Werewolves and Hunters

(Episode 1-12)

Summary

Avery Delgado and Scott McCall siblings and best friends well for the most part anyways.

Avery and Scott may be related but they're completely different sometimes it's hard to believe they're related.

So, when they go with their best friend Stiles Stilinski to look for a dead body everything changes with just one bite. Not only does Scott get bit but so does Avery.

Once Avery meets Derek, she can't help but fall for the gorgeous man the instant she meets him almost like it was her destiny to find him.

Avery and Scott were at home while Avery was reading one of her many books that she has reread more than once *in 27 days* while Scott was fixing his lacrosse stick.

They both suddenly heard a noise and went outside to see what it was. Avery noticed Scott had a bat as they went closer when Stiles appeared upside down from a tree as they all screamed.

"Stiles what are you doing" Scott asked. "You weren't answering your phone Avery wasn't either" Stiles said.

"Probably because I was in reading mode" Avery said. "Why do you have a bat" Stiles asked Scott. "I thought you were a predator" Scott said.

"A pre- I what, look I know it's late but you gotta hear this I saw my dad leave 20 minutes ago dispatch called they're bringing in every officer from the Beacon Department and even state police" Stiles said.

"So, you were eavesdropping" Avery said. "Must you ruin it" Stiles asked. "I must" Avery said.

"For what" Scott asked going back to the previous subject. "Two joggers found a body in the woods" Stiles said jumping down from the tree. 

"A dead body" Scott asked. "Obviously" Avery said. "No, a body of water yes a dead body" Stiles said. "No need to use sarcasm even though Scott is slow" Avery said.

"You mean like murdered" Scott asked. "Nobody knows yet just that it was a girl probably in her 20s" Stiles said.

"Hold on if they found the body then what are they looking for" Scott asked. 

"That's the best part they only found half" Stiles said. "Well, this just got interesting" Avery said. "We're going" Stiles said.

"We're seriously doing this" Scott asked as he, Avery, and Stiles got out of the jeep and started heading into the woods. "Says the guy who complains about nothing ever happens in this town" Avery said.

"I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow" Scott said.

"Right cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort" Stiles said. "No because I'm playing this year in fact, I'm making first line" Scott said. "Good luck with that bro" Avery said.

"Hey that's the spirit everyone should have a dream even a pathetically unrealistic one" Stiles said. "Just out of curiosity which half of the body are we looking for" Scott asked.

"Huh I didn't even think about that" Stiles said. "And uh what if whoever killed the body is still out here" Scott asked.

"Also, something I didn't think about" Stiles said. "It's comforting to know you've planned this out with your usual attention to detail" Scott said. "I know" Stiles said.

"Maybe the severe asthmatic should be the one holding the flashlight huh" Scott said slowing down to use his inhaler.

Soon enough Scott and Avery bent down next to Stiles. "Wait come on" Stiles said taking off running and Avery and Scott got up. "Idiot" Avery said, and she and Scott took off running after Stiles.

"Stiles wait up Stiles, Stiles" Scott said. "Hold it right there" the cop said to Stiles. and Avery and Scott quickly hid behind the tree.

"Hang on, hang on this little delinquent belongs to me" Noah said making his way to Stiles.

"Dad how are you doing" Stiles asked. "So do you uh listen in all of my phone calls" Noah asked. "No heh not the boring ones" Stiles said. "Now where's your two other partners in crime" Noah asked.

"Who Scott and Avery they're home Scott said he wanted to get a good night's sleep for the first day back at school tomorrow and Avery was reading I think, it's just me alone" Stiles said.

Noah had flashed his light behind Stiles not believing him and Scott and Avery hid more behind the tree.

"Scott, Avery you out there Scott, Avery" Noah said and then faced Stiles.

"Well young man I'm gonna walk you back to your car and you and I are gonna have a conversation about something called invasion of privacy" Noah said leaving with Stiles.

Avery and Scott were still in the woods heading home when they got trampled by deer causing Scott to lose his inhaler.

Once they had disappeared Scott and Avery had gotten up. "My inhaler" Scott said. "Let's look for it and get out of here something is causing the animals to go wild" Avery said and Scott nodded.

They both were now looking for Scott's inhaler when suddenly Scott fell of the cliff and Avery heard him scream.

"Scott, Scott" Avery said before sliding down the cliff. "Scott" Avery said and then she saw a huge animal coming towards her and she started running.

He had knocked her down and bit her as she screamed. She eventually had got away and caught up with Scott. "There you are" Avery said and she saw his wound.

"He got you too" Avery asked. "Too, wait he got you as well" Scott asked. "Yeah" Avery said. "We should go home in case he comes back" Scott said and Avery nodded.

Avery and Scott had made it to school the next day with Jackson driving Avery to school being the only McCall he likes along with her being his girlfriend's best friend while Scott just took his bike.

Jackson and Avery had gotten out of the car and Avery made her way to Scott.

"Dude watch the paint job" Jackson told Scott. "Yo Jackson let's go bro" Danny said. "Why do you hang out with him" Scott asked.

