secrets secrets | peter parker

"Parker and Y/l/n," Your teacher, Ms. Warren announces. You look across the room at your best friend's familiar face, grateful that he was chosen as your partner for the science project.

Once all the pairs were assigned, you moved to sit next to Peter. "Hi," you sighed, plopping down in the lab stool. "Hey, so Aunt May is hosting a book club meeting at our house or something so is it okay if we do the project at yours?" Peter asked. Your eyes widened at the thought of Peter coming to your house.

In the many years that you and Peter had been friends, you'd been able to avoid Peter coming to your house. It would be pretty hard to explain that your father was Tony Stark and you've had to hide this secret the entire time.

"Maybe. I'll call my parents and let them know we'll be coming," you replied. It wasn't fully a lie. You were going to call your mom and tell her that she and your father could not be at the cabin tonight.

The phone call had gone over relatively smoothly. Your mom promised that both of your parents would not be home until late in the evening so you could work on the project in peace.

You and Peter arrived at your house at around 3pm. "Is the reason I'm never allowed over because w live so far away?" He asked as the both of you stepped into the empty cabin. You nodded in response.

"We should work on the project now so you can get outta here before dark," you advised as you got everything set up. "What? It's the weekend, though! I told my Aunt May i'd be spending the night," Peter frowned.

You bit your lip, you'd need to buy some more time. Hopefully by the time you finished the project Peter would be so bored he'd practically be begging to leave.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When the project was finished, Peter walked to his bag and began to fish around for something.

"What're you looking for?" You asked, peering over to the boy. "I brought some movies for us to watch. Since we finished the project early I thought we could celebrate with a Star Wars marathon," Peter smiled, pulling out his collection of Star Wars movies.

You were three movies in when Peter stood up from the couch, grabbing the bowl of popcorn. "I'm gonna refill the popcorn bowl, do you need anything?" He asked, looking down at you. You shook your head, sending him a quick smile before turning your head back to the tv.

It was a moment of peace before you heard Peter scream. You jumped off the couch and ran into the kitchen, not even bothering to turn off the tv.

To your dismay, Peter was standing in front of your dad. "Mr. Stark," Peter choked out. Tony's eyes were wide as he looked from Peter to you and then back to Peter.

"Peter, my intern and my daughter's friend...what are you doing in my house?" Tony asked suspiciously, crossing his arms over his chest.

Peter's eyes widened as he turned to you, "My house? Y/n, is Tony stark your dad?!" he exclaimed.

"Oh, my God. Okay, one, Peter is my partner for the science project. Two, yes, he's my dad. And three, Peter you're my dad's intern?!" You questioned.

Peter turned to your dad before making some weird face. "Y/n, Peter is... Oh, dear God, why am I telling you this? Peter is Spider-man," your father let out an exasperated sigh at the confession.

"WHAT?" You screamed, causing both of the men in the room to flinch. "You're, you're Spider-man? You're THE friendly neighborhood Spider-man?" you questioned. Peter nodded sheepishly.

"I'm sorry. I've known you for how long, and you never thought to tell me?!" The shock wore off and now you were sort of upset.

"Hey! You're no better! You're Tony Stark's daughter and you kept that from me!" Peter defended.

The two of you stood silent before turning to your dad. "Excuse me, Dad. You knew Peter was Spider-man, and you also knew that he was my best friend, and you didn't think to tell me?!" You berated.

"Look, I- I figured it would be better if you discovered it by yourselves!" Tony exclaimed, putting his hands up in defense.

The three of you sighed before all laughing. "Jeez, we wasted so much time keeping these secrets, didn't we?" You managed to choke out in between laughs. Peter nodded in agreement.

"Well, now that that's over with, we've got some Star Wars movies to watch," you sighed, wiping the tears that fell during your laughing fit off of your face.
