New York City (Part 2)

Olivia POV:

Bringing Romeo and Aiden to Lukas was better than I expected. I thought it would take a lot of begging and bribes to convince Lukas to let these two train wreck of a couple stay with him. But what I didn't know was that Lukas and Aiden used to be friends. He specifically told me, "If you brought anyone else who looked like a crack head to me, I would've said you're crazy. But for Aiden and his friend... I'll make an exception."

Turns out Lukas used to be in this group with Aiden called 'The Ocelots', they weren't much of a gang from what I was told. They more or less helped rescued cats find homes. But not all friendships last and the two broke apart. Lukas spent time with his book and Aiden went off to do some crimes. It's nice to see the two continue to be friends.

The next morning I visited Lukas' apartment to see how Aiden and Romeo were doing. Because for some reason I suddenly cared now. It was kind of sad, to be honest. Romeo's ex (Xara) threw away most of Romeos stuff, which I assumed wasn't a lot because I don't think he even has money to spend. All they brought with them where their clothes in trash bags, I assumed Xara was going to throw them out too before they showed up and got their clothing.

The rest of the day was alright considering the 'date' I was being forced to go on with Axel. I don't even know where we're going, but I think we're going to New Jersey? Like I said, I don't know.

But that evening while Stacy was taking a shower I decided to snoop around her phone for a little bit. Being the hacker that I was, I gained access to her phone with ease (I'm just kidding I literally guessed the password). I didn't want to snoop around too much because this could be a little hobby for me. So I predicted that I only had time to briefly look through one of her messages. I just closed my eyes and picked the first one my finger landed on... which was the home button. Then I just went 'screw it' and scrolled through her messages with Stampy.

Mr. StampyCat: Hello Stacy! ^^

Stacysays: Hey Stampy.

Mr. StampyCat: So how's everything?

~~~
Okay, this is boring... Ah, here we go! This looks interesting, three days ago.
~~~

Stacysays: Are you okay Stampy? You left the chat.

Mr. StampyCat: I know I just didn't want to deal with everyone making fun of us again

Stacysays: They aren't making fun of us. They're teasing us.

Mr. StampyCat: Isn't it the same thing?

Stacysays: No, not really.

Mr. StampyCat: I guess they were just teasing us...

Stacysays: Can I ask you something, Stampy?

Mr. StampyCat: Sure, anything... is it about cake?

Stacysays: No it's not about cake.

Mr. StampyCat: Just checking! ^^ So what is it then?

Stacysays: Well, Petra is going on this group date thing and she dared me to ask you to go with me.

Mr. StampyCat: Why didn't you just say no?

Stacysays: I'm too stubborn to say no. You would've done the same thing! Remember when Dan dared you to only talk in crazy frog quotes for the whole day?

Mr. StampyCat: WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT!!1!

Stacysays: Well now I have blackmail. Bing Bing.

Mr. StampyCat: Why are you so mean sometimes? :(

Stacysays: I'm not mean, I'm just blunt. So are you going with me to Petra's date or not?

Mr. StampyCat: Can we just go as friends?

Stacysays: I guess, but Dan is just going to keep teasing us.

Mr. StampyCat: Ooo I got an idea! When we show up, we can ask dan 'why aren't you in your room young man?' and his date will think we're his parents! XD

Stacysays: Brilliant!

Mr. StampyCat: Haha, I know. I have to go bye Stacy! Bing Bing! ^^

Stacysays: Bye Stampy, bing bing.

~~~
What's this? One deleted message? Well, I'ma just take a quick peek...
~~~

