‹ CHAPTER 1 ›
JENNIFER'S POV
Finally, the bell rang. Every student sighed with relief.
"Okay students the class is over now. Don't just sit and waste your time during the vacation. Give some time to Chemistry also," said Miss. Chloe and walked out of the classroom.
I was jotting down some notes when someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around to see a raven haired boy wearing hoodie and casually hanging his bag, whom I recognised as Kevin.
"Oh so are you planning to spend your whole break time here?" He asked sarcastically. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his question. My eyes scanned the class to see half of the room empty while some students were still there discussing about what will they do during the vacation.
I was packing all my stuff when Samantha, my bestie, approached me and ruffled my hair playfully. "Hey! What the hell you doing?," I yelled at her, ignoring all the eyes that were fixed in our direction. She chuckled as she saw me fixing my hair. "I'll kill you," I said gritting my teeth in anger. My deadly gaze were piercing holes in her soul. "Okay okay I'm sorry," she said holding back her laughter.
"So, what should we do during the break?" the black haired girl, Caroline questioned for the umpteenth time, as we five moved out of the main gate of the academy. "Hah," said Lance. "I'm going to jump off a cliff. Wanna join?"
His statement finally resulted in the girl shutting up.
Good.

We barely moved any steps until we saw several, I would say twenty to thirty, advertisement paper lying everywhere on the pavement. I picked up one of them.
"FINALLY THE TIME HAS COME. THE CARNIVAL IS HERE! FROM FERRIS WHEEL TO....." I read it out what was printed on that paper. "That's some old fashioned kind of intro," Kevin said shrugging.
"So where is it? I mean what's the venue of this carnival?" Samantha asked. I turned the paper to check if the address was written on the back or not.
"It's 249 Main Street, NYC!"
"Isn't it nearby?"
"We should go there, shouldn't we?"
"Sounds like a plan."
After a quick talk, we agreed to visit the place. Yeah this was the usual us. Making decisions at the last time was our speciality.
Anyways, it was our vacation and the carnival was nearby. What else could have been better than that!
"So when should we go there," Kevin asked, "Tomorrow? Or day after tomorrow?"
"Woah woah hold up," said Samantha. "Not too early. I'd have to select the dress I'd wear and...."
The typical Samantha.
Ignoring her we all came to the conclusion that we'd go there a day later.
"Let's meet at the park tomorrow at 10 am," Caroline declared being full of enthusiasm. "And don't be late," she added.
I hate it. I knew she was pointing me out, indirectly. "Sure," I said, rolling my eyes again.
These idiots never leave any chance to embarrass me.
