Mckennlee Winters is not your average fifteen year old girl, she is the world's top secret agent. She's been a spy for almost her whole life. Thirteen years to be exact.

Her first mission was when she was two years old. Both of her parents had recently died on the most dangerous mission of their lives. Her parents had written up a will that if and when they both died, the agency that they worked for could take guardianship of her. Of course they thought she would have been a little bit older than only two years old, but that's how it ended up.

Her first mission was simply to pose as one of two of some other agents children. She completed this mission alongside Carter Jacobson, who was also young at the time. His parents were still alive, but he lived at the agency headquarters since his parents were always on missions.

Mckennlee and Carter had worked side by side in missions and confided in each other about everything, until Mckennlee was seven and Carter was nine. That was when Carter's parents had been moved to a headquarters at the other side of the country. It was a very tragic time for both of them to have lost their closest friend slash the closest thimg to a sibling each of them had, seeing as neither Carter nor Mckennlee had siblings.

It took years for both of them to get over the fact that they had both lost their closest friend.

It was now eight years later, Carter and his parents are being transferred back to the headquarters that they had previously been with.

Switching to Mckennlee's POV for the rest of the story.

"Carter Jacobson is coming back here?" I repeat just to be sure I heard right.

"Yes, Miss Winters," Agent Karl varifies.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Of course I missed him, but now he's just a memory. I'm not even sure I still know him like I did when we were younger. I guess it doesn't matter how I feel about it, it's going to happen no matter what. I could ask to get transferred headquarters, but that would be too much hassle to avoid the inevitable.
