"I did tell you that this was going to happen. She'll be fine though, you were not hit in any way fatal to her or you." Mother's voice speaks. I turn my head to see my mother holding the baby again. "You'll wake up back in auradon and your father will tell you that Leah had been taken off the throne and put in prison along with Felix the first for their crimes and the stuff that you exposed them of. Your father will also tell you that means since he is the first born he should be the one to take the throne, except he is too old and it will be passed to you. And if you don't want it, it will be passed to your cousin." Mother informs me and walks up so she's right in front of me. "Hugs and kisses until I see you next." Mother says holding the little baby out for me to take. I take her in my arms, kiss her forehead and hug her close to me. "I can't wait until I can actually hold you." I whisper as mother takes her back. "Ta-ta." Mother chirps in a singsong tone.

I wake with a slight headache, the sound of rhythmic beeping fills the air. "Mels, you're okay." Mal says in relief. I look over and see her sitting in a chair next to me. "Mal of course I'm fine. Where are we?" "We're at the hospital in Auradon, your dad just went to go get himself coffee." She answers. "And Ben..." I trail off. "He couldn't come in the room, he's out in the waiting room, only family is allowed in here right now. Audrey was taken back to her parents by Stefan yesterday night and your dad and I have been here the whole time." "How long is the whole time?" I ask. "Only yesterday when you were injured and today. The doctors told me right then and there when you were first brought in, that the hit wasn't close to the baby at all. She's alright. Mom was right." She says and I nod. "I knew she would be." I tell her. Dad comes in the room with a cup of coffee in hand and rushes to stand on the right side of me. "I'll go tell Ben that Mels is awake so he'll stop worrying." Mal says and stands up awkwardly. "Oh, okay." dad says and Mal turns and leaves. 

"So, the stuff you've exposed your grandmother and Felix the first for, along with the usage and breakage of old rule has landed them both in prison for a little while. Your grandmother, being the age she is, was put on house arrest and deemed unfit to rule again. They said that since I was the first born that I would take the throne, if it weren't if it weren't for the fact that I denounced my title when you went missing all those years ago. Therefore it falls to my first born, who didn't lose her title when I denounced mine, which is you." He tells me. "They decided you should be crowned after you woke up. I should go and tell them that you're awake so they can start getting everything ready for tomorrow." He tells me and I frown. "If you don't want to you can pass the throne to your aunt, and Audrey will be crowned instead." He comforts. "I don't want to be crowned the queen dad." I reply and he smiles. "That's perfectly alright Rosebloom." He assures me. I start to fiddle with the hospital blanket, unsure of what to say next. "Now Addysaurus-rex is going to be the new queen of Asun Eh." He adds and I giggle at the nickname.

The door opens and a nurse comes in the room with Mal and Ben behind her. "I need to check on their vitals, it'll only be a moment." The nurse tells dad. She takes my vitals, checks the wound and the baby, then writes something down on her clipboard and leaves. "Rosie, you're okay." Ben says, sitting in the seat next to the bed. "Of course I'm okay, it takes a little more than that to affect me." I say and pause when I see his face. He looks like he's been crying, red puffy eyes and tear streaks down his cheeks. "Ben, it's alright. I'm safe back home." I say in a softer tone as I take and cradle his head in my hand.

 "I'll go and tell the people to get ready for tomorrow." Dad says standing up and leaving the room. Mal takes his place, standing and placing a hand on my shoulder. I look up at her and she nods, reaffirming her support. "You're pregnant." Ben starts and I nod. "A little less than five months." I say and he frowns. "Why didn't you tell me when you found out?" He asks. "I knew you'd come and try to get me the second you found out about it, and I didn't want to risk it." "I would've stayed here and let you handle it, you could've told me." "No you wouldn't have. You are protective, the moment you knew, you would've stormed the castle by yourself to take Me home." I say and sit up. "Where's my phone?" I ask Mal and she pulls it from her bag. I pull the case off and pull out the sonograms. "It's a girl. And I hope that she looks almost exactly like you." I say showing him the pictures. He drops them back in the phone case and hugs me close to him. "We're having a daughter." He whispers excitedly. "I'm sorry." I whisper back and start to cry. He pulls away from me and frowns. "Hey don't cry, all of it is over now. You and our daughter are safe." He tells me softly as he wipes the tears from my eyes. "I'll go tell the group to leave and that you'll see them later." Mal says and then slips out of the room.

