"Where's Lydia" Kira asked as they were all gathered up with the SATS. "She took it her freshmen year" Stiles said.

"Does that mean I could have taken it some other time" Malia asked.

"Malia, you studied harder for this than any of us" Scott said. "You made me pull an all nighter just so you were sure you would pass, and I am not a morning person" Avery said.

"Doesn't mean I'm gonna do good" Malia said. "Well," Stiles said correcting her. "Well, what" Malia asked. "It's do well not good" Avery said.

"Oh god" Malia said. "Okay, okay" Stiles said comforting her.

"You're doing this because while we're trying not to die, we still need to live if I survive high school, I'd like to go to college a good college" Scott said.

"It's only three hours we can survive three hours" Kira said. "Three hours of this prison the sooner we're out the better" Avery said.

They all went inside gave their thumbprints and took their tests before going to their seats. Avery saw Malia nervous and held her hand causing Malia to look.

"I'm right here okay just focus on me you'll do great it's us we can survive anything" Avery said and Malia smiled giving her hand a squeeze before letting go.

"Please do not open the test booklet until you are instructed to do so this test is two hours and 10 minutes there will be two 25-minute math sections and an essay writing portion that will last 30 minutes" the instructor said.

"There are supposed to be two teachers monitoring this exam" he told Natalie.

"I know it's Coach he's not exactly punctual um let me just try him again" Natalie said and left.

After a few minutes she returned back to the classroom. "I can't find him, but Mr. Yukimura is upstairs grading papers do you want me to try him" Natalie asked.

"We have to start we can ask for his assistance during the first break" the instructor told Natalie and started the timer.

"You may now open your booklets and begin" the instructor said, and they all started the test.

After a few moments Sydney fell out of her chair causing everyone to look. "Sydney" Natalie said and went to her and helped her up.

"Are you alright" Natalie asked her. "I'm okay I just got kind of dizzy" Natalie said. "Sydney how long have you had this" Natalie asked seeing the marks on her.

"I don't know" Sydney said. "Ms. Martin, do I need to stop the test" the instructor asked. "No um it's fine" Natalie said and Sydney sat back down in her chair.

"Everybody stay in your seats I'll um be back in a minute nobody leaves the room" Natalie said and took her phone leaving the classroom. 

They all went out in the hall after they heard Natalie yelling and saw she locked the door.

"Back to your seats now please" Natalie said. They all went back in the classroom with Scott closing the door behind them.

"We isolate the sick and then we wait for instructions if I'm wrong they'll be out of here pretty quickly and that I'm the crazy biology teacher who panicked for nothing" Natalie said and left leaving Scott and Avery with Sydney.

"Hey, you're gonna be okay" Scott told her. "It's not that, the PSATS, the qualifying tests for the national merit scholarship my parents can't afford to send me to college without it" Sydney said.

"Hey, I'm sure they'll let you take it again we just have to figure this all out first" Avery said and left Sydney alone with Avery going to Stiles, Malia, and Kira.

"Bet, they're thinking smallpox" Stiles said. "Not likely smallpox was eradicated worldwide in 1979 We've only managed to completely eradicate two viruses in history the other was rinderpost it killed cows" the instructor said.

"So, we should be comforted by that right" Stiles asked. "Unless it's something worse" the instructor said.

"Whatever it is they're taking it pretty seriously there's a lot of cars and trucks out there" Malia said.

"Your dad's, with them" Avery said hearing him with her super hearing.

"Hey, I should probably call him" Stiles said going to call him when the instructor stopped him.

"Don't bother they would have shut off any access to all outside communication by now no cell service, no Wi-Fi, no one starting a panic looks like we're all just going to have to wait here and see what happens" the instructor said.

Derek was at hospital waiting for Braeden to wake up when Melissa walked in, and Derek moved out of the way.

Melissa put Naloxone in her Iv. "What's that" Derek asked.

"Naloxone we need to wake her up" Melissa said. "I thought you said she needed to rest" Derek said.

"That was before I found out the CDC just put the high school under quarantine with Scott, Avery and Stiles still in there" Melissa said.