Stacysays [deleted]: I love you.

~~~
Quickly after reading that deleted message I put down Stacy's phone and left the room. So StacyCat IS confirmed! I have to tell Dan, it'll be hilarious! Wait... no I wouldn't do that. Besides what if Stampy is gay or something? God, please let him not be gay! It also confirms my theory that Stacy has a thing for British people. I should leave that romance to sort out itself. That sounds like a good plan.
An hour later it was about 8 p.m, Stacy and I were waiting in Penn Station for Stampy and Axel to show up. "What are we waiting for? The train is about to leave soon!" I complained.
"Olivia, it hasn't even arrived yet. And we're waiting for Stampy and Axel. Petra was supposed to pick us up but traffic here is... well rough. She's already in New Jersey, we'll meet her there." Stacy explained.
To be fair, I haven't really been on trains besides the subway trains. My parents just drove me everywhere, or I would walk or take a bus. I know it's sad, but this was going to be the first time I've ever been on a train.
A few minutes passed and the train arrived, I could tell because a wave of people was coming out of the entrance to the trains. Penn Station, at least the part I was in, was a large corridor with multiple entrances that went down to the trains. There was also this giant staircase that was connected to the rest of the station, the part I was currently in was NJ Transit. At least I think it was NJ Transit...
I was about to pull out my phone and text Axel so that they could find us, but then I heard someone yell, "BING BING!"
Confusion took over me and I looked over to mother Stacy (what's wrong with me?) for guidance. But when I looked at her she was a little bit red and she yelled out back to the person, "Bing Bing!"
When Stacy looked towards that staircase, I could've sworn I saw her heart blushing. I looked past her to see what she was looking at and I saw Stampy jumping down step by step, and Axel was patiently waiting at the bottom. I don't understand why she likes Stampy so much. You know what? I don't care, I don't! Let's just get this night over with! I thought.
Once Stampy jumped down the last step he ran over to us, with Axel walking behind him at a relativity slow pace. Stacy and Stampy weren't wearing anything special, just their usual clothes. Axel was wearing a green jacket, dark fingerless gloves, tan pants and sandals... yes sandals in May.
I'll skip the boring train ride to New Jersey since I almost fell asleep, though Axel kept waking me up by gently nudging me awake. And yet, he still hasn't said one word to me. Not a single, verbal, word. Does he hate me? Or is he just as unenthusiastic for this as I am? I would think. And I think I was right... I think...
But then I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, it was a text from Petra.
~~~

Lesbianvenom: Where are u guys?

SandwichMan: Well Stacy is reading and Stampy is listening to music and looking out the window

Olivia: Axel, I'm sitting right next to you. Why won't you talk to me?

Lesbianvenom: Guys, where are you?

Olivia: NJ Transit.

Lesbianvenom: Train?

SandwichMan: Train

Olivia: We're only a stop away, Petra. Tell us where you are so we don't have to call you later.

Lesbianvenom: I'm in a red van... a Nissan to be exact. Lukas, Dan, and his date are already here.

SandwichMan: He actually has a date? Hm...

Olivia: Is that an uncommon thing?

Lesbianvenom: Axel... she's British...

SandwichMan: What are the odds of that!

Olivia: Why am I surrounded by Brits?

SandwichMan: It could be worse. It could've been the time Petra was a lesbian.

Lesbianvenom: SHUSH!

Olivia: Petra... you're a lesbian?

Lesbianvenom: WAS! I WAS a lesbian! I'm straight now.

SandwichMan: Suuuuuure you are.