"I couldn't let you get stabbed and I almost lost our daughter because of it." I cry and he shushes me softly. "Hey, no don't say that. I shouldn't have challenged him to a duel, it's my fault." He says and I shake my head. "All that matters now is that you, me and the baby are safe in auradon and nothing can harm us again." He assures me. "I love you Ben." "And I love you Rosie." He says and kissed me chastely. Mal comes back in with a soft smile. "How are you feeling Mels?" She asks, sitting in the chair next to me. "A little sore." I answer and she frowns. "What's that look for?" I ask and she shakes her head. "It's nothing Mels. Why don't you try and sleep." She replies and I nod, sliding down into the bed and pulling the blanket over me. "My parents should be here when you wake up." Ben adds and I smile and close my eyes. I drift to sleep to the sound of Ben and Mal talking about random things. 

When I wake I'm greeted by Belle's smiling face. "Hi darling, how are you?" She asks and I smile. "Better now that I'm home." I answer and she nods. "So, I've sent the others out for some one on one talk. Ben told me... about the baby." She says softly. "I know, we were reckless and didn't use protection..." I start, nervously looking up at her. "It's alright dear, accidents happen, and I know you two are still young but you'll be great parents." Bell comforts, placing a hand on my back. "I really hope so, I've not had the best mother." I reply and she laughs a little. "I'm sure you will be nothing like your mother." She tells me and hugs me to her. I smile and put my hand on my stomach, feeling the baby flutter in my stomach. When bell pulls away she calls the other's back into the room. "We're gonna drive you home alright?" Adam tells me when me comes in. I nod and he pats my head fondly. "I'm glad you're okay." He says and then goes to get the nurse to dismiss me. Ben moves to the opposite of bell and takes my hand in his. He kisses it gently and traces patterns on the back of it with his thumb.

The nurse and Adam come back in and the nurse checks on me again before letting me go, telling me that if anything worsens to come back. Bell, Adam, Mal, Ben and I all get into the limo where Lumiere is sitting in the driver's seat. "Hello cherie, long time no see." He greets with a bright smile on his face. I smile back at him, "Hi Lumiere." I greet back. Ben sits next to me, putting his arm around me and letting me rest my head on his shoulder. He kisses the top of my head occasionally throughout the drive to Stefan's castle. 

When we get there Audrey runs out to the limo and throws herself at me to hug me tight. "Ro, you're okay." She whispers. "Of course." I whisper back and hug back just as tight. "I'm so glad you're back. And you're gonna be the queen, I'm so excited." She says pulling back and smiling at me. My smile drops for a moment. "No one told you? I ask and she looks confused. "Told me what?" She asks. "Let's have this conversation inside." Dad suggests. We all walk into the castle, where the maids, butlers, fairy godmother and Jane are scrambling to get things all ready. "Hello child, Just some last minute stuff for the coronation. How are you feeling?" FG asks coming over and patting me on the shoulder. "I'm feeling alright." I answer with a smile. She smiles wider and then goes back to doing what she was before. 

We make our way to the sitting room and sit down. "What do you need to tell me?" Audrey asks again, getting straight to the point. "I don't want to be queen. I'm not ready for that responsibility. I've only just begun to understand what being a princess and a Lady of the court entails. And even if I were ready to be queen of Asun, I don't think that I would be able to balance being queen of Asun and Queen of Auradon when the time comes. So... I've turned down the crown of Asun, and that means that-" "I'm going to be crowned tomorrow." Audrey cuts me off in a stunned stupor. "Since I denounced my title, I am not able to inherit it. Since Melrose doesn't want to ascend the throne it will go to the next in the line of succession. Your mother, but your mother has always made it clear that she didn't want to rule Asun, as she was never raised to be a Princess or a Queen. Therefore the crown falls to you." Dad explains.

"Oh..." Audrey muses. "I had called your mother ahead of time and let her know this. I had believed she would tell Fairy godmother, and you the change of plans." "My apologies Rohan, I was trying to get away from our mother. She had accosted me in the hallway and asked me for a little company in her lonely room. She was talking my ear off about how I needed to take the throne so that Asun doesn't fall to ruins... Honestly I tried to let Audrey and Fairy godmother know before you got back." Aurora speaks from the doorway. "I just let Fairy godmother know though, as I bumped into her on the way to find you." She adds as she crosses the room and sits next to Audrey. "You will do amazing as Queen, Audrey. You have so much care for the people of Asun, I don't doubt that you will flourish." Aurora assures her daughter. "And you will have us there for you as well, if you need any help." Dad adds. After a moment of silence Audrey nods and says, "I can do this." She then stands up from her seat and gestures towards us.

