Emil kept staring for a moment before taking a seat in the chair inside his cell. " well....first off, I'm happy you were willing to come." Emil spoke gratefully.

Jen eyed the man a bit , she sure wasn't happy to come herself but she had to keep it professional. " Mr blonsky, I was expecting...."

"The abomination I know, you won't be seeing much of him about." Emil responded.

Jen looked at him in confusion. " are you saying you can't turn into the abomination anymore or you won't?"

"It means I'm choosing not to, I am simply emil these days." Emil expressed simply. " not much of a reason two with the uh..lack of space." Emil said motioning around his cell. "..so....why don't we address the elephant in the room."

Jen narrowed her eyes a bit at emil, just wondering what he had to say for himself.

"Your cousin...the hulk." Emil began.

Jen eyes glowed briefly . " My cousin Bruce." She spoke firmly feeling anger build inside her

"Semantics , he is the hulk..... and I tried to kill him..... I would like to apologize." Emil spoke, regret a bit evident in his tone. " it wasn't personal.... I was under direct orders from your government." Emil spoke, reminding Jen he was on loan to the U.S government when he was hunting the hulk

"Yes but need I remind, you also went on a rampage in Harlem, was that one of your orders too?" Jen questioned , wondering if emil truly thought his attack on Bruce was the only issue.

"I didn't want to hurt anybody." Emil spoke firmly, rubbing his face. " i wasn't in my right mind... when I was pumped with that serum my mind had went completely haywire." Emil explained.

Now that, that was a thread she hadn't considered. " you believe the serum the government gave you caused your subsequent actions?" Jen asked in interest.

Emil sighed. "I assumed it would just give me the power to fight toe to toe with the hulk.... But with strength came rage, frustration ... at moment it felt like all that mattered was completing the mission.....when I came back to my senses and I was showed the destruction...I." Emil paused collecting himself before continuing. " .....I didn't recognize myself anymore."

Jen watched him silently allowing him to continue.

" but let me push all of that aside for a moment..... I was ordered to take out a threat, and good soldiers follow orders , i believed that taking the serum, despite being warned of its instability was ultimately the best course of action to lives being saved...." Emil sat back and looked up at his cell. " but as you know I lost... and now I am a prisoner for doing what I was told.. and bruce banner, who I believed to be a monster at the time is hailed as one of the worlds greatest heroes....how is that fair Ms.Walters ?" Emil questioned, pain visible through his eyes.

Jennifer hated to admit it but if this was truly the case, the matter wasn't as black and white as she thought it was. " I..see where you are coming from, but I am not the one you need to convince, the parole board are the ones who have to see if you truly ready to be released."

" well I won't sit here and give you words, simply look through my record at this prison, I'm sure you will see my behavior reflects that of a man who just...wants to start a new chapter of his life." Emil spoke honestly. ".... Would you be willing to help me Ms. Walters?"

Jen had questions swirling through her head. Is Emil worthy of redemption? Is he even speaking the truth? Was keeping her job worth the release of this man? And most importantly, what would Bruce think?

Jen sighed and looked at emil. " il think about it."

Emil nodded, knowing that he was asking for a lot here.

Later, Jennifer's home.

"Miss Walters. Yes, this is Holden Holliway. I expect to hear your decision by the end of today." Holdens voice mail played on Jen's phone.

Jen sighed as she sat on her couch and grabbed her phone. " it now or never" Jen spoke to the audience before dialing Bruce's number, it rang three times and Bruce answered.

"Hey fuzzball, whats up, how's the new job?" Bruce answered.

"Hey Bruce, sorry if your busy, jobs Great, that's actually why I'm calling you." Jen greeted, concern evident in her tone.

" everything okay?" Bruce asked, sensing her worry.

" well, let's just say I'm at risk of losing said job if I don't take on someone as a client.." Jen steeled herself. " that someone being emil blonsky.."

"Oh.." Bruce sounded in surprise.

" I just.. didn't want to consider doing anything without speaking to you first." Jen expressed leaning back on her couch.

"Well, what do you want to do?" Bruce asked.

Jen sighed. " well... i spoke to him , and I can see that Emil's imprisonment may have not been the most "reasonable" punishment given factors like his obligation as a soldier and as well as an unstable super soldier serum, and maybe by this point he's more than repaid his debt to society..." Jen spoke choosing the reworked carefully. " I guess I do want to believe he's a changed man..."