"Wait Avery" Derek said worried. Braeden suddenly woke up sitting up.

"Braeden, Braeden look at me you were shot but you're in the hospital now and you're fine" Melissa said.

"Do you understand" Melissa asked and Braeden looked at Derek then looked at Melissa and nodded.

"Good, okay, last night you were in the woods, and you came across another pack" Melissa said.

"Do you know what happened to them" Melissa asked.

"I told you they were poisoned" Derek said. "No, no they were infected it was a virus designed to kill werewolves, and it did, it killed them all" Braeden said.

"It's still happening" Mr. Yukimura said. "I can't make them go back" Malia said showing her claws. "Are you guys messing with me" Avery asked feeling completely fine.

"No Avery I promise we're not" Scott said. "You must be immune due to your witch side" Mr. Yukimura told Avery.

"The same thing happened in the Mexico with the wolfsbane before that hunter snuck up on me and knocked me out does this mean I'm immune to wolfsbane now" Avery asked. "Possibly" Mr. Yukimura said.

"Obviously the virus is affecting the two of you in a way it won't hit any human being" Mr. Yukimura told Scott and Malia.

"You guys have to stay out of sight we have to quarantine you from the quarantine" Stiles said.

"Yeah, but where I mean what if they get violent like on a full moon" Kira asked. 

"We shouldn't stay in here not in the locker room" Scott said.

"A classroom is not going to hold us" Malia said. "The basement" Kira asked. "Too many ways out" Avery said. "We need something secure somewhere nobody can find us" Scott said.

"The vault" Stiles said. "The Hale vault the Hales always have an escape route like their house there has to be another way in" Scott said.

"This is where the school sign is so the vault's got to be right about here" Scott said showing a map pointing to where the vault should be.

"I suppose if there's a second entrance it would possibly be accessible from the basement" Mr. Yukimura said. "It's probably somewhere in this hallway west corridor" Stiles said pointing.

Stiles went to fall when Avery quickly caught him. Once Avery was sure Stiles was okay, she let him go but stayed by his side to make sure he had his balance.

"Wow" Stiles said. "Not you too" Avery said. "It's happening to you too you're getting sick you all are except for Avery" Mr. Yukimura said.

"I don't feel sick" Kira said. "I think it's affecting you differently neurotically" Mr. Yukimura said and shown Kira her test.

"I found your test answers here in a pile with the others" Mr. Yukimura said.

"We better hurry" Avery said, and they all headed down to look for the vault.

"Hey guys over here" Stiles said and moved the shelf. "Look at the cracks in the wall it's like the entrance outside it only opens with claws anyone's claws right" Stiles said.

"What no that's not" Avery said and Kira quickly covered her mouth. "Um Malia, can you try" Scott asked.

"Why me" Malia asked. "I don't have control and if it doesn't work, we can get Avery to use her magic" Scott said. "Okay I'll do it but first tell me what you've been hiding from me" Malia said.

Kira removed her hand from Avery and Avery looked confused unaware of what they been hiding from Malia.

"I know you think you're trying to protect me, but I can handle it I know I'm on the list" Malia said.

"Yes" Stiles said. "So how much" Malia asked. "How much what" Stiles asked. "How much am I worth" Malia asked. "Four million" Scott said.

"Are you okay" Stiles asked. "Yeah, Scott's worth 25 Kira six they'll take you out way before me and I'll kill anyone who tries to kill Avery" Malia said.

"That's progress, that's progress" Stiles said and Malia opened the Hale vault making Avery realize what they were hiding from Malia as she waited for the perfect moment to tell her cause there was no way they would let her tell Malia she would just have to catch them by surprise.

"You didn't tell Malia bout her dad, are you kidding me" Avery said to Scott.

"We were trying to protect her" Scott said. "Protect her she deserves to know the truth Scott remember how I found out about my dad I died Scott I died in my boyfriend's arms" Avery said.

"You can't tell her" Scott said. "Well, it's a good thing you're not the boss of me" Avery said.

"You know this is where it all started" Stiles said causing Scott and Avery to look at him. "That's where the money was 117 million in bearer bonds" Stiles said.

