Steve watched as Natasha watched as the people walk around the small town that they were at. It was a small town that the train had stopped at for engine problems and everyone seemed to have something on their mind. She was watching the people intently as if trying to figure out all of their secrets.

"you know it's not polite to stare," Natasha said to Steve. His face was now flushed red and he was embarrassed, mostly because he wasn't even sure when she noticed him staring at her.

"Sorry." He said rubbing his neck and looked down at the book in his hands that was no longer interesting to him.  Natasha and Steve were having a long wonderful chat on their train ride and to anyone who walked by would have guessed they were old friends catching up. But in reality, they only met a week ago.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience but the train is experiencing some difficulties and will be held back for the next few hours. Please enjoy the sights of Gruyeres Switzerland." The voice over the inner com said.  Natasha looked at Steve, neither of them really minded considering that they were trying to get away from it all.

Steve, being originally from Brooklyn in the United States was excited and was glad that he decided to come overseas to take a train ride around Europe. Natasha was just as excited but the set up of the town reminded her so much of her home back in Russia.

"This is a very beautiful town," Steve remarked and Natasha smiled at how cute he sounded. "What to go explore?" He asked.

"Sure it's not like we have anywhere to be," Natasha said and stood up. "Have you ever been here before?"

"No, I can't say I have, How about you?" He asked her as the two walked out of the train cart.  Natasha shook her head no and Steve held out his hand for Natasha as she stepped out of the train. She smiled and took his hand so she could step down.

"You are such a gentleman." She smiled. "So Mr. Gentleman where would you like to go?" She asked. Steve couldn't help but feel the butterflies in his stomach as she teased him.

"Well, I could eat? You want to get some food?" He asked.

"Yeah sure." She smiled and took his arm. The two walked down the main street of the town and noticed that it had an old, cozy kind of feeling to the town. Natasha noticed as some local town people seemed to send her a glare, they were females so she was guessing that they were all attacked in some way to Steve. "You have admirers." She whispered to Steve.

Steve was unaware that women were staring at him and were a little bit annoyed. He never really liked women who would openly flirt like that. He would prefer to date someone who would only ever look at him like that, not every single guy that walks into his life.

"Yeah," He sighed. "I guess so."

"Why don't you go talk to one of them?" She asked him as they walked along.

"Why would I do that?" He asked kinda annoyed. Throughout the week that the two have been riding the train together Natasha would often point out a girl that walks by them and suggest he talk to them. Of course, Steve would always deny saying he didn't find anything interesting in them.

"I don't know maybe so you can have something to do. Someone to talk to." She said in a duh kind of tone.

"I talk to you." He said Natasha couldn't help but Blush at the blonde's comment.

"It's not the same." She said. "Don't you want to have a conversation with some about personal things. A conversation that actually means something?"

"Are you saying our conversations don't mean anything?"

"Will you stop doing that? Of course, our conversations mean something. What I am walking about is that talking with someone you have feelings, like romantic feelings for can give you butterflies in the stomach, make you blush, even make you laugh like no one is watching." I already do that with you. He added mentally.

"I don't see why I have to be romantically involved with someone to have a deep conversation?" Steve asked as the two walked looking out for any place that would have good food.

"I don't know, I feel like it would just prove how strong your love is for one another." She shrugged.

"You are a strange person you know?" Steve said with a laugh. "Besides I may have feelings for someone." He admitted which perked Natasha's attention.

"OOOO Who is it? Tell me all about her." Natasha exclaimed like a school girl. They walked into a small cafe place and waited for someone to come to seat them. A young man with brown hair in a nice suit came up to them with an encouraging smile, Natasha found it weird he was wearing glasses indoors but didn't think too much of it.

"Hello, my name is Matt I'll be your waiter how many?"

"Just two," Steve replied.

"Oh, okay this is a lovely place for a date." He smiled as he picked up two menus.

"Oh no, it's not a date," Natasha said and Steve's face was flushed with embarrassment.

"Oh, my apologies I just thought... Never mind let me seat you two." He said, He leads them to more of the back of the restaurant and Natasha started a small conversation with the man as they walked.

"Why the sunglass indoors?" She asked and Steve shot her a look telling her it was impolite. But Natasha, of course, ignored it.

"Well uh you see I am blind so I would rather not have anyone looking at my eyes, besides it helps me see better." Natasha was confused on how a blind man could see better with glasses on. "You must be confused, Since I lost sight, my other senses seemed to be twice as better as yours. It's complicated and a long-winded explanation. I don't want to bore Y'all." He said with a kind smile.

"Well, you sure seem to be good on your feet for a blind man," Natasha said to him, she received a very charming smile afterward.

"Thanks, now I guess I will give you time to order. See you two in a few moments." He said before walking away. Something about the way those two talked to each other gave Steve a sick feeling. He didn't like the way he smirked at her and how she joked around with him. But what could he do about it?

"He seems to like you," Steve said with no expression what so ever on his face.  Natasha was now amused by Steve.

"Me? You must be mistaken, Steve." She said with a smirk plastered on her face as she teased Steve.

"Well, he seemed to have perked up when you told him we weren't dating." He said.

"does that bother you, Rogers? That we aren't dating?" She teased him causing Steve to blush like crazy. Natasha laughed at his reaction. "Relax Rogers I was only joking. and besides, he can't possibly like me" She turned her head nodding to the blonde that Matt was talking to. "You see the blue-eyed blonde over there. Obviously, they are dating. I saw them hugging before we walked in and he had the name Karen on his notepad with a heart." She said.