"I'll show you guys to your rooms." Audrey says to Belle, Adam, Mal and Ben. "And yours as well, Ro. Oh, by the way Evie is coming over. She was going to make a dress for you, I figured that she would be a lot less hyper than Nathan. I guess she's going to be making mine instead." She says turning to me. I nod and she turns and starts to walk, gesturing for us to follow. She leads us to a hallway with four rooms in it. "Belle and Adam your room is right here." She starts, pointing at the first door on the right. "Its right next to mine. Then Ben's is across from his parent's and Mal and Ro, your's is right across from mine." She finishes pointing to each room as she lists them. Belle and Adam go into their room leaving Mal, Ben, Audrey and I in the hallway. "You can always share a room with Ben if you'd like." Audrey teases with a smirk. I shake my head and chuckle. "I'd be fine with it." Mal adds jokingly and winks at me. Audrey leaves us to check on the plans, telling us to take a look at our rooms.

Mal and I go into our room to find that the walls are pale peach and the bed and the details are white and light grey. "It's actually pretty nice. Not all overly pink." Mal muses. We sit on our beds, facing each other. "So..." Mal starts, only to trail off, unsure of where to start with the conversation. "So..." I reply. "You're gonna be a mom, how does that feel?" She asks. "Well, it's weird. I didn't expect that I would be and I hope I do a good job." I answer. "You will Mels, I'm sure you'll be a whole lot better than ours." She assures me. We continue to talk for a while before a knock on the door interrupts us. Mal gets up and answers it to find Evie standing in the hall with her supply box in hand. "Mi-mi!" She yelps, dropping all her supply box and hugging me. "Don't you ever leave for more than a week ever again." She scolds pulling away and looking me over worriedly. "I don't plan on it eves." I reply dryly. "Now, let's get down to business. I know you want the color to be purple, and I'm thinking a high low style. I've already got some heels that will go with it." She says picking up her supply box and starting to get everything she needs out of it. She first grabs the tape measure and starts to take my measurements before I can protest. 

"You've gained weight, were they feeding you well?" She asks as she measures. I shake my head and look to Mal to give the explanation. "She... well, she's pregnant." Mal tells her gently. "What? Oh! Really? You're pregnant!" Evie exclaims and stops measuring. I nod and she hugs me. "That's amazing." I smile at her and she hugs me again. "You're not going to be working on my dress anyways." I muse and Evie looks confused. "Audrey is the one being crowned tomorrow." I explain and she nods. "Then I need to get Audrey's measurements, and then I've got to get started on something for her." Just as she starts to root through her sewing tin, Audrey comes into the room. "Hey, I heard Evie was here for the dress." She says and Evie tugs her closer and starts to measure her without a word. Evie starts to work on the dress, asking me about the Catelona entire ordeal, I tell her everything with Mal and Audrey's help. 

It's getting late into the night and Evie tells me the dress will be done in the morning before the coronation, and that she needs to stay here to work on it through the night. So I offer up my bed and sneak over to Ben's room. He's already lying down to sleep when I come in the room. "I didn't think you'd take up Audrey's offer." He jokes with a chuckle. "Evie's  is working on Audrey's dress for coronation so I offered her my bed." "Ah so you came here to steal mine." He teases and then scoots over and pats the bed next to him. I crawl into the spot next to him and smile at him. He smiles back and wraps his arms around me, pulling me up against him. "I missed holding you close like this." He tells me as he traces patterns on my back. "I did too." 

We drift off into a comfortable sleep almost immediately. When I wake up it's early in the morning and Mal and Evie are standing beside the bed with smirks. I groan and start to sit up, only to find that I'm held in place by Ben's arms. He whines in his sleep and holds me tighter. I attempt to get up without waking him up, but as soon as I manage to get his arm off me he looks up at me groggily. "Good morning beautiful." He says in a husky voice and the baby starts to move around. "Morning love, could you let me up please?" I reply and he smirks and cuddles into me more. "Love, we have an audience." I say, looking back over at Evie and Mal who are smiling. "Oh." He says and lets me go. I kiss him on the cheek and turn to Evie and Mal. "What's up?" I ask them and they giggle before answering. 

"I'm waking you up because you need to get ready." Evie tells me. I nod and stand up. "We'll be in your room, we'll give you a minute with Ben first." Mal teases with a wink and then pulls Evie out with her. "How's the baby doing?" Ben asks, putting his hand on my stomach. There's a fluttering and a jab into his hand in reply. "She's doing great, and she likes the sound of your voice. But she kicks hard." I reply with a boop to his nose.