"How do you even change bearer bonds into cash" Kira asked. "Bank I guess they let it sit here the whole-time collecting dust you know bearer bonds are basically extinct" Stiles said.

"Why does it matter" Kira asked. "You know how many problems money could solve" Avery asked.

"I'm not saying it's right but still I mean think about Stiles" Avery said. "She's right me, my dad, the Eichen house and MRI bills are crushing him" Stiles said.

"Mom does this thing she writes down all the items in our budget and how much they cost then she adds them all up and figures out how long we have until" Scott said and stopped.

"Until we lose the house" Avery said finishing for him.

"They're looking for us. Someone's going to have to go out there" Scott said.

"We need to tell her the truth about Peter before Avery tells her you know she will" Scott whispered to Stiles.

"Try to remember that Peter is the one name missing on that list which either makes him incredibly lucky with a benefactor, she finds out about him she's going to go to him, you know she is and then he's going to twist his way into her head like he does with everyone including us we let him walk around like nothing ever happened, like he's one of the good guys Scott, he's not one of the good guys If she finds out about him, she's gone that's probably what he's waiting for and if he wins, we lose" Stiles said.

"We're already losing" Scott said and they looked over to see Malia laid in Avery's lap.

"Malia, Malia" Stiles said waking her. "I gotta leave for a few okay" Stiles said. "Here" Stiles said giving her his jacket.

"Where are you going" Malia asked. "Whatever's happening it's worse for you guys that means it's not just people getting sick it's another assassin" Stiles said.

"You're coming back right" Malia asked. "Yeah, yeah I'd never leave you behind" Stiles said and kissed her forehead.

"I'm going with you" Avery said. "Avery" Stiles said. "Don't make me use my magic on you" Avery said and got up. Stiles and Avery went to leave when Malia stopped them.

"Avery, promise me you'll do whatever it takes to stay alive being without you when I was a coyote killed me" Malia said.

"I will" Avery said. Avery went to leave again but stopped and faced Malia.

"The thing their hiding from you is not how much your worth it's that your Peter Hale's daughter" Avery said and left with Stiles.

"What are you still doing here" Braeden asked Derek.

"Making sure you're okay Avery would kill me if I left without knowing you were okay and she's half witch there's a few ways she could do it" Derek told her.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door and Derek looked and saw Melissa.

"Derek, I think there's someone here you've been trying to find" Melissa said and Satomi came in.

Deaton, Derek, Satomi, and Melissa were in an empty hospital room talking about the poison that affected the werewolf Melissa tried to save.

"It a variant of canine distemper a few years ago an outbreak in Yellowstone killed 40% of the wolf population" Deaton said. "What's it going to do to our wolf population" Melissa asked.

"Well, it's been altered to infect quite a bit faster" Deaton said.

"You mean it's been weaponized" Derek asked. "It infected my whole pack" Satomi said.

"Everyone, except for you that's the real question" Deaton said. "Did you not get infected or are you immune" Deaton asked Satomi.

"Stiles you're not looking so good maybe you ought to lie down" Natalie said. "It's okay have you seen Mr. Yukimura" Stiles asked. "Yeah, he's fine he's helping the other students" Natalie said.

"Okay is Coach the only adult who got sick today" Stiles asked. "As far as I know" Natalie said.

"Why is he" Stiles started to ask but stopped. "Stiles, I think you should lie down" Natalie said.

"Yeah, no it's okay I'll be back I'll be right back" Stiles said leaving with Avery.

"Hey, holler for me if you get into trouble, I'm going to check the other classrooms see if I find anything that might help, and I mean it yell and I'm there" Avery said.

"Okay but please be careful" Stiles said and Avery nodded before they went their separate ways.

"If your pack was infected then who was doing all the shooting at the entrance to the woods" Deaton asked.

"Apparently another assassin personally I'd rather face a gun than a variant of smallpox" Satomi said. "Sounds like you're going to get plenty of chances" Melissa said and Satomi kept looking at Derek as he noticed.

"Sorry I just noticed how much you remind me of Talia I used to visit her a lot you know" Satomi said. "Do you remember me" Satomi asked.

