𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐄 up of four things; depending on adults, enjoying life's innocence, learning from your mistakes, and the phrase "Once Upon a Time."
Everyone's childhood is different, but at one point or another, you are likely to sit with your parents, or cozy up in a good storybook, containing those four words.
Our life is made of fairy tales. Children are masked of the real world; masked of the true hate and cruelty that is the planet by light-hearted stories containing princes and princesses.
Through our paper-page experience, we're caught in a world of dragons, and queens, and fairies. A curse bestowed on a baby by an evil fairy. A poisonous apple given to an oblivious princess. The son of a Sultan, hungry for power. A lady, out for many, many dogs. A selfish Queen, on the throne of a whimsical land.
These five instances revolve around five people. Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, Cruella DeVil, and the Queen of Hearts. All five villains have been the iconic antagonists of the cliche fairy tales; bestowing wickedness and pure evil on all lands.
We know the story of Belle and her Beast, about how they had an expensive wedding with a seven hundred layer cake or something. And how, instead of having a honeymoon like normal people, they united all of the fairy tale settings, and banished the sources of evil onto a tiny island on the edge of the map. Blah, blah, blah, you know the story.
The villains managed to make a whole other generation. That's right. The mentioned villains all had their own offspring, and trained them to display the epitome of their parents. Not like they had a choice.
Now, not only are the villains of the stories crammed into a tiny island (which is known as the Isle of the Lost, by the way), their children are also, causing trouble, just like their parents did. But what else could they do? They learned to lie, cheat, and steal before they could talk, and when you're crammed on a tiny island with no magic, no wifi, and especially no way out, what else could you do.
Relationships were forged. Pacts were created. Gangs were formed. Friendships and best friendships were fabricated. Enemies were built. Leaders were self-appointed and eventually overthrown. No real childhood existed. No fairy tales, no lullabies, no cookies from parents, and hardly any "I love you's."
Unlike the majority of children, these kids from the Isle lifted their own kind of normal. They learned from their parents as any other child did. But little did these kids know, was that when they first opened their eyes, they weren't masked from the true world's evils.
Their eyes saw the world for what it really was, and they lived in it . . .