Olivia: I learn something new every day...

~~~
My phone almost flew out of my hand when the train suddenly stopped, it was the last stop. Elizabeth NJ. Stacy was putting her book back in her satchel, Stampy was taking his earbuds out of his ears, and Axel got up... when this happened. "Nigger almost dropped her phone. Damn millennials."
Was this guy talking about me? Of course, he is, I'm the only black person here. Well, there's a first time for everything. My first time being on a train, and my first time being called... THAT. I'm surprised it took me this long. This guy is clearly southern, his accent gives it away. Whatever, haters are everywhere. I thought. I wanted to ignore the man but he kept mumbling things that should not be repeated. Reluctantly I had to walk behind the man out to the platform. Of course, I was wary of the gap, but this man tried to trip me!
I'd never thought this would happen, and I'd never thought this would be the first time I heard Axel speak. But Axel grabbed the man by his shoulder and turned him around. "You got a lot of nerve calling my friend the N-word buddy," Axel growled.
I also never seen such fear in someone's eyes before. Now you see, Axel is over six feet tall. So he towered over the southern man. "I uh... umm..." The man mumbled.
But Axel wouldn't accept that as an answer. "Stop mumbling before I give you something to mumble about! Apologize!" he spat.
The man gave me a look and briefly said, "Sorry." before running away.
"Yeah, that's right! Run away like the pussy you are!" Axel yelled.
Of course, the word 'pussy' offended Stampy, but he didn't say anything. And all I could do was stare at Axel, then he saw me staring and said, "What?"
I guess we're at speaking terms now... "Um... thanks. No one has ever stood up for me like that. Granted no one has ever called me that either. Still, thanks."
Axel shrugged. "Ah, it's nothing. I'd do anything to defend my friends. And I don't like it when people use that word or any terrible word."
"What?" I asked. I knew what he meant, he meant any words linked to profanity. Or so I just assumed.
"Oh you know," he said, "the F-word, the P-word, the C-word. Heck, that's just the short list!"
"You think Fuck is a terrible word? Sorry. I mean it is, but it's not the worst possible thing-"
But Axel cut me off. "Faggot. I was talking about Faggot."
Yeah, that seems to make a lot more sense than Fuck... "Why do you hate it so much?" I asked.
When I asked my question Axel just stood there for a moment. I looked behind me to see that Stacy and Stampy where already walking towards the stairs to get to the parking lot. Was this some sort of sensitive topic? I had no clue.
"You know how Romeo and Aiden are Gay right? And how Petra used to be a lesbian? I just... too many hateful people you know? I normally don't care about stuff like that, it ain't my business to care about who people like. Though that was before I met Romeo and Aiden," Axel explained. "Then I started to care a little more. You know how people can get, you literally just saw the best example right now!"
"The best, worst example you mean?" I asked.
"Let's just stop talking about it okay? Petra is probably waiting for us..." Axel said. He was right because when I looked over the railing and down at the Parking lot I saw that man and the red van Petra texted about.
So Axel and I walked down the stairs (there was an elevator but it wasn't working) and into the parking lot, we saw Stacy and Stampy open the sliding door of the van and crawl in. But not before Stampy saying, "Why aren't you at home young man?"
And a female British voice spoke after, "Dan your parents are here?"
"Oh sure," Dan said, ignoring the British girl which I assumed was his date. "The one time you want to pretend to be my parents is to embarrass me. You both suck!"
"You don't mean that," Stacy said, getting in after Stampy.
"Oh, you're an American. I probably would've figured out if it was a joke you know. I'm not stupid." The British girl said.
"Sorry, we're late. Some moron got Axel mad." I said, interrupting the conversation.
Axel backed me up. "Yeah, he said the N-word and I weren't having it."
"Axel you have to sit in the back. It's not my choice, it's Lukas'." Petra said. Axel nodded and made his way to the back drow, and said in the corner.
"Lukas?" I asked. "What a coincidence I know a Lukas from work."
"Olivia?" A voice asked this one was a male voice. And he went behind the passenger's seat to look at me. "Oh my god."
"What are the odds!" I said. It was so strange seeing Lukas outside of work. "How's Aiden and Romeo?"
"They're surprisingly helpful. They're taking care of the apartment right now... and my cat." Lukas explained.
"Look can this wait until we get there? Or until we're at least on the road? Where are we going exactly?" The British girl asked. Just to give a brief description she had Pink dyed hair and was wearing a schoolgirl uniform, at least from what I could see.
Petra sighed. "She's right. We're going to Dave and Buster's in Woodbridge Center. So sit down, this might take awhile."
(Note: Just to get a feel on what the van looks like)
Petra was driving (of course) and Lukas was in the passengers' seat. Behind them was where Dan and his date sat, I learned on the drive to the place that her name is Lizzie. Then it was Stampy and Stacy, and finally Axel and I all the way in the back. We had to put our seatbelts on (safety first) and Petra drove out of the lot and to the street, and to Woodbridge, we went.
~~~

