Lukas's pov:

Sigh. Here we go again. The building competition. Everyone, mostly Aiden, were so excited to beat Jesse's team...again. I was in my room getting all the materials we need to build a rainbow beacon. Suddenly, I heard my phone ringing. It was Aiden.

Lukas: Yo Aiden, what's up.

Aiden: Hey Lukas, just wanted to let you know that me and the others are waiting for you at Endercon.

Lukas: Oh okay, thanks, I'll be there in ten minutes.

Aiden: Okay, see you there.

*Time skip to the building competition*

While we were signing in, I heard another group come other. It was Jesse's group...Jesse. Back in my childhood, we were best friends. During that time I developed feelings for her...I still have feelings for her. But when I met Aiden in high school, everything changed. And since then, we've been enemies. I can only dream that she would ever like me back.

We won the building competition. Everybody in my group was happy, I was happy but, I was a bit guilty for beating Jesse again. The others were celebrating while I was in an ally way all by myself. I was shocked when I felt someone touch my shoulder. It was Jesse.

Lukas: Oh my God! Jesse you scared me. What are you doing down here?

Jesse: I saw you walking in here and I wanted to know if you were all right.

Lukas: Really? B-but why?

Jesse: I also wanted this to be the time I can get a chance to talk to you again...as your friend.

I was shocked. She wanted to talk to me? Of all people?!

Lukas: W-well, okay........sigh. Jesse listen, there's been something I've been wanting to say to you for a long time, ever since we first met. I think I like you. No scratch that, I love you. Sorry, that's just something I needed to get off my chest. I know you could never love me back because you hate me.

Jesse: Lukas...look at me.

I looked at her. As soon as I made eye contact with her, she hugged me. I blushed. When she pulled away, I noticed she was blushing too.

Jesse: Lukas...I never hated you.

Lukas: Really?

Jesse: Really, and, I love you too.

I couldn't believe what I just heard. She loved me back. I was so happy that I pulled her into another hug. When we pulled away, we looked each other in the eyes. I saw that Jesse was leaning into me. I started to lean in too. When we both closed our eyes, our lips touched together. It was the most amazing feeling ever. I never thought this would ever happen to me. When we pulled away, both our faces were blushing.

Jesse: I love you Lukas.

Lukas: I love you too Jesse.

She then started to walk away from me.

Jesse: See you at Endercon?

Lukas: Yeah see you there.

Jesse: Cool.

I started to walk back to my friends who were still celebrating.

Aiden: Lukas! Where have you been?!

Lukas: Oh nothing, just catching up with an old friend.

I smiled happily to myself. I couldn't wait to see her again.
