Noah marked out Tracy who was on the crime board. "Chimeras" Noah said. "Two dead chimeras" Stiles said. "And eight new ones" Avery said.

"So that's 10 in all" Stiles said. "I'm thinking maybe 11" Noah said and hung, up Donovan's photo.

"Our station tech guys confirmed something for me they said both the holding cell lock and cameras could have malfunctioned because of something electromagnetic" Noah said.

"You said that these guys" Noah asked showing the book. "Dread doctors" Malia said. "Are we really calling them that" Noah asked.

"So, they broke Donovan out" Derek asked. "It's how they got into Eichen isn't it" Noah said.

"Donovan's a chimera" Malia said. "Yeah" Noah said. "But is he a failure like Lucas and Tracy" Noah asked. "Only one way to find out but chances are he's dead" Avery said.

Malia went to mark him off, but Noah stopped her. "Not until I've seen a body" Noah said.

"You're uncharacteristically quiet" Noah told Stiles.

"Sorry I'm uh I'm just trying to think about it there are all teenagers right" Stiles said. "So now shouldn't we be trying to figure out why these teenagers" Stiles asked.

"If the dread doctors if they went through all that burying them, killing them, breaking one of them out of jail" Stiles said.

"They couldn't have been chosen at random" Derek said. "They had to have something in common" Malia said. "Something that made them right" Noah said.

"For the experiment" Avery added. "Something that made them special" Stiles said.

"And you're sure this book has all the answers" Derek asked. "It's the only lead we got" Avery said.

Derek sighed and picked up the book. "I don't like this" Derek said. "Join the club" Avery said and kissed his cheek. "I gotta go but I should be back tonight" Avery said.

"Please be safe I don't have a good feeling about your ex" Derek said.

"If it makes you feel any better neither do I he seems different he's not the same person at least not the one I dated" Avery said.

"I love you" Derek said seeing Avery leaving. "I love you too" Avery yelled before leaving.

"My mom's book club usually has more wine" Lydia said. "Well, they also probably don't read books that cause violent hallucinations" Stiles said.

"That's why Malia's here" Scott said. "So, none of us go running into traffic" Kira said. "Or worse" Scott said.

"Like what happened to Judy" Malia said and everyone looked at her. "Chapter 14" Malia said.

"Well, I always loved to read although I think I reached my limit with creepy mask doctor guys" Avery said. "Maybe I should have my mother read it" Lydia said grabbing a book.

"She might remember a girl with a tail leaping off the ceiling and attacking everyone" Lydia said.

"Yeah, if it works" Stiles said. "It has to" Lydia said. "What does that mean" Scott asked.

"I think I saw them when I stayed with Avery when Derek went to grab some food at the loft, and she was still asleep I may have dozed off for a second when I look at the cover of the book it's almost like" Lydia said.

"A memory trying to surface" Theo said. "Yeah" Lydia said. "Isn't that what Valack wanted when he wrote it" Kira asked.

"If they did something to me, I want to know what it is" Lydia said.

"Then let's get to reading i guess" Avery said and grabbed a book leaving with Lydia to sit down while everyone else grabbed a book and took a seat. 

After a couple moments later of reading Avery looked at Kira worriedly and saw she was struggling.

"Anyone, feel anything yet" Scott asked. "Tired" Kira said. "Hungry" Lydia said. "I think he meant the book" Theo said. Avery focused on Stiles after hearing him and Malia talking.

"What did you do to your shoulder" Malia asked. "What are you talking about" Stiles asked.

"I can smell the blood what happened" Malia asked and Avery tuned out of the conversation giving them their privacy.

Kira suddenly stopped trying to read and laid down closing her eyes. "Kira" Avery said worried.

"Are you okay" Avery asked. "Yeah, I'm fine I just need a moment" Kira said. "You're not giving up are you" Scott asked Kira. "Just resting my eyes" Kira said.

Soon enough everyone fell asleep, and Avery was leaned against Lydia with Lydia doing the same to Avery.

After getting instructions from Scott Theo took Avery home and softly knocked on the door.

Derek answered the door and saw Theo holding Avery in his arms. "She fell asleep at the house thought I'd bring her home Scott says she mostly stays here with you" Theo said.

"She is my fiancée, but we used to switch off from here to her place until we just started staying here more" Derek said taking Avery from Theo being careful not to wake her" Derek said.

"You must be Derek" Theo said and Derek stayed silent.

"You're lucky you know Avery doesn't just fall in love with anyone and when she loves, she loves hard" Theo said.

"I did love her you know and when I broke up with her it was the worst thing, I ever done but I had to" Theo said after a moment.

"You do realize Avery tells me everything right she didn't want to tell me about you but she didn't want to keep anything from me especially with us getting married so before I left to visit my sister she told me about this guy who took her virginity her first love and the person who ended it with her over a letter I never knew your name not until recently" Derek said and Theo stayed silent.

"The only reason why you're still alive is because of her remember that" Derek said and went in the loft closing the door behind him.

"What if we need some kind of trigger wasn't Malia driving when she remembered the crash" Scott asked.

"Yeah, but how are we supposed to trigger a memory that we don't remember" Stiles asked.

"Maybe it's a delayed thing maybe you have to wait a couple of hours to see what happens" Scott said and the lights flickered.

"Okay I know I'm new to this witch thing but that wasn't me" Avery said and looked at Kira with Scott and Stiles.

"That wasn't me I swear" Kira said. "We keep an eye on each other today okay" Scott said.

"Yes; and keep an eye out for eight other potentially homicidal Chimeras" Stiles said. "And keep an eye out for the dread doctors" Kira said.

"Starting to see the appeal of a third eye" Stiles said and they all went their separate ways.

Avery was at her locker when she happened to look outside and recognized something.

Avery walked outside and saw a man. The same man who she saw when she died before coming back as a werewitch. She saw her mother walk to him and the man bent down and kissed her stomach. She saw how happy her mother seemed to be. Suddenly she snapped out of it when Malia shook her arm seeing she was out of it. "Avery" Malia said, and Avery looked at her.

"Malia" Avery said confused and looked around. "Are you okay" Malia asked. "I uh I think I discovered a lost memory" Avery said. "What" Malia said.

"Nothing about the dread doctors but I think I discovered a memory about my dad my birth dad possibly the only memory I have of him" Avery said.

"Avery are you sure you're okay" Malia asked worried.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine I promise" Avery said. "Good because there's no way I'm losing you I'd die before I ever lost you" Malia said and Avery smiled.

"Lydia are you okay" Scott asked and Avery held her shaking hand helping her to sit on a chair.

"I'm okay, I'm fine" Lydia said. "You remembered something" Theo said and Lydia nodded. "Not about the dread doctors nothing about them or the surgery" Lydia said.

"What was it" Scott asked. "Okay I know you want to know what's going on but let her breath for a moment" Avery said.

"No im fine promise" Lydia told Avery. "My grandmother at Eichen House" Lydia told Scott.

"Lydia, Lydia" Natalie said and walked in the room seeing Lydia sat on the chair.

"Oh my god what happened are you alright" Natalie asked making her way to Lydia. "Mom I'm fine it was nothing" Lydia said. "Was it a blackout did you faint" Natalie asked.

"Yeah, yeah I fainted mom I'm fine I promise" Lydia said.
