Peace no more

Long ago in a land far from the one we know, a land where magic lives and monarchs rule the land. And this story is not about the rules of this land... but rather their children. Of course Sparklez was the king and his royal advisor was Anthony. But Sparklez never had any children, so he had to look at his siblings children to see if they're fit to rule.

After looking at the children Sparklez chose an heir to take over once he is gone. Many people were shocked by his decision but he felt that it had to be done this way. So he chose Lizzie to be his successor instead of Lizzie's cousin Stampy. "A girl?" Most people complained. To which Sparklez would tell those people that she is more capable and mature than Stampy, more fit to rule than him.

However, Lizzie was still a girl, still learning everything she needed to know about ruling a kingdom. But besides from studying she would often talk to one of the few people she can talk to like a normal person. Dan.

Dan was the son of the general of the royal guard. Somewhat like an army but it only protected the capital and any royals. It was still a big deal, they needed a strong leader to lead them into battles and protect the nobles from thieves and criminals. But Dan was still a boy at heart and would often have horse races with his best friend, Stampy.

Stampy being Lizzie's cousin (though very distant) wasn't as mature as every says he should be. Often times workers say he should be getting married by now, who Stampy always shook his head in disgust at. But he wasn't just childish, unlike Lizzie he could perform magic, and he studied under the greatest magician he ever met. Or the only magician he ever met.

Stacy was the only real magician in the kingdom, the others where just sleazy cheapskates wandering from town to town. While she can perform actual magic because while she was young she was an apprentice to a wizard. Though now the wizard passed on it was her job to not only entertain, but to protect, and teach others with the magic she learned.

But one day an important family heirloom was stolen from a room that was to be guarded at all times. It was Dan's turn to be guarding the door but he slacked off and went to grab something to eat instead, and no one saw him. If anyone knew Dan wasn't at his post he would be executed for sure. So he lied and said it was Stacy that took the heirloom. Only magic strong enough could get past him, and only Stacy had that sort of magic.

So without a moment's hesitation Sparklez banished Stacy from the land for all eternity. Even though Dan lied, and all because he got the munchies.

With betrayal engraved in her mind and hate in her heart Stacy went out to seek revenge. She swore to herself that she would never do any good deeds with her magic ever again. And when the opportunity arose, Stacy took it.

You see, every year there is somewhat of a gala held in the Royal Palace, the ballroom to be precise. So Stacy disguised herself as a noble woman to sneak into the ball and start her plan for revenge.

As the night went on and the ball was at its peak Stacy stood up on a stage where the musicians were and revealed herself to be the 'traitor' they thought she was. Guards flew in and Dan pulled out his sword for a fight. Sparklez grabbed an ax displayed on one of the walls while Lizzie grabbed a bow an arrow from another display.

But when Stampy looked at the person he onced called friend he saw in her eyes that she wasn't a thief at all, she couldn't be. She was too kind to him and would never steal, especially from the royal family. He couldn't bring himself to hurt her.

With a snap of her fingers Stacy, Dan, Stampy, Lizzie, and Sparklez were gone from the ballroom.

When the reappeared the place was dark like a cave but lit up by giant torches on the wall. But if you looked up you could see light coming from the ceiling, maybe it was an extinct volcano.

Instead of seeing Stacy like they all thought they saw no one but each other and suddenly huddled together with Dan in the front when they heard a laugh. It was the most evil, vile, ugly thing Dan ever heard. And with a suddenly flash of darkness he saw what it was.

A beast the size of a whale landed a few feet in front of them and the torches lit back up as if they where magic. When Dan saw the beast he almost dropped his sword due to fear. It wasn't a beast... it was a dragon.

A dragon with dark purple scales and horns the color of the stars. When it stretched open its wings it looked like a night sky, with stars twinkling and a comet passed by. But when the creature opened its eyes it reveled to have green eyes. Green eyes that only Stampy and one other person could have.

"Welcome to the volcano of shade!" The dragon said, it's voice booming.

"When you first turned your backs on me, I discovered this place. The darkness spoke to me of a power beyond my wildest dreams, and I listened." The dragon continued. It's teeth were sharp and jagged, perfect for eating meats... and humans.

"The darkness and I became one being, and soon the land will hate you just as much as you hate me, when you casted me out!" The dragon shouted, there was no doubt that it was Stacy.

"I did what I had to do," said Sparklez, "you tried stealing an ancient relic for yourself!"

The dragon or Stacy since it was her growled, "No it was YOU who was selfish! And now you will pay!"

She raised her claw and a ball of magic appeared in her palm, and just like that Sparklez disappeared without a trace.

"What did you do to Sparklez you fiend!" Dan shouted.

"No Daniel, you are the true fiend!" Stacy roared and slammed her dragon claws down on the ground causing the earth to shake. This caused the three friends to fall over due to the earthquake.