"Then you should take the job Jen." Bruce spoke simply.

"W-wait what?" Jen spoke in shock sitting up. " a-are you serious?"

"Yes Jen, if you feel it's right then go for it ." Bruce chuckled,

"But... Bruce this is emil we are talking about.." Jen sighed. " he tried to kill you...killed those people.....is releasing really the right thing to do?....does he even deserve a second chance?" Jen questioned.

" a second chance....you know that thought as bounced around in head in my life a lot, as I'm sure it has the rest of the avengers." Bruce spoke. " we put away a lot of bad people, some we felt never deserved to see the light of day again.... But I think thats one of the things about being good... to have the belief that anyone and everyone can turn things around if we give them that chance...need I remind you ant man is an-ex convict and we all know the mess that was tony stark for a good chunk of his life.." Bruce joked.

Jen smiled, he wasn't wrong there.

"And besides.. the fight I had with blonsky is a distant memory ... he even sent me a note a while back , apologizing, it's not much but the fact he took the time to write it lets me know there's no grudge to be had between us." Bruce said, leaning back in his chair.

Jen smiled, feeling as though a weight was lifted off her shoulders. " so you're really okay with it."

" you have my blessing Jen, it's a big step your gonna take cuz, A public hero and a lawyer, talk about a double whammy.....she-hulk huh?" Bruce joked.

Jen started chuckling and covered her face with her hand. " look it was either that or Shulk"

"Hahaha! Well i like the ring to it , she-hulk, attorney at law, you should trademark that." Bruce suggested.

"I did actually, not even kidding." Jen spoke mirthfully.

"Hahah, well you're the best lawyer for a reason cuz." Bruce spoke proudly. " hey, you got this jen, just be careful as always alright, and remember-"

"Your a phone call away, il be careful." Jen smiles. " hey are you coming to LA anytime soon?"

"Well i got some things i got to take care of with new avengers members but when my schedule is cleared il let you know." Bruce explained.

"Sounds good, il catch you later bruce." Jen bid farewell.

" later fuzzball." Bruce responded.

Jen hung up, with that call handled, it was time to handle the next, she dialed holden and waited.

"Hello." Holden greeted.

"Mr. Holliway, after speaking to emil and some careful deliberation, ive decided to take Emil's case." Jen said with a smile.

"Thats good to hear ms.walters, and do you feel you can prepare a case for him?" Holden asked.

"Yes, i can guarantee that my best work will be given, i already got a strategy, consider that case won." Jen spoke confidently as she looked at her notes.

"Music to my ears, before i let you go i would advise you look at the news right now, so you're not left in the dark." Holden informed.

Jen raised her eyebrows in confusion and grabbed her remote. "Oh uh ok."

"Have a good evening miss walters." Holden said.

"Likewise sir." Jen responded before hanging up, turning on the tv and going to the news channel.

"So far there have been no statements made by Emil Blonsky's attorney, after shocking footage leaked showing the abomination participating in what appears to be an underground fight club, after having somehow escaped from prison." The reporter spoke as footage of abomination was being displayed next to her.

"Well.....shit." Jen said simply. " why don't you guys see what Ice man is doing while i figure this mess out." Jen spoke to the audience, while rubbing her head in fustration.

Pov. Y/n. The Jade Palace.

"Attorney, Jennifer Walters, of law firm GLK&H has been tapped to represent emil blonsky, also known as the abomination, in his upcoming parole hearing, the news stirred up much controversy-

Y/n turned off the tv in the break room and turned over to Tomas. " Shes been all over the news recently."

"Yeah, Nikki's been texting me about the whole thing." Tomas spoke eying his phone. " jens just doing her job, I can't imagine the pressure shes dealing with."

"I can understand the publics lack of enthusiasm,  hulk showed everyone he wasn't the monster they claimed he was time and time again, the same can't be said for emil."  Y/n spoke as he took a seat.

"How do you feel about jen defending him? Have you spoken to her?" Tomas asked wishing to gauge his brother's thoughts on the matter.

"As you said this is her job, i have to trust her judgment." Y/n then looks at his phone. "As for speaking to her, I've held off on it, thought it best to give her some space until the case is over." Y/n expressed.

"What? No no, completely wrong." Tomas scolded. " she needs support, if she wanted space she would have told you, did she?"

"Well no but i assume-

" No, don't assume." Tomas cut off waving a hand. " talk to her then find out." Tomas pointed at y/ns phone.