"Sometimes I ask myself the same thing" Avery said as they made their way to Stiles. "Okay let's see this thing" Stiles said and Avery and Scott shown him the wound.

"Ooh" Stiles said and went to touch it when Avery slapped his hand away.

"It's still sore idiot" Avery said. "It was too dark to see much but I'm pretty sure it was a wolf" Scott said. "A giant wolf most likely" Avery said. "A wolf bit you guys" Stiles asked. "Uh huh" Scott said. "No not a chance" Stiles said.

"I heard a wolf howling" Scott said. "And he looked like a wolf to me" Avery added. "No, you didn't" Stiles told the two siblings. 

"What do you mean no we didn't how do you know what we heard" Scott asked.

"Because California doesn't have wolves okay not in like 60 years" Stiles said. "Really" Scott asked. "Yes, really there are no wolves in the county" Stiles said.

"Well, I still believe it was a wolf" Avery said. "Alright well if you don't believe us about the wolf then you're definitely not gonna believe me about when I tell you I found the body" Scott said.

"Wait you found the body" Avery asked. "Yeah" Scott said. "Are you kidding me" Stiles asked.

"No man I wish I'm gonna have nightmares for a month" Scott said. "Better you then me" Avery said.

"This is freaking awesome I mean this is seriously gonna be the best thing that's happened to this town since the birth of Lydia Martin" Stiles said and Lydia grabbed Avery's arm and they left together.

"As you all know there indeed was a body found in the woods last night and I am sure your eager little minds are coming up with various macabre scenarios as to what happened but I am here to tell you that the police have a suspect in custody which means you can give your undivided attention to the syllabus which is on your desk outlining this semester" Mr. Curtis said and everyone did.

Suddenly Avery and Scott heard ringing and when they looked it was no one's phone and then they heard voices so when they looked outside, they saw a new student.

Avery had gone back to her work shaking it off when the vice principal came in.

"Class this is our new student Allison Argent please do your best to make her feel welcome" the vice principal said, and Allison sat behind Scott.

The vice principal had left, and Scott gave Allison a pen. "Thanks" Allison said, and he turned around while Allison looked confused how he knew she needed one.

Lydia and Avery made their way to Allison who was at her locker. "That jacket is absolutely killer" Lydia said admiring Allison's jacket.

"Where'd you get it" Lydia asked. "My mom was a buyer for a boutique back in San Francisco" Allison said. "And you are our new best friend" Lydia said. "Not mine I have enough friends" Avery said.

"Don't mind her she's kidding" Lydia said. "No, I'm not" Avery said.

"She'll warm up to you" Lydia said. "No, I won't" Avery said. "Work with me here" Lydia told Avery when Jackson walked up to them.

"Hey Jackson" Lydia said and they kissed. "Get a room" Avery said and Lydia pulled away rolling her eyes before noticing Avery's wound that was showing a little bit before Avery fixed it.

"Oh, that looks nasty what happened" Lydia asked. "Some animal bit me" Avery said and Lydia nodded.

"So, this weekend there's a party" Lydia told Allison. "A party" Allison asked. "Yeah, Friday night you should come" Jackson said.

"Uh I can't it's family night this Friday thanks for asking" Allison said. "You sure everyone's going after the scrimmage" Jackson said. "You mean like football" Allison asked.

"Football's a joke in Beacon Hills the sport here is Lacrosse we've won the state championship for the last three years" Jackson said.

"Because of a certain team captain" Lydia said. "Well, we have practice in a few minutes that is if you don't have anywhere else" Jackson said. "Well, I was going to" Allison said.

"Perfect you're coming" Lydia said grabbing her arm. "Yeah, I'm gonna pass considering lacrosse isn't really my thing" Avery said and Lydia nodded leaving with Allison and Jackson.

Soon enough it was time for the party and Avery had arrived before Scott and Allison did. Lydia had gone over to her. "You made it" Lydia said.

"Yeah but, remember I'm only here for you I rather be at home reading a book or even watching new moon so I can see Jacob shirtless" Avery said.

"Doesn't matter you're still here" Lydia said and then Avery saw Jackson. "There's Jackson" Avery said and Lydia went to him.

Soon enough Scott arrived with Allison and Avery rolled her eyes. "Really her I don't trust her" Avery said to herself. After a while at the party Avery decided she had enough and started walking home when all of a sudden, the moon started affecting her.

She had started to run when she fell to the ground with her claws out and her eyes glowing. A mysterious man had gone up to her and looked at her. She had looked at him scared.

"What's happening to me" Avery asked. "You're turning into a werewolf" the mysterious man said. "A werewolf" Avery asked.

"Yes, believe it or not they're real see" he said and glowed his eyes for a split second. "And if you let me, I can help you" he said offering his hand. "Who are you" Avery asked.

"Derek, Derek Hale" the mysterious man said. "Avery Delgado" Avery said taking his hand as he helped her up and for a moment, they just stared into each other's eyes feeling like they were meant to be together.

Soon enough they both had snapped out of it. "Come on we need to go there's hunters out here I'll explain everything once I take you home" Derek said and Avery nodded leaving with him.