The drive to the Dave and Busters took about thirty minutes, granted there was a little traffic. It was the weekend after all, or people in New Jersey worked really late. Anyways everyone had their own thing to do, Petra driving (of course) and I couldn't see what Lukas was doing but he was jamming out to the radio. Dan and Lizzie talked a bit, don't ask me what because I ignored them. Stacy was reading a book while Stampy looked out the window at the passing cars. All while I sat in the back patiently until we reached our destination, that's how I always acted in cars. Until I had received a text from Axel.

~~~
SandwichMan: Olivia
Olivia: What?
SandwichMan: Have you ever been to a Dave and Busters?
Olivia: No, they didn't have one in my town.
SandwichMan: 0_0
Olivia: What's that supposed to be?
SandwichMan: You have a lot to learn Olivia
Olivia: Sorry, I don't usually text people.
SandwichMan: Your texting me right now
Olivia: I mean texting friends.
SandwichMan: That settles it! I'm going to make sure you have a good time!
Olivia: Doesn't Dave and Busters serve alcohol?
SandwichMan: Just because I'm a big dude doesn't mean I chug beer. I have my limits
Olivia: Whatever, I'm not going to drink anything though.
SandwichMan: Well if you die of dehydration then I'm leaving the state!
Olivia: You know what I meant!
SandwichMan: I'm just messing with you, calm down Olivia
Olivia: I am calm, you're just annoying me.
SandwichMan: Alright, alright, I'll leave you alone. We're almost there anyway
~~~The next morning~~~

I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and ready for anything. Alright, world! What do you have in store for me today? Oh right, it's Sunday.

Sometimes I forget that I have off on Sundays, which is fair since most people go to church. But I can't really say that I'm much of a religious person. Regardless I went out into the living room then off to the kitchen (which is almost a part of the living room) to make myself some cereal like I always do. Though as I went to sit on the couch I saw Stacy laying there, mumbling to herself.

"Stacy," I said. "Stacy wake up."

She mumbled something and turned away from me, hugging one of the couch pillows. Knowing me, I wasn't taking no for an answer. So I put my cereal down on the coffee table and picked up a pillow from the floor (which I assumed Stacy knocked over last night) and I started to hit her with it. I continued to hit her until the mumbled, "Olivia stop, everything hurts."

"Can you move so I can sit down and eat my cereal?" I asked.

"Sure. Just shhhhhhhh." She mumbled some more.

Stacy curled herself up in a little ball, which gave me some room to sit down and eat my cereal. Grabbing the remote I turned on our sad excuse for a TV (which actually wasn't that bad, at least it was a flat screen) and flicked through the channels until I ended up with one of the many news channels.

I watched for a few minutes and continued to eat my cereal. I thought it was going to be a quiet morning until I heard Stacy ask, "What kind of cereal?"

I could barely hear her so I had to turn down the volume. "Does it matter?"

Stacy gave me a tired look. "I'm just asking..."

"Honey Nut Cheerios," I answered. But looking down at her I couldn't help but think she was a bum. Her hair was messy and her she was wearing the same shriveled clothes from the night before. So I got up and put a blanket over her, it was more or less a towel since all the blankets are the ones on our beds. But Stacy snuggled into it anyways.

As I thought it would just be a normal Sunday, something else happened. I was drinking the milk out of the bowl (since I didn't want to be wasteful) when I hear a door open. "Is there someone here?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to mention something to you, Olivia..." Stacy groaned as she sat up on the couch. The towel still wrapped around her.

"I can certainly hear it. Who's there!" I called out.

A man slowly walked into the living room. He wasn't wearing a shirt or pants, he had on cake printed boxers though. Like Stacy, his hair was messy though still remaining short and curly. "Can you please quiet down? It's too early for this." He complained.

