Beasts and Hellhounds

(Episode 13 -20)

"So, what did he want" Stiles asked once Scott made his way to him while Avery helped Stiles with the flashlight. "To help" Scott said. "You gonna let him" Stiles asked.

"Could use his help" Avery said. "Eventually I guess" Scott said.

"Okay but shouldn't he be a little higher on your priority list right now" Stiles asked. "I mean since he's the only other actual werewolf your only other actual beta" Stiles said.

"If we're being technical, he's the only beta Scott turned" Avery said.

"You didn't see the way that he came at me you didn't see the look on his eyes" Scott said.

"Okay but we had that same look when we were just starting out it's not like you're any better bro" Avery said.

"I've been with you on a full moon, so I've seen that look you want to get the band back together Scott you don't leave out the drummer" Stiles said.

Stiles started the car. "Success" Scott said. "Good we can get going" Derek said coming over.

"Derek seriously" Avery said. "You are my fiancée and you're going to save Kira from skinwalkers witch or not you could get hurt I'm going" Derek said and got in the backseat. "Guess he's going" Avery said sitting next to him.

Stiles and Scott then got in the front and Avery, Scott, and Derek noticed the jeep full of tanks.

"It's a minor leak very minor" Stiles said. "Probably would've been easier just to take Derek's car" Avery said and drove off.

"Man, I think the jeep's overheating again" Scott said. "Probably" Stiles said. "Should've taken my car like Avery said instead of this train wreck" Derek said.

"Should we pull over and put more antifreeze in it" Scott asked. "No, we can just turn the heat on" Stiles said doing so. "You find anything yet" Stiles asked Scott.

"They're mostly the same stuff you already knew" Scott told him.

"Care to enlighten us" Avery asked leaning into Derek who put his arm around her. "I hate road trips" Avery said.

"Damnito memoriae was a Roman practice a government decree to destroy the images of the damned and they would scratch off their names from inscriptions chisel their face off of statues the Romans believed it was a punishment worse than death" Scott said.

"Being forgotten" Derek said. "Listen to this Damnatio Memoriae was later used on a serial killer in 1598 known as the demon tailor he lured children into his shop in Paris where he would kill them and boil their flesh of their bones to eat" Scott said.

"Well, there goes my appetite" Avery said. "The courts believed the crimes so horrible they ordered all the documents destroyed to this day no one knows his real name" Scott said.

"So, the dread doctors resurrected a killer who was so bad that he had to literally be erased from history" Stiles said.

"A killer that became a werewolf" Derek said. "Which probably made him a better killer that's great" Stiles said and sped up.

"You still not talking to Malia" Scott asked Stiles. "Uh she's not talking to me or anyone I guess" Stiles said. "Avery, has she spoken to you she is your best friend" Scott asked.

"Not recently" Avery said. "Derek" Scott asked. "Not a word" Derek said. "I think I know why I think she found her mother" Scott said.

"Her mother as in the desert wolf" Stiles asked. "Yeah" Scott said.

"I knew she was still looking she erased her name off my board, but I just knew she never stopped" Stiles said. "When I was at her house, I'm pretty sure Braeden was there too" Scott said.

"Braeden" Avery asked. "What did you catch her scent" Stiles asked.

"Actually, it was her motorcycle I smelled her exhaust" Scott said. "What do you think they're gonna do" Stiles asked.

"Something that Malia doesn't want to tell us about so probably something bad" Scott said.

"Not probably most likely" Derek said as he, Avery, and Stiles noticed Scott's facial expression. "Oh my god you already know don't you it's like the chemo signals right" Stiles asked.

"Aggression" Scott said. "How much" Stiles asked. "I think she's gonna kill her she's gonna kill her mother" Scott said.

"What's happening" Scott asked hearing the engine.

"Yeah, we're out of gas it's out of gas" Stiles said. "It says we have half a tank" Derek said. "Yeah, not necessarily" Stiles said.

"You didn't fix the gas gauge did you" Avery asked. "Not necessarily" Stiles said, and Scott pulled over.

"Locked" Stiles said after trying to get in the gas station.

"Just leave it by the door or something it's not like we need in there" Avery said.

Scott broke the chains on the gas tank. "You got a twenty" Stiles asked but got no answer and put the money in the door before heading back to Scott, Avery, and Derek.

Stiles and Scott started to fill up the tank that they brought.

Once they filled it, they closed the lid and Stiles broke the silence. "There was a pin there was one little metal pin attached to the scaffolding he was trying to pull me down" Stiles said.

"He was trying to kill you" Derek said. "Yes, and then I pulled the pin, and all these metal braces came down and one of them just, just went right through him" Stiles said.

"Why didn't you think you could tell me" Scott asked. "Or me" Avery said.

"It was just the way you were looking at me that night you know you're just standing there with a wrench in your hand you're looking at me like I just bashed you in the head with it you know like I'd broken your sacred rule and that's it there's no going back and as for Avery I just didn't want her to worry I didn't want her involved" Stiles said.

"I know the difference" Scott said. "What" Stiles said. "I know what self-defense is" Scott said.

"We should get back to the car and go get Kira" Avery said heading to the car with Derek with Scott and Stiles following them.

"Scott, Avery" Stiles said waking them up. "Take a look at this" Stiles said seeing the scene and they looked.

"What do you think's happening to her out there" Stiles asked. "No idea" Avery said. "Derek baby" Avery said waking him.

"Look" Avery said and shown him. "That can't be good" Derek said and Stiles sped up.

"I don't know why I believed him I don't know why we didn't just keep talking that night five more minutes and we would've figured out there were two different stories we would've filled a lot of blanks should've just kept talking" Scott said.

"He knew we wouldn't" Stiles said. "I didn't want it to happen like this" Scott said. "Like what" Stiles asked.

"I knew sooner or later one of us was going to get a little too much blood on our hands I half thought it was gonna be Malia" Scott said.

"Well, she definitely seems like she's working on it" Stiles said.

"Just always thought that if it were to happen then it should be me, I'm the one who's constantly putting you guys in danger risking your lives for people you don't even know it should've been me" Scott said.

"Come on we only got a few hours to sunrise come on let's go" Stiles said leaving.

Scott went to join but then saw the scene. "Stiles do you see that" Scott asked. "It's Kira" Scott said motioning to the scene.

Just as the skinwalkers were about to take Kira, Stiles pulled up to Kira and Noshiko and parked the jeep.

Scott and Avery got out of the jeep and roared at them. "Get in" Stiles told Kira and Noshiko.

Kira got in and sat in the back. "Come on" Stiles said. Scott got in and sat on Kira's other side.

"Come on, come on let's go" Stiles said. A skinwalker went to throw an arrow when Avery stopped in throwing lighting it on fire with her magic.

"Come on, come on, come on" Stiles said and Noshiko got in with Avery and Stiles drove off.

"Everyone okay" Stiles asked and Noshiko nodded. "You came back for me" Kira said to Scott.

"I love you so much" Kira said and kissed Scott and Avery leaned into Derek smiling at them.
