, she worked to be a lawyer she never thought about being anything else.

"And admittedly anything that goes down in LA wouldn't really require a hulked out Jen, whenever superhumans pop up to cause trouble the authorities usually get a handle on it, now if we lived in New York however that would be a much different story." Trish joked, having lived in new york for a while.

"Oh cmon i know aliens invaded but it can't be that crazy" Nikki said looking at trish.

"Tell that to the guy that swings webs and crawls walls around the place casually." Trish said referring to a web based hero.

"Touche." Nikki said, that is pretty crazy. " Im gonna get drinks, what you guys want?.

"Margarita please." Jen said giving her choice.

"Negroni for me." Trish said.

"Coming right up." Nikki said with a smile as she got up walked to the bar.

"The Super stuff is tame all things considered but crime is still a problem" Jen said  then gained a serious look as she rubbed her side, she could still feel those bullets hitting her. " Nick Trask being the most famous example.." Jen said bitterly.

Trish and Nikki were now worried for her.

"I actually wanted to talk to you about that." Trish said , worried for her friend. "isn't time to just give the case to somebody else?" Trish asked wishing for her friend to put this case aside.

Jen shook her head. " Trish I can't "

"Jen, you're on his radar, you got lucky a few days ago but what about the day of the trial?" Trish expressed.

"I get that but now, i have a way to defend myself if it comes down to it." Jen said reminding Trish what she could do now. "Besides, if i back out just because the opposite party tried to intimidate me or take me out, nothing would ever get done, if its not me then it would just be someone else."

Trish couldn't help but sigh sadly. " i really wish you weren't right...." Trish said, very worried for her friend's safety.

Jen reached over to grab her friend's hands. " I wish I wasn't either but this has to he done, I've only felt confident doing one thing, and thats being a lawyer." Jen said with prideful smile.

Trish managed a smile and nodded, she watched some of her cases, lawyer Jen is her own beast.

"Crash!"

Trish and Jen turned towards the sound and found Nikki looking at a dropped beer glass.

"Aw cmon!" Nikki groaned.

A man with silver hair was in front of Nikki.

"Im so sorry I didn't see you!" The man apologized. " please let me pay for it." The man then turned towards the bartender. " another beer please pedro?" the young man asked politely.

Pedro just smiled. " you got it."

The man then surprisingly bowed a bit to nikki. " again im sorry."

The guy seemed so polite that she didn't feel mad at him anymore, not to mention he was cute. " well its fine i guess, but still not enough." Nikki said firmly.

The man looked surprised. "Huh?

Nikki held the two drinks to him. "Help carry these to my table and all is forgiven.

The man looked suprised by the ask but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. "Uh..okay"

Pedro placed the near them. " here you go"

"Thank you pedro." The man said the placed some money on counter bar for him to tak, he then perfectly held all drinks in his hands.

Nikki smiled. " this way." Motioning for him to follow.

The man did so with little difficulty.

"Im back!" Nikkie said as she arrived back at the table.

Trish smiled amused. " we see, did you have to make the poor guy carry the drinks?"

The man however didn't take it to heart. " it's fine, its the least i could do, um who's is who's?" The man said wishing to hand them their drinks.

"Beer for me, thank you." Nikki said gently taking the beer cup out of his hands.

"Negroni for me , thanks." Trish said as the man handed her the drink.

" and the margarita for you." The man said with a light smile giving the last drink to jen.

"Thanks" jen said shyly, as she took the drink and looked down.

"Il be out of your hair now." The man said politely not wishing to bother them with his presence any longer.

"Well hold on." Nikki said stopping him from walking away. " can't we get your name?" Nikki asked with a smile.

Trish almost rolled her eyes playfully, of course.

Jen hid a small smile, classic nikki.

"O-oh, Im Tomas, Tomas Vbrada." Tomas said with a polite smile.

"Well im Nikki Ramos." Nikki said giving him an almost flirty smile " these are my friends trish and jennifer.

"Nice to meet you." Trish said matching his polite smile.

"Yeah." Jen said feeling a bit more at ease as the guy seemed really nice.

"It's nice to meet all of you." Tomas said inclining his head a bit.

"Haven't seen you at the bar before, come here often?" Nikki asked leaning her hand on her chin.

"When i can, im actually here on a day off from work." Tomas answered simply.

"Oh?" Nikki said interested, that means here's not here alone. "Here with anybody?"

"Just with my brother." Tomas said looking to where he was seated.

Jen followed his line of sight as did the other girls.

Jen saw a man who appeared to be of asian descent with his hands clasped together at the bar as though in deep thought , he wore a long sleeve white shirt, he clearly worked out as he filled it quite nicely, he had a full head of black hair and facial hair.

As though he felt he was being looked at he opened his eyes and turned in their direction.

Jen could tell the guy was handsome but when she saw his eyes shift to her, she didn't know why but despite being a feet away she could tell, there was something about them, something fierce, focused.

Jen couldn't suppress the blush spread over her cheeks.
