Axel x Olivia (Thoughts)

I lyke diz-

Axel had endless respect for Olivia.

Even at the times he couldn't keep up with her will to produce, he'd try to cope with her, maybe make himself useful here and there. Not like he ever managed to, but Olivia appreciated him for making the effort.

He clearly wasn't into it and Order scolded him a lot for not taking things serious enough, however Axel always had an excuse. Trying to keep the spirits high always worked, others would get tired of arguing with him and most likely drop the subject. Just like that, other than liking her sarcastic, technical personality, only thing the bulky man wanted was seeing Olivia smile more, seperate her from all the stress and the same rythm everyday.

His eyes scoted toward the sunlight reflecting on Olivia's darker figure. She did remind Axel of his mom, always one step ahead, knowledged and deliberate. She'd always chide him for his destructive behavior, trying to get a handle on him, if not cleaning behind his mess.

His dad, Kevin, on the other hand was opposite, encouriging to take bigger steps to push his curiosity further. Axel's parents would argue over it quite often, yet they were small disagreements. His mom learnt to accept it as he preffered to hang out with his father, even though she wouldn't stop trying to 'fix' his additude here and there.

On their parents 13th anniversary, home alone, Axel remembered jumping in a shopping cart and trying to get through the window. He ended up getting stuck until his parents hit home, his mom barely keeping Kevin from exploding the wall to get Axel out.

Man, he needed to visit them soon. They sure teach him a lot, he was familiar with 'opposites attract' which boosted his confidence about making a move on Olivia in the first place. He knew their relationship could be as healthy as his parents.

"Wo-how, what's up with all these?"

Searching around the table covered with books all size and width, Axel sneakily flipped through the pages. Nearly all of them concerned redstone, also complex scientific stuff, the kind that would hurt Axel's brain.

Numbers. They haven't been the best company for him.

"Don't touch them Axel."

Not bothering to look up, Olivia untied a bag full of redstone dust, she'd recognize the owner of that goofy voice anywhere, much to her annoyance. God knows what was he up to this time.

"What? Do these guys have to stay in their particular place? I mean, why?

"You ask too many questions." An ear scratching glass sound followed Olivia cursing under her breath, whom tried sticking the fallen pieces together in hurry. "That's Larowan 3000, you can say, my future project for battling against zombies or creepers or, you know. I figured it would be useful considering zombies almost broke down the ladders last week.

System locks the arrows in glass, pistons pushes the lava, it reaches to the tip without burning the arrows thanks to the glass, and shoot. Burn the mobs down with ease."

"With.. ease?"

"...So yes, to make this complicated machine I need those instructions to stay in their exact same milimetres."

He rolled his sleeve, trying to catch up with the extra information coming from the engineer woman.

"Man, who needs that thing when you can just blow up your enemies, plus, with just two tools!"

"Safety, Axel."

He scuffed, tapping glass bottles despite Olivia's warnings. "But battles are all about fun!"

"Redstone is fun" Olivia backed away, grabbing one of the bottles filled with a green substance before flipping one of her curls back. "Let me show you."

"Um, no thanks."

"Come on, trust me."

Hesitant, he moved, as long as it's fire he was all up for it. While his pure black eyes wandered around the hot death machine, Olivia let a tiny amount of substance fall into it, getting lost from human eye and being absorbed, sizzling sound came not too long after.

Axel did not expect it all to explode on his face.

He could hear the girl was laughing. At his face. Black, dusty, face. How funny. Good thing he felt panicked enough to worry about her.

"Axel, calm down."

He threw both hands in air, screeching lauder than a fork gliding the surface of a metal pan, he kept rambling inaudible things Olivia had to make huge efforts to get.

"Am I gonna die?!"

Her nerves were creeping up. It would reach a peek, higher than mountain Everest if he kept bumping his butt all over her workspace.

Stupid guy.

The only reason Olivia to put up with him was possibly his humor, it kept her going through overwhelming stuff before such as work. For record, she definitely remembers how much it helped when Jesse and Petra wouldn't stop bickering, at times Ivor would get on everyone's nerves or even Olivia herself, could make a bad combination after hanging around with Lukas for too much, Axel would be the only one keeping them exploding from OCD.

No, she haven't been angry with him for breaking Jesse's Jack o' Lantern that he was so proud of, not because obsessively exploding stuff in treehouse. That irresponsible guy could be the replica of a sloth when it comes to putting effort in a job. His careless nature caused trouble to the team many times before, including himself which Olivia hated seeing.

She let out a sigh, her narrowed spirit having to keep up with Axel freaking out in the background.

Damn. He was like a kid. Axel could be as stubborn, irritating and pain in the butt even worse than a toddler.

Yet she couldn't deny that's what's good about him. He would confess shortly after lying, his honesty has been a big plus to his personality.

No one could deny he was pure, at least in some perspectives, the look he gives after eating some shits, his goofiness. He was undeniably cute sometimes. Olivia had to make the biggest efforts to hide that thoughts.

Once Axel managed to calm down, there was left several broken generators, all books bent at the floor and the whole area messed up -which ticked off Olivia even more, the room being so small that a horse could barely fit didn't help- her eyes were twitching.

"I.. should be the one pranking others." Axel managed to say, out of breath.

"And why's that?"

"You're not good at it!" He wiped the dust off on one sleeve, making Olivia cringe. "A prank's gotta make them suffer! You know, the time I put tacky glue on the thing blong guy uses? To fix his hair and stuff."

"Tacky glue? Axel, Lukas tried to cut his hair off- he was depressed for weeks. Poor guy would've made you eat that if he found out you were the one putting glue on his gel."

"Whatever. He's probably busy writing some fanfics~"

Olivia snorted, laying a white cloth on her invention before leaning to the dusty counter, arms crossed. Her dark skin glowed under the sunset she had been craving to watch ever since she started the project.

"Do you remember that overly dramatic romance story of him and Jesse?"

"Oh yeah- I'd totally pay a thousand dollars to see his face again once Jesse found it."

Laughter following silence, almost deafening.

"Crazy how the time goes on, huh big guy?"

"Well, yeah."

Axel would never forget him and Olivia quibble, trying to waste time as the rest of the order were portal-hopping, Axel compelling the girl to play monopoly with him, -since he had poor vocabulary, playing taboo wouldn't be an option- the respect and love building between them by the time no one could interrupt.

They both appreciated having conflicting personalities, it sure did leave time and personal space of their own, making their relationship stronger, a bit more unbreakable.

It was one of those times, Olivia had a project to finish and Axel had way much of this drama. He wouldn't stop complaining as she shooed him away, she had a project to finish.

Lazy ass ending of a oneshot I know-
