Suffrage
This is basically for homework that I forgot to do but it's history so it counts. A friend of mine (he also uses Wattpad) has the same class as me so he has the same work. I have to make 3 paragraphs, the first is the POV of a suffragist, second is the POV of an anti-suffragist and third is me and how I feel about it. And it's like 1900's so.... Yeah. Read with warning.
Meh I might as well make a a story about it. The year is 1910
Suffering is bad
Suffrage is good
Difference? Very, suffering is pain and loss. Suffrage is giving people rights. So I, Stacy a common woman from New Jersey will stand up and fight for my rights as a woman! We are pushed around, mocked, left alone in the dark, and are almost beaten by our husbands. They manage to convince us to loose our confidence and as teachers of religion, medicine and law we go unnoticed. They tell us how to live and we are to follow a different moral code than the common man. But, what about the common woman? Who was less power than her male counterpart? Who has no voice what so ever? It's time for us to take a stand and finally get the right to vote, for we believe all men and women are created equal! I, Stacy Evans am a suffragist.

Bah! That phrase has no meaning what so ever! So I, Stella Clarke wife of Romeo Clarke am against giving women suffrage. Call me a traitor all they want, it's for the better. Women are delicate and will get tired just walking to the voting hall. If we vote then I and my fellow anti-suffragists fear that woman will become too masculine if we have the right to vote. Some of us aren't as educated as men and I personally perfer my life as it is. Both men and women work equally as hard, voting doesn't need to be added onto women's responsibility. They'll only get themselves arrested, it happened before. The poor souls went on a hunger strike in prison and we're force-fed. They were arrested for picketing in front of the presidents home. Fools I tell you, they're all fools and the men who support them are even bigger fools! I, Stella Clarke am an anti-suffragist.

I agree with this statement, although suffering happens every day suffrage is a good thing. Women don't have the same rights as men everywhere, in Saudi Arabia women couldn't drive cars until just recently. Learning about all that has happened and how far these women went to get what they want... hasn't really changed much. Although women started gaining more rights which is amazing, the world will always be sexist. Men always saying women aren't as good as men. Well they're wrong, they always have been. I mean childbirth, they'll never understand that pain. They don't know what it's like to get periods every month. We all know women are the real heros in history. I, R.I.C honor those women who fought for their rights back in the early 20th century so that men AND women could be equal.
And yes the anti-suffragists actually believe women were too frail and delicate to vote. They also believed that women weren't as smart as men. Most anti-suffragists being women themselves! So they just called themselves dumb and weak. Probably from all the brainwashing men did to them. Thank God we live in a time where men and women were created equal and women could actually stand out now in a crowd.
And just for fun here's two more, one suffragist and another anti-suffragist.
Suffering is bad
Suffrage is good
This statement is the most true a statement can be. As a man born from a rich family I was raised to marry a women who will do and say exactly as I tell them to. Of course a person not matter race or gender wants to take orders from another. So I, Daniel Johnson will help defend women in their fight for suffrage. As privileged to be a man I've noticed women have no voice. No one to stick up for them, and no one will listen. Maybe with a man on their side I can help make a difference. Maybe, all men and women will be created equal at long last. I, Daniel Johnson am a suffragist.

Over the years women have become so rebellious, I believe that they should listen to their husbands at least! But, they won't even do that anymore. What has happened to our perfect way of home life? Men would work and make all of the important decisions, while women would stay home and take care of the children. I am Romeo Clarke, you may call me an anti-suffragist but honestly I couldn't care less about the whole ordeal. It'll blow over like the civil war, rebellious women realize that without husbands leading them they are lost, and will come crawling back within weeks. It may leave some scares and a thing might change here or there but everything will stay the same. At least until a new invention is made, like Edison's light bulb or maybe some way to get around without using horses. If an invention like that is invented then it'll clean up the slums a little bit. Those poor men and boys, stuck in those small tenniments with women and multiple families in one room. Not one man is educated and have barely enough to get by! Where was I? Oh yes, I Romeo Clarke will be considered an anti-suffragist.
That's it folks! Some more American history for you. Actually if you were wondering, women weren't able to vote until 1920 where it was mandatory to let women vote.