"I remember the tea you always brought that tea that smelled terrible" Derek said. "I brought that tea as a gift your mother loved it" Satomi said.

"What kind of tea" Deaton asked. "What" Satomi said. "The tea with the smell, what kind was it" Deaton asked. "Reishi wolf purple reishi it's very rare" Satomi said.

"It's also a very powerful remedy for sickness Satomi you didn't get sick because you've been inoculated" Deaton said.

"Okay, okay how rare is it can we find it" Melissa asked.

"We don't have to my mother kept some of it it's in our vault" Derek said and Melissa left to call Rafael.

"I was wondering how that idiot got sick. I'm also wondering where your friends are since in order to get paid by the benefactor, I need to have proof they're dead" the instructor said once he realized Stiles knew he was the assassin.

"Visual confirmation" Stiles said. "Exactly" the assassin said holding a gun at Stiles.

"Still a bit feverish Mr. Stilinski" the assail said leading Stiles. "But you should know something the virus doesn't kill humans you'll get better" he said.

"So don't you think you should tell me where they are shouldn't one of you get to live" he asked.

"I think I saw them in the library, or it might've been the cafeteria it was definitely one of those two" Stiles said.

"I'm going to count to three then I'm going to kill you" the assassin said, and Stiles faced him.

"Think you can scare me" Stiles asked. "No, I think I can kill you I just thought the countdown would make it exciting one two" the assassin said. "Avery where are you" Stiles asked.

"Three" the assassin said and shot the gun only for the gun to turn around to point to him causing him to kill himself confusing Stiles, but he turned and saw Avery with an angry expression on her face with her eyes glowing before throwing the assassin a couple times to the wall.

"Okay Avery, I think you made your point" Stiles said and Avery threw him one last time.

"Would've been here sooner but I bout never got rid of Ms. Martin" Avery said and Rafael came over seeing the dead assassin.

Rafael was confused for a second. "I'm not too sure I wanna know" Rafael said. "Good choice" Avery said.

"Avery, Stiles listen I got a call from Melissa I don't know what it means she said there's an antidote it's in the vault reishi mushrooms" Rafael said. "Wait what in a vault" Stiles asked.

"It's in a jar on one of the shelves she said to tell Scott it's in the vault" Rafael said and Stiles and Avery took off heading down to the vault banging on the door.

"Scott, Scott, Scott" Avery said. "Hey Scott, Scotty in the vault in there with you it's called reishi mushrooms Scott" Stiles said.

"Scott open the door Scott come on Scott" Avery said. "Scott it's in there with you it's in a jar it's on one of the shelves Scott, Scott can you hear me" Stiles said.

"Forget this" Avery said and went to open the door with her magic when suddenly Scott opened it.

"Good timing I was about to break the door open Derek would've killed me" Avery said and hugged Scott.

Avery was leaving the school when she saw Derek waiting on her with a worried look on his face.

As soon as Derek saw her, he let out a breath of relief and ran to her. "You're okay" Derek said hugging her shaking slightly.

"Hey yeah I'm okay" Avery said and Derek pulled away from her. "Are you hurt" Derek asked checking for injuries. "Derek, Derek stop calm down you know I can't get hurt" Avery said.

Derek nodded before kissing her all over her face. "Derek, Derek, stop, stop" Avery said giggling.

"Stop" Avery said and Derek gave her a quick kiss on the lips before he eventually stopped kissing her all over.

"I was worried I thought I lost you" Derek said. "You'd have to try harder than that to lose me" Avery said and Derek smiled.

"Company" Derek said seeing Malia run over to Avery and hugged her. "Wow hey" Avery said.

"I was so worried about you" Malia said. "I'm okay I promise we still have to travel together remember" Avery said and Malia pulled away.

"Hey where are you staying tonight" Malia asked. "I've been staying with Derek since my dad or Rafael's been back" Avery said.

"You think I can crash with you guys I don't want to be alone right now and Avery thanks for telling me about Peter I just don't want to see Stiles or Scott right now" Malia said.

Avery looked at Derek who nodded. "Come on" Avery said leading Malia. "I'm going to have my hands full with you two aren't I" Derek asked.
