At sunset, Lukas and Jessie were sitting on the beach barefoot. Their shoes a couple meters away from them, Jessie’s glassed in her shoes.

“Can you get them to write it out in steps?” She asked him.

“No, I-I don’t think it’s just about the dancing. When they fuse they glow and kind of… faze into each other. I don’t know if I can even do that,” Lukas explained

“Well, I think it’s amazing that you could dance with them at all. I could NEVER do that,”

Huh? What do you mean?”

“I’ve… never danced in front of anyone before,” Jessie looked down at her hands.

“Really?”

“Yeah, there was a dance at my school and I was really excited by it, but… I just couldn’t bring myself to go… I just couldn’t stop thinking about everyone staring at me,”

“Well… no one’s staring right now…,“ Jessie’s head shot up and looked at Lukas in shock. Lukas was staring at her with a silly grin on his face.

“Um… you are,”

“Oh…,” he looked away, his cheeks begined to flare a light pink. “Yeah… one sec,” he pulled out his phone from his pocket and selected some music. He stuck his phone in the sand, the music beginning to play. “So, what I was trying to say was.,” he held one hand over his eyes and his other out, “Come dance with me,”

Jessie thought for a second and placed her hand hand on Lukass. Lukas moved his hand from his eyes. He held Jessie's other hand and pulled her closer. She let out a slight chuckle.

They began dances and Lukas spun Jessie and let her hand go. He chuckled and moved backwards and started freestyling. She smiled and began freestyling too.

They gradually moved closer. Jessie stuck out her arms like she was an airplane. Lukas placed his hands together over his head as he was a rocket. Running in circles, the two collided and Lukas tripped. Jessie grabbed him before he could hit the ground. They stared into each other's eyes, their faces flaring pink.

They laughed and disappeared into a ball of light

A fair-skinned figure emerged from the ball of light.

The figure had shoulder length ebony hair with blonde on the edge, Jessie's overalls Lukas's jacket, and a red and white striped shirt.

“Why am I--,” the figure spoke. They picked up Lukas’s sandal and held it next to their foot. “Why is your sandal too small for my-- your feet…,” they put down the sandal and ran their arm up their legs to their torso.

“Lukas! Jessie!” They spoke, putting their hands on their head in shock. They smiled. “I-I did it. Okay. Wait,” they struggle to stand up “This. No. This is… GREAT! Oh my… gosh. Look at you now,” They examined their new body. They stood in a serious pose for a couple seconds “I’m a fusion,” They laughed and ran with their arms in the air and tripped.

“I have to show everybody.” They stood up.

Back in the temple Jetra, Olivia and Axel were looking at them in shock.

“Pretty cool right?” They asked

“He fused, with his friend Jessie?” Olivia began studying them.

Axel turned around to see how Jetra was holding up. He started laughing and got Olivia's attention. “Olivia, look at Jetra”

Olivia turned around to look at her. Jetra had her hand put together and a huge grin on her face. Olivia turned back to the figure and continued studying it. “This is unprecedented. A gem fusing with a human being? I-it’s impossible. Or in the very least inappropriate.

Axel walked up to them. “Wow,” she laughed “You two look GREAT together. How does it feel Lukas? Jessie? Lukessie?”

“It feels amazing” Lukessie replied

“Yes, well,” Olivia interrupted “I’m glad you enjoy yourselves, but you two should unfuse this instance”

“Wait, what? Olivia, you were so worried Lukas wouldn’t be able to do this. Aren’t you proud of him?”

“Of course I am. I-- Jetra, help me out here,” She turn toward Jetra.

“Lukessie,” Jetra walked towards them. “Listen to me,” She put her hands on her face while Olivia and Axel walked the opposite direction.  “You are no two people. And you are not one person. You… are and EXPERIENCE. Make sure, your a good experience. Now, go, Have, FUN!”
