"Lyds we're here why didn't call for us to come" Avery asked as she and Derek walked to Lydia before noticing Gerard. "Oh, never mind" Avery said seeing Gerard.

"I wouldn't want to be in a room with baldy either I mean Argent I like he's okay and he wouldn't let baldy hurt you, but you could always use more backup" Avery said. 

Lydia shook her head smiling at Avery. "Can't wait till she's your wife still" Lydia asked Derek.

"I'm so close to just eloping her this second" Derek said. "Well go on tell your story" Avery told Gerard.

Gerard glared at her before telling the story of the beast.

"That letter would eventually find its way into the hands of a young woman a skilled hunter who would later face the beast armed with nothing but a steel tipped pike she would be known by history as the maid of Gevaudan, but her real name was Marie Jeanne" Gerard said and shown Parrish a page in the book.

"Maybe someone should resurrect her" Parrish said. "Don't leave" Lydia told Parrish.

"My dreams aren't like yours Lydia I'm not just a harbinger of death I'm the cause of it" Parrish said and left.

"Jordan" Lydia said going to go after him but Gerard stopped him. "Let him go" Gerard said.

"Why don't we need him" Avery asked. "Because as much as we believe Parrish could take on the beast neither of us think he's our only hope at stopping it" Argent said.

"What do you mean" Derek asked. "We think there's another" Argent said. "You" Gerard said to Lydia.

"Why didn't he warn her" Lydia asked. "He told her about everything that they'd seen during the war but like I said Marie Jeanne was a skeptic" Gerard said and told how they searched for the beast.

"They searched from dawn to dusk hoping to find the beast where it slept but they knew they'd most likely only encounter it at nightfall it was just after midnight when the first touch went out" Gerard said before telling the story of how Marie Jeanne was saved from the beast.

"Lydia" Derek said worried. "Something's happening" Lydia said. "Now" Argent asked.

"I don't know but something's wrong I can't stay here" Lydia said. "Derek and I will go with you" Avery said. "You should hear the rest of the story" Gerard said.

"Why should I be listening to you" Lydia asked. "He knows it better than any of us" Argent said.

"Everything I've read says that the beast was killed by Jean Chastel" Lydia said. "Who told you that the internet" Gerard asked.

"If that's your most reliable source of information then you might as well go" Gerard said. "What happened next" Lydia asked after a moment.

"Henri brought Marie Jeanne to his home a place protected by a circle of mountain ash trees" Gerard said and told the story of how Henri taught Marie Jeanne about the beast.

"Marie Jeanne knew she couldn't just take out another hunting party armed with mistletoe and rowan berries she needed an advantage she needed to know her enemy" Gerard said and told how she found out her brother was the best and not Marcel.

"Marie Jeanne confronted her brother the moment she walked into the Tarvern" Gerard said and told how Marie Jeanne saw her brother in his beast form.

"The skeptic became a full believer that night so Marie Jeanne went back to Henri to figure out how to kill both a beast and a brother" Gerard said.

"Damnatio Memoriae" Avery said. "They erased every detail of him everything he signed everything he owned" Argent said.

"They burned it all the name Sebastian Valet has been forgotten for over 150 years but when it's remembered" Gerard said. "When the beast remembers the teenager inside is forgotten" Argent said.

"Gone forever" Gerard said. "But Marie Jeanne didn't do it alone" Derek said.

"She was never alone she had help from Henri, the magistrate, the town even Marcel we need Parrish I'm going to go find him" Lydia said.

"Lydia he's dangerous he's still a shapeshifter and one who's just beginning to understand his power" Argent said. "And I'm not" Lydia asked.

"You're not the same you access the supernatural it works through you" Argent said.

"But it doesn't control you" Gerard said. "How would you know" Avery asked. "Why do you care" Lydia asked. "And why are you suddenly in our side" Derek asked.

"Because it's my name as well Mari Jeanne never left Henri after the death of her brother and their relationship became more than a partnership they married and she took his name" Gerard said.

"Argent" Lydia said. "Marie Jeanne was the first hunter" Argent said.

"Our name will be remembered as well Lydia for killing the beast" Gerard said. "But I'm not an Argent and I'm not Allison" Lydia said.

"She's Lydia Martin one of my best friends and the best person I know so stop treating her like she's someone she's not" Avery said. "Come on Lyds" Avery said leaving with Derek and Lydia followed them.
