Garroth's PoV

I opened my eyes, looking down at my beauty of a wife in her peaceful slumber. I carefully stepped out of bed and downstairs. The normal schedule, make breakfast, leave some for Aph, Levin, Malachi and prepare a bottle of milk for Lu. After doing all that, I grabbed my armor, shield, sword and headed out.

The moon bid farewell, making way for the sun. I went up to the guard tower and waited a bit, so everyone could get a chance to get here.

Nicole - ✔️..?
Will - ✔️
(Crap I just realized there are only three guards.. Then Nicole and Will.) I assigned everyone their stations and headed to mine. The guard tower by the docks overlooking the wheat farms, and mine and Aphmau's house. I was completely bored, so I decided to watch the house and think for a while.

A few hours passed, and I finally had the joy of seeing my wife and children walk out of the house, straight onto the small playground. Zoey stayed, watching the kids, with the help of Cadenza; I guess it was her turn. Aphmau bid farewell to them, and started her daily rounds. At one point, she went out of sight, so I decided to think for a bit. 'The Zenith of Darkness, huh? The highest point of darkness.. I guess.. Laurance is gonna be affected by this, although we're still waiting for responses--'

"Hi!" I whirled around to see none other than the lady of Phoenix Drop herself.

"Hey babe," I gave her a smile and a short peck on the lips.

"How's life going for ya?" She sat down at a table, resting her chin on her palm.

"Life is great, considering you're here now." I continued to look, admiring the scenery of the wonderful town I called home.

"Welp, there's the two minutes, I hope you've enjoyed my company." She grinned adorably, and headed down the ladder.

"Hey! Wait don't--" she was already down. "Ah, forget it. Why do you have to be so cute?"

-Later-

I continued watching, and, thankfully, it was.. Boring. Yep. I said 'thankfully'. Little did I know, that 'boringness' would come to a stop, entering a new age of excitement.. And danger.

"GARROTH!" Laurance called from the doors of the tower. I quickly made my way down, as he yelled, "IT'S LUMINA!"

"WHAT?" As soon as I heard my baby girl's name, I bolted straight towards the house on the hill; my house.

I nearly fainted. Lumina was being held by her leg, crying at the top of her little lungs, and the one who carried her was none other than...

Zenix.

"ZENIX, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING WITH MY DAUGHTER?" I didn't care who heard me curse, this was my daughter we're talking about. Someone almost more precious than life itself, besides Aphmau, there wasn't anyone who was more important. Levin and Malachi of course, but.. Lumina. She had mine and Aphmau's blood running through her veins.

"HELLO, MENTOR!" Zenix cackled, making black lightning crackle in the air. Something about him..

There was friction in the air, tension, a layer of pure gravity threatening to break. Was his dark magicks this powerful? Has he already gained his immortality? I don't doubt it for a second.

"ZENIX!" I tried to look, but all I saw was a blur of black hair and purple clothes. Aphmau. Her agility was amazing, considering the amount of time she's been out of the battle zone. She froze. "Lu.." She muttered.

"APHMAU, GARROTH!" Laurance came running, screaming, "LET ME HANDLE THIS! SHADPW KNIGHT VERSUS SHADOW KNIGHT!"

"Hm, rookie wants to fight me?" Zenith smirked. He darted straight into Laurance's face, letting go of Lumina. I nearly exhaled all of my air in relief when Aphmau caught her. Safe.. For now.

Laurance took a breath. "I've been trying this behind your backs for quite some time now.. Forgive me." He raised a hand, and shadows surrounded him, giving way to his Shadow Knight form.

-I will try my best to write a fight scene successfully. If it sucks, SUMIMASEN, GOMEN'NASAI MINNA-SAN-

Third Person's PoV

The two clashed swords, and soon enough, Lyla the Bloom entered the scene, she claimed earlier she wasn't one to fight, but man did this woman battle hard. She, Laurance, and eventually Garroth and Aphmau put up a brave fight, battling to the death. Zenix cloned himself, not wanting to bring other Shadow Knights into the fray. At one point, others started joining, until it became a full on war. More clones, and fighting techniques, battle strategies and more. Eventually, he was overpowered, until.. "SHADOW KNIGHT, SATAN SOUL; FULL TAKEOVER!"

(Shut up, I had nothing to say so I stole from the Strauss siblings -Fairy Tail- DON'T BLAME ME, BLAME NinjaUnicorn101 -SAN FOR BRINGING ME INTO THE FANDOM!)

That was when all hell broke loose. The clones disappeared, giving way to the one Zenix, in his full on Shadow Armor, in his Satan form.. Black fire and blood red lighting shook the village. Zenix continues to fight them all, just by himself, and they were struck down, one by one. Nicole- Shadow orb; Will- hit by the hilt of the sword. None died, thankfully, but severely injured. More and more were taken out until all that remained was Aphmau, Garroth, and Laurance. "SHADOW CLONE (JUTSU)!"

(Did I just steal from Naruto? YES. Do I have any regret? NOPE! The anime attack references are just too good to pass up X3)

Zenix had split his Satan form into two other clones, fighting each of them, one on one. Aphmau and Garroth teamed up, while- (I REEAALLY WANNA USE AN ANIME ATTACK ITS KILLING ME INSIDE NOT TO!) - Zenix was losing, for a moment.. Then..  He.. Disappeared.
One by one, the valiant heroes fell.
Aphmau
Laurance
Garroth.
Before they reached unconsciousness, they all had one thought.

The Zenith of darkness had come early.. A little too early.