"Stampy? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Dan locked me out of the apartment and I had a feeling it was going to be awkward if I tried knocking. So I came here and Stacy let me sleep in her bed." Stampy explained.

I could hardly keep myself from laughing, it all seemed so ridiculous. Seriously when did I end up in some romance novel? I thought. "So Stacy... did you two... you the thing? Is StacyCat confirmed?" I joked.

Stacy looked at me with guilt plastered all over her face. "Oliviaaaaaa! Don't be gross, I slept on the couch as you can see. Nothing romantic happened, right Stampy?"

"Uhh, I don't really remember. Sorry." Stampy apologized. Though I was surprised to see a hungover Stampy, he didn't seem like the drinking type.

"Stampy, are you drunk? Or I should ask, did you drink last night?" I asked.

Stampy shook his head, and although no one asked Stacy explained. "He's like Soda from The Outsiders. He gets drunk without touching alcohol. So he's more tired than drunk."

"I'm not wearing pants!" Stampy said suddenly, before running off. Probably to go put on some pants.

I walked back over to the couch and rested leaned against the back of it. "Are you drunk?"

"I was drunk. I was drunk last night. I was drunk when I let Stampy into my apartment. Now I'm a bit hungover and a bit disappointed." Stacy said, her voice groggy.

All I could do was shake my head disappointedly. "Okay, first I'll get you a cup of milk and some tissues. Then you're going to tell me what the hell happened. Deal?"

I didn't even wait for a response because I was already making my way towards the fridge to get her that cup of milk, and those tissues. Do hungover people need tissues? This is why people need to drink responsibly.

Putting the tissues on the table and handing the cup to Stacy, I sat next to her and waited a bit before she started talking to me. I didn't want to have to decode everything she was saying.

"Alright," She started. "After we left Dave and Busters everyone was a bit messed up, except Axel, you, and Lukas. Though you passed out on the ride back so Axel carried you up here. I don't know what happened with Lukas and Petra, and Dan was probably playing video games with his date. Knowing Dan he can get... I don't even know the word to describe it. The point is sometimes things get crazy and he locks Stampy out."

"That seems like something Dan would do." I agreed.

"But I also know that Stampy can be scared easily," Stacy said continuing her explanation. "So he probably didn't know what was happening in there and decided to come here to spend the night. No one probably even knew that he was 'Stampy Drunk' since he can get surprisingly quiet in public places. Though when he arrived here I was still a bit drunk (and tired) when I let him in, so I offered him the couch and he agreed. You were already sleeping though, and I was just about to drop dead onto my mattress. When Stampy walked in and wanted to sleep in my bed."

"This is getting interesting~" I joked.

"Don't get too excited. Since all he did was cuddle up next to me for awhile. Though once he started to strip I got freaked out and I finally fell asleep on the couch." Stacy sighed.

"Why are you disappointed then? It sounds like an interesting experience... to listen to." I tried to reassure. Yeah, I can kinda see when she's disappointed now.

"I'm not comfortable talking about it. Just leave me be please." Stacy requested.

"Alright, alright. You have a car right?"

"Yes, why?"

I didn't really have a reason, except that I wanted to go make sure Romeo and Aiden are behaving and I wanted to go see Axel. But I came up with a good excuse. "I need to drive Stampy back to his apartment. And I have some stuff I need to attend to. I have my license, I'll be fine."

"Alright, my keys are on the fox statue," Stacy said, nodding towards a small table by the door. Indeed there was a fox statue with they keys in its mouth.

"How do you find stuff like this?" I couldn't help but ask aloud.

"Don't ask questions. Go get dressed or whatever, go out like that if you want. I'll be here if you need me." She mumbled.

So I got dressed, brushed my hair, brushed my teeth (and flossed) and waited by the door for Stampy to hurry up. I almost thought he went back to sleep but I heard him slowly walking down the hall, amongst other noises (mostly Stacy vomiting from the bathroom.)

Jesus these two are a mess today. "Alright Cat Man. Let's head out."