Y/n sighed, then began testing her.

Y/n smiled soon pocketed his phone and looked to Tomas who was Tomas smiling at him.

"What?" Y/n questioned.

"I didn't say anything." Tomas chuckled lifting his hands. "But i told ya so."he said, taking pride in the fact he was right.

Y/n just chuckled and shook his head, he then looked around sensing if anybody was nearby, the coast was clear for now. " back on the subject.. the abomination was fighting a sorcerer.." y/n spoke referring to the video footage they saw.

Tomas nodded " yeah , from kamar-taj going by the clothing." Tomas said as he zoomed in on an image, they knew of the sorceress through books and sightings, they made care not to be caught by them as if anyone was capable of finding their location it was them.

"Hm....Why would a sorcerer be fighting the abomination?...." Y/n questioned in concern.

"articles say Emil is still in prison, if he pulled Emil out , he must've put him back." Tomas spoke as it it seemed like letting emil on the loose clearly wasn't the idea.

"Well...whatever happens we have to stay vigilant, things seem to get crazier by day in L.A." y/n spoke with a sigh.

" you think he might be able to find us?" Tomas asked, wondering if the sorcerer was capable of such a thing even with them in hiding.

" only if we leave behind magic for him to sense,  the only instance we have had with magic is during the trask raid."  Y/n said, referring to tomas's usage of his powers during that night. " same as always, keep a low profile, and we let it blow over."  Y/n spoke firmly.

"Got it." Tomas nodded.

Y/n mentally sighed,  he couldn't help but feel worried for the future, he has had to hold firm and hope everything would be ok.

POV Switch. Jennifer

Jen walked to her office, ready to continue working on her case, she caught nikki catching up to her.

"Hey girl!  Listen we really gotta talk about the news stuff but that can wait because....  Mr. Wong is in on his way" Nikki expressed with a smile.

Jen smiled. " you're the greatest nikki." She praised as she asked nikki to get in contact with him somehow.

"Don't you forget it girl,  Pretty difficult as i had to message and email several accounts until i got something but it was worth it." Nikki expressed proudly.

"Any idea what time he will show up?"  Jen asked as they got to her office.

"Well he said give him 5 minutes and that was..." Nikki eyed her watch.

Suddenly a portal opened in the middle of the office and out walked the  main topic of their conversation.

"Ms.Walters,  Ms. Ramos, i recieved your messages."  Wong greeted as he closed the portal.

"Wong! Great entrance and perfect time." Jen spoke heading over to her desk motioning over to sit in the chair. " lets get started."

Jen and Wong so got to the meat of the matter as Nikki was seated on the couch taking notes.

"Everything Mr. Blonsky told you is factual. I extracted him from the prison against his own wishes, because I required a worthy opponent as part of my training to become Sorcerer Supreme. And as Sorcerer Supreme, I insist that he not be punished for my actions." Wong finished a she got up.

"Again, I am not the one who will be punishing him."Jen spoke quickly stopping him from leaving. "The parole board will not release him after seeing this video,  I'm just hoping you can show up during the hearing, and explain everything, with your side of the story things will go along much smoothly."

Wong nodded understanding. " I will be able to make it, I will need an address."

Jen grabbed a flash card and wrote down the address and Time of the case. " just show up, answer whatever they ask and I can handle the rest."

Wong nodded accepting the card. " I understand,  I shall depart." Wong got up once more as he opened a portal, but before he did he looked to Jen once more. " do be careful miss Walters,  I sense something or someone in the city..."

Jen's eyes widened  and  Nikki stopped what she was doing.

"What do you mean?" Jen questioned, wishing to know more.

" I deal in the mystical miss Walters, and there is something in the city I am currently investigating." Wong spoke as he made a finger motion and  a card with Wongs contact  appeared. " should you see something  please notify me, it is my duty to quell this fire before it grows." Wong urged.

Jen nodded taking the card . " y-yes of course." She spoke a bit alarmed but understanding.

Wong nodded and went inside the portal before closing it.

"Well that's  concerning."  Nikki spoke perplexed  by the sudden warning. " but hey atleast you got a way to contact ole wongers now" Nikki joked as she wrote some last notes.

Jen  eyed the card in concern, what was in LA  that had the sorcerer attention? She decided to pocket  it and push those thoughts aside. " we will think about all that later Nik, right now..." Jen eyed the audience with determination. " I got a case to win."

Nikki looked her confused "girl I'm over here."
