I don't know how I imagined my first meeting, after not seeing or hearing from him for eight years, would go with Carter, but my morning began pretty normal.

It bad been three days after Agent Karl told me that Carter and his parents would be transferred back to this headquarters. Three days that I couldn't focus on my daily training. Three days that all I could think about was Carter.

The morning started with Agent Erica, my legal guardian, waking me up from another one of my super crazy dreams for my daily training.

My daily training included running around the inside of the gates ten times, climbing a rock wall situated on the west side of the headquarter building, and then my daily class with Agent Chris.

The rock wall is no ordinary rock wall, as you may have guessed since it is used for training spies. The rock wall has a series of ropes, ladders, tunnels, and traps built with the newest technology. It can be pretty hard for new recruits, but seeing as I've been using it to train for at least the past six years it isn't quite as challenging for me. If you aren't focused while training with our high tech rock wall, you can be severely injured.

The reason why I still use the rick wall in my training every day is because that's how my parents met. They had both worked together to build it, obviously along with the rest of their group, but when I'm using the rock wall I feel like my parents are somehow helping me train.

Agent Erica is usually silent while taking me to breakfast and to training, but today she starts talking to me on the way to training, after I have eaten breakfast. "So, we're going to have to skip your usual class with Agent Chris. Agent Karl has requested that you do individual training with Agent Liam today." Her cell phone rings, and she picks it up. Her previously confident tone quickly changes to confused. I hear a chorus of 'okay', then a 'I'll tell her', then she hangs up and slips the phone back into her jacket pocket.

"Well," Agent Erica says, "it looks like we have a change of plans."

"Alright, what are we going to do then?" I say.

"Agent Karl requested that we meet with the transfers that just arrived today." She says, "he'd also like for you to give them a tour of headquarters."

"Carter, Jane, and Nathan Jacobson?" I say, and she nods. "When?"

"Now."

"Okay, let's go."

We turn around and head back in the opposite direction, toward Agent Karl's office.