"You are quite the detective Romanoff." He said with a smirk.

"It's a gift." The two engaged in a small conversation about their lives back home as they waited for each other to finish Dinner. It was nothing too fancy, but it was cute and had they been on a date it would have been an ideal location.
"So Rogers are you going to tell me who it is exactly what you are interested in?" She asked as they walked back into town. They had plans to go sit by the pond they saw until it was time to board the train again.

"what are you talking about?" Steve asked innocently.

"Oh don't do that. Steve if there is someone you like I want to know who it is!" She said.

"Why would you even care?" He asked, not harshly but curious.

Because I want to know who my competition is. "Because I want to make sure she is a good person." She said instead.

"Competition? I am sure there isn't a person who could take you down." He laughed. Besides, it would be hard to take yourself down.

"Come on please Steve just tell me about her." She begged. Steve sighed knowing there was no way he could possibly get out of this one. Besides even if he somehow managed to get her off the topic they would be traveling together for a while and it would certainly come up soon. So he sighed and rubbed his face with his free hand, his other hand was in his pocket while Natasha linked their arms together.

"Okay fine I will tell you about her." He said causing Natasha to smile that he had finally given in. "Well she is probably the most stubborn woman I have ever met, She can never say she is wrong even when she is. But even if she was I don't think I would have the heart to tell her she was wrong. She is also very sarcastic and loves to tease me so much I think it brings her joy to see me embarrassed."

"Wow Steve you pick a real winner," Natasha said and Steve laughed.

" But she has a smile that everyone stops to look at because while she barely uses it it is probably the most gorgeous smile I have ever seen. She may seem very rude to everyone else but if you truly know her she is just trying to hide the fact that she is a big dork. I love her eyes. She has these beautiful eyes that you can get lost in. Eyes that if you look in them you never want to leave them. She has hair. This hair that is so beautiful that it fits her perfectly and makes her stand out in the crowd." He continued.

"You seem to really like her," Natasha said, Still having no clue he was talking about her.

"But that's not all. I love her personality. Sure she is beautiful but that's not what made me fall for her. Unlike most people, she doesn't just go through life. She tries to live life. She watches the little things. She watches dear eating grass she watches birds fly. She takes the time to enjoy every moment of life. She never skips a beat. But what I like most about her is her don't care attitude. She never lets anyone bring her down. If someone glares at her she laughs it off, she doesn't let them ruin her day. And when something bothers her, her nose scrunches up and her eyebrows come together. It's adorable. Everything about her is just so amazing." He told her with a dorky smile on his face.

"So why don't you tell her this Steve?" She asked as they sat down on a bench and watched as the sun hit the lake. " I am sure that anyone out there would be lucky to have you as a boyfriend."

"Because I don't know if we are on the same page. At least not yet. But I am hoping that someday if fate allows it we may end up together." Steve said with a sigh. Although they had just met Steve felt very connected to Natasha. He hasn't felt this way since Peggy. His first love. He never thought he could ever look at anyone the way he looked at Peggy. But here he was. And it was tearing him down like a wrecking ball.

"You two seem to have a lot of history," Natasha said but Steve laughed.

"Yeah, you would think. I just met the girl." He said and Natasha was surprised and a hint of red lit up her face. "What about you Natasha anyone special in your life?" He asked her. "Be honest."

"I don't know. There may be a guy. He is a complete dork. He doesn't know a single thing about women but yet he knows exactly what a woman wants to hear. Like your girl, he has these ocean blue eyes that someone could get lost in for years. He knows how to make you feel like your the only one in the world and never misses a chance to make me smile."

"Sounds perfect," Steve said. "So why aren't you two together?"

"Well, I guess he hasn't asked me yet." She said looking him in the eyes. Both of their hearts were thumping like crazy. "I would ask him but he has this old fashion thing to him. I feel like he is just waiting for the right moment."

"Maybe he is wondering whether or not you will say yes to him." Steve said. "would you?" He asked hopefully.

"Well, I guess we will never know unless he asks am I right?" She asked and looked away from him. She fixed her gaze on the pond but Steve was still staring at her.

"I am sure he wants to. He is just scared you may laugh." He admitted.

"I would never laugh at him for something like this." She said. "Right now would be an ideal time. If you were wondering. It's beautiful with the sky, the lake, the swans. Everything just makes it perfect." She said. "but.." Steve was wondering what he should do. He has never done this before and it scared him to death. But maybe it was time to face his fears.

"Natasha, can I ask you something?"

"I would hate you if you didn't." She responded.

"Would you.. you um you would you kinda maybe consider if you want to, if not it's fine but if you do."

"Steve. Just say it. You have nothing to be nervous about." She said sending him a smile. "Start over. Take a breath. and look at me." She said and put his hand on hers. She smiled and encouraged him to continue. He took a deep breath and looked her dead in the eyes that he wanted to look at forever.

"Would you Natasha Romanoff, want to go out with me?" He asked. Natasha smiled getting lost in his eyes. Steve was relieved by the smile.

"Yes, yes Steve I would love to go out with you." She said. Steve smiled and in the moment. He was no longer scared. He was happy. Excited. He was really excited to live life again. He would always love Peggy in a way. But it was time for a new chapter. A new book all together. And Natasha was going to be his main Character.
