In most couples with height differences, they'd be six inches apart, and it's really cute, however for you and Newt, it was a half an inch and was really annoying. Just a damn half inch. And boy did he love gloating about it, to which every time you'd insist on measuring, then remind him that it was only half an inch and he really needs to shut up about being taller than you.

T H O M A S

You always felt awkward around the Glade, very few boys were taller than you at a steady 5'9", so when Thomas came in and he could actually make you feel small, you actually found yourself enjoying being able to be in someone's shadow. Especially on a hot day.

You were pretty tall, probably six foot. This wasn't really something you were ashamed with, until you started dating Minho and you realized how ridiculous you two probably looked walking around the Glade with him having to look up at you. When you mentioned it, he said he'd bravely wear heels if it made you feel any better, and just knowing that he probably would made you feel better.
