Chapter Ten: Jack Harkness
"Captain Jack Harkness, and you are?" The man-Jack-questioned.
"I'm...um..." I responded stupidly. "That a hard one?" He asked me, smirking and crossing his arms. I rolled my eyes, sighing. "You ask a lot of questions, Harkness." He offered his hand out to help me up, and I took it gratefully. "Call me Jack," he said with a wink. I rolled my eyes, tugging my hand out of his and crossing my arms.
"What do you want?" I asked, a bit too harshly. He raised an eyebrow. "I came to rescue you. Received an alien life signal, thought it would be a good idea to check it out. If it weren't for me, you'd be dead!" He answered, in his (kinda hot) American accent. Wait, what?
"Technically, I wouldn't be dead. I'd just waste a brand-new regeneration." His eyebrows shot up. "Time Lord?" I set my hand on my hip, rolling my eyes again. "Time LADY." He crossed his arms. "Whatever. You're coming back to Torchwood with me."
"No."
"Yes."
"I said no."
"And I'm telling you YES."
"I don't care! No!"
"Yes!" He responded, grabbing my arm and pulling me towards the door. I groaned, trying to pull my arm out of his grip. He just held it tighter, pulling me out of the door and to a van. Why is everyone stronger than me?!
"Back of the van." He said, pushing me towards it. I crossed my arms over my chest. "You think I'm gonna get in a van with someone I just met?!" He rolled his eyes at me and opened the door. "Yes," he said simply, before pushing me in and closing the door. I groaned and sat down in a corner seat. I'd been through too much already to even try to escape again. Instead of that, I curled up, closing my eyes for a nap. Maybe Harkness over there will actually let me sleep and not argue.