But if that wasn't enough Stacy picked up Stampy (very carefully) in her giant claws. All he could do was sit there, he probably looked like an ant to her. And very carefully she put him in a cage hanging from a chain. Sure the cage was big and he could easily slip through the bars, but with nothing below him he could easily die.

As Stacy was doing this, Lizzie managed to slip away behind a rock and hid there. She watched as Stacy turned her attention from Stampy to Dan who was laying down helplessly on the floor, his sword meer inches from his hands. But as he went to grab it Stacy blew out a small flame and the sword was no more.

"So what are you going on do? Eat me?" Dan asked, trying to sound tough.

Stacy laughed and looked at the helpless man. "No, because if I did then I would be a monster. I want everyone to see who the real villain is here."

"What are you? Argh!" Dan groaned.

Lizzie gasped as she saw what unfolded before her eyes. Dan tried to stand but fell onto his hands and knees, you could hear his heavy breathing and all the pain he was in.

Dan looked tried to stand up again but fell on his rear end. He looked at his hands and saw how they started to turn into claws, and light blue scaled started to appear on his arms. He felt like he was choking and touched his neck to realize that his neck was also covered in scales. The choking feeling only got worse, but vanished when Dan suddenly breathed out a burst of cold air or maybe even snow.

"W-what is... happening?" Dan barely managed to say.

"I cast a spell on you. A spell that will turn you into what's really into your heart. And this Daniel, is what your heart is." Stacy explained. She just say back and watched Dan's suffering, his screaming almost music to her new dragon ears. The fear in his eyes was magnificent to look at.

"What... w-what am I?" He asked.

"A dragon of ice. Because your heart is cold, and because you are a traitor I casted another spell to make you into a dragon. Oh how the transformation process is fun... to watch." Stacy snickered.

Lizzie could barely even watch what was happening, but she needed to make sure Dan survived and what he looked like. If she escaped she could find someone to fix him.

Though Dan only kept screaming in agony. He felt organs move and shift into places they shouldn't be, and he felt really cold all of a sudden. He felt himself get bigger and heard his clothing start to rip. But the worst part was the growing of the wings, horns, and tail. Scales were one thing but growing new limbs is another.

Stampy watched in horror as the whole thing played out. He saw Lizzie hiding and saw how she looked away after Dan started to grow. He felt bad, but didn't know who to feel bad for. Stampy watched as Dan suddenly sprouted wings as if he where a tree. A tail suddenly came out from his pants. And he saw Dans face shift from a man to a reptile, horns growing out of the back of his head, and more spines sticking out underneath he horns.

Dan roared and flapped his new wings. The transformation was complete, he was a dragon. But as he flapped his wings hoping to be able to fly free he was picked up and smashed into a wall that shook Stampy's cage and rumbled throughout the mountain.

As dragon Dan fell to the floor he was tossed across the room by Stacy's tail. Then picked up and smashed into the ground; once, twice, a third time.

Until Stampy screamed on the top of his lungs, "Stop, stop! No more! Please stop it!"

But Stacy didn't listen. She smashed Dan into the ground one final time for good measure then threw him into another cage across from Stampy's. It was a miracle that he was even alive.

Then Stacy looked around and growled. "Grrr... where's the princess! Gah, I have to do everything myself!" With a final roar Stacy lifted her wings and flew out of the volcano leaving the three friends alone.

"Dan? Dan are you alright!" Stampy cried out.

Dan barely managed to lift his head, but he was moving. All was not lost. "Stampy?" He asked softly before completely passing out on the cage floor. He wasn't as big of as dragon as Stacy but he was still pretty big, probably not able to escape to cage.

Stampy looked down at Lizzie who was now standing in the open. "Lizzie! Go get help!" Stampy called.

"I don't even know where we are!" Lizzie called back.

"Uh. I think I can get you out of here, maybe a short teleportation spell... I can't send you back to the castle but maybe there's a village nearby!" Stampy said.

"If you know a teleportation spell get us all out of here!" Lizzie argued.

Stampy explained, "I'm not that good at magic, I can only teleport one thing per day before I get headaches. So hold still this may tickle..."

Holding out his hand a little wavey ball of orange was infront of his palm. When Lizzie started to have an orange glow around her Stampy knew the spell was working. And in just a few short seconds she was gone, like she never was even there.

Stampy looked at Dan, he looked almost lifeless. Then his headaches started to lick in, and he leaned against one of the metal bars.

"Why did you do this Stacy," Stampy asked himself, "why did you follow the darkness... what did you do to Sparklez?"

Stampys headaches suddenly got worse. "Please hurry Lizzie. If not for me, do it for Dan. We... he needs you, the kingdom needs you... Stacy needs you..."
