Chapter Three: n.m. - MaC

"What do you mean, 'they have the kid?'" Endeavor growled, almost like an animal at the news he had just received.

"Exactly what it sounds like, sir," one of Endeavor's old sidekicks sighed, "the email confirming it came in a few minutes ago from the new Gang Orca Agency."

Endeavor ran a hand through his hair; he was too tired for this. The former father of three, now of four had not been sleeping well lately. It was too early in the morning to deal with this case anyway. A missing child was one thing, he'd be okay if that was the case, but this was different. The troubling villain who rivals All For One's ability has taken another victim to experiment on.

"Have any of the other agencies gathered any new information on The Scientist?" Endeavor wondered aloud, already gaining a headache from thinking of the troublesome outlaw.

His old sidekick scratched the back of his head, "Well sir, yes—but at the same time, not exactly."

"What the hell does that mean?" Endeavor questioned impatiently.

"We don't have confirmation, but a professor from Seiai Academy was watching the last time we encountered The Scientist on tape, and thinks they have some guesses for what the villain's quirk is."

"Go on..." Endeavor sounded mildly interested.

"Here's the file he sent, sir," the sidekick handed him the yellow folder and stepped out of the office.

Endeavor didn't pay it any mind and started to read through the papers. He didn't even bother process the information given to him; it was such bullshit that it was impossible. Mind control, are you serious? This is why heroes don't take information from civilians, other than witnesses—it's more often than not a waste of time.

"I took care of the Seiai Academy professor, as well as delivered the file," the older man informed the scientist, who was currently working with a special specimen, "who's that? I don't remember this one."

"Hm? Oh, I just created this guy from scratch!" Dr. Takeyama stated in an excited voice, "I call it Neito. What do you think?"

"I think it's quite the charmer," the older man smiled, "what will its purpose be?"

"It's going to be sent out to accomplish the same job as (Y/n)," she foretold, "(Y/n)'s a little unstable, so I'm hoping for Neito here to be a surefire."

"That's a good idea, having a backup," her assistant nodded, "what is its quirk?"

"I gave it a simple one," Dr. Takeyama started, "I injected it with the Copy quirk. It's not too special, but he should blend in with his peers."

"Speaking of which, how do you plan to ensure... his delivery into the world?" the assistant wondered aloud.

"Easy," Dr. Takeyama sighed in relief as she finished injecting all the needed mixtures into her artificially made baby, "I want you to perform the classic door drop."

"Tonight?" he tried not to sound like he was whining.

"Yes," she said sharply, "make sure to drop him into a rather wealthy neighborhood, by the way. The richer the family, the more likely he is to get into U.A. when he's older."

"Got it," her assistant noticed something, something he could correct. He didn't.

Dr. Takeyama inserted the wrong *MaC into Neito. He could have stopped her and made sure that she put in the real one instead of the faulty prototype, but he just let her. Something told him that maybe all the madness she was causing would be stopped if only (Y/n) was effected. Perhaps this was his thanks to the world for not letting him get caught. Neito might live a semi-normal life, thanks to this.

"I can't believe she has me doing this at such an hour..." the older man grasped the baby carrier with The Scientists creation, Neito in it. He continued strolling through the night, deciding which house he'd want to leave it—him at.

It wasn't too long before he made up his mind. He chose a house on the corner, tall and sightly. It was a nice place, and there didn't look to be security, which was strange. The final touch was the group of trees in the yard the older man could hide in after knocking.

With that in mind, he walked into the front yard quietly, going up close enough to set the carrier on the front step. He knocked hard on the door, quickly going to hide behind the trees as soon as he heard footsteps. The person who opened the door had quite the reaction, gasping loudly when they peered down to see a baby boy looking sleepily back up at him. The man called a woman, whom the older man assumed was his wife to come to see.

They immediately picked Neito up, looking around helplessly, wondering where its parents were. After standing on their front steps for a couple of minutes, they decided that the baby might be cold. The couple headed back into their house, closing and locking the door behind them. The carrier laid neglected, Neito being brought into the house, and almost immediately into the family, by hand.

The older man crept out of the large yard and made his way back to his car, letting out a relieved sigh. His job was done for the night, and frankly, done for a while in general. The Scientist, Dr. Takeyama had finished almost all of her injections on (Y/n) at this point. That meant just sitting back and letting everything she implanted set in and take effect. He could take a break, which was extremely needed and well deserved.

"Oh, Kaori, the baby monitor's going off!" one of the maids, a young lady named Chiyoko called out.

"Thanks, Chi," the other maid in the kitchen with her, Kaori responded, "the new baby is adorable, but he's so needy..."

"I understand, believe me," a young, cute, recently hired butler named Riku sighed, "I got to spend all my work hours tending to him last week..."

The other house workers chatted lightly about the new baby as Kaori left the room to go check on the squabbling infant. She'd done this a fair amount of times, so it was nothing unusual. She knew what she needed (all of the workers who were charged with caring for the baby were thankful that the baby had a bodily schedule. He peed and pooped around the same times, as well as was hungry or tired around the same times. It was almost unnatural, the extent to which this occurred.).

The pulled Neito out of his crib, his cries reducing to sniffles. She laid him on the changing table and removed his diaper, ready to guard her nose against the smell. Instead, she was caught with shock and had to blink a few times to question her sanity. There, embedded under Neito's skin was some type of tiny, red chip. How had she not seen this before? She'd been caring for him for a couple of months, so she couldn't picture how this went unnoticed.

Anyway, I'm stalling. What I'm getting at it that I want to hear what you guys think is going on. Please, comment and tell me what you all think is happening in the story so far! I'm also curious to see how you guys think it will end, but that can wait for another time.)

'We won,

Or we think we did,

When you went away— you were just a kid,

And if you lost it all,

And you lost it

We'll be here... when your war is over...'