"I would hope she'd like the sound of my voice." He says with a smile and then gets face level to my stomach. "Go easy on your mom princess." He says softly and kisses my belly. "Are you ready for today?" He asks, sitting back up and I nod. "Of course, I get to see Audrey become Queen of Asun." I answer. "She'll do great." I smile at him and he kisses my forehead. "Now you should really go do what Evie wants before they come back in here and scold me." I giggle at his statement and get up to leave, giving him a wave and heading out the door. 

I go next door to Mal and Evie. When I get in the room they both look up with smirks. "I almost went to go get you." Mal teases. I blush and pull a dress out of the closet. Evie, pushes me behind a changing screen and tells me to hurry. There's a knock and Audrey's voice is heard, "Fairy godmother says the ceremony will start at ten. We're getting in carriages and go down to the cathedral Ben was coronated at seven minutes before ten. How's everything going in here? Need any help?" "We're running great here, Mel's just putting her dress on. How is the dress fitting you?" Evie asks. "Alright, good. Don't lose track of time please. And it fits perfectly, thank you for making me it." Audrey tells us. I'm done putting the dress on so I walk out from behind the changing screen with a smile. "You look great Mels." Mal muses, gesturing for me to spin around to see myself in the mirror. 

I spin around and look at myself in the mirror. "Wow, it looks amazing." Evie comes up beside me with a smirk. "Of course it looks amazing, I only ever make amazing dresses." She jokes, looking at her fingernails in satisfaction. "And even better, Mal charmed the dress so that only family, us vk's included, could see your bump. To everyone else you've got your normal figure." Evie explains. "That's clever." "I have been known to think clever thoughts." Mal teases. Evie fixes the seams and hem in a few places and then sews a belt to the dress before stepping back and nodding in approval. "All done." She says putting her tools back in her supply box. "Just in time too, Mal can you wear the dress that Ro made for herself in catelona? Because we need you in the carriage with uncle Rohan, grandpa Stefan, Ben and Mel." Mal shrugs and Audrey goes to get it. Bringing it in with a, "I packed it up when Leah sent us away. Put it on and Evie and Ro can fit it to you before we have to go." Audrey instructs.

Mal nods, taking the dress from her and going behind the changing screen to change. "That shouldn't be too hard to do, M and Mi-mi have similar measurements." Evie says, pulling out lighter purple and gold thread. "Wait, if you stay to fit the dress to Mal then you'll have to borrow one of my dresses." Audrey tells her. "I'll fit the dress to Mal, you go get yourself ready." I tell Evie, taking the needle and thread from her. Evie tells me she'll leave her supply kit here until after the coronation and that she'll see us there. 

Mal comes out with a grin, holding up her arms and spinning in a circle. "It fits nicely, just need to tighten the back a little bit." She says and I nod and get to work on tightening the back a little bit. It only takes a little bit of time before I've finished tightening the dress. Audrey comes back in to tell us to hurry so Mal does a spell to put my hair in a fancy hairstyle and apply natural makeup to my face, she does the same for herself and smiles at the finished product. "Now, let's get to those carriages before Audrey comes in and drags us." Mal says, taking my hand. 

We walk outside together and are greeted by Audrey, fairy godmother and Jane. "Ben and his parents went to get ready, they should be back in a few minutes, and then we'll get everything up and running." Audrey says and nods at Jane who checks a few things off on a clipboard she's holding. Ben and his parents arrive right on time to get into the carriages. Fairy godmother helps Jane direct us to which carriage is ours. Jane and her mother are in the on at the very front, then Audrey in her own single carriage. And the final one had my dad, grandpa, Ben's parents, Ben, Mal and I.  We climb in and the carriages take the route they did for Ben's coronation.

Down the main street stand the people of auradon and Asun, watching us wave as we pass. "This gives me deja vu." I tell Ben jokingly. He laughs and nods. "The street I told you I would spend the rest of my life with you on. And I meant it when I did." Ben says as we wave. We get to the cathedral and the other's take their places. Ben kisses my hand smiles and says, "Let's take our places," and we make our way to where we'll be standing. 

Audrey makes her way up the stairs and into the cathedral, stoically staring at the front where grandpa Stefan stands. The people bow she walks. Audrey smiles lightly and stands on the stairs in front of grandpa Stefan who smiles at her and gestures for her to breathe. She kneels on the steps and fairy godmother places a purple crystal crown on her head. Grandpa Stefan hands Fairy godmother the wand and she brings it over to Audrey. 

"Do you solemnly swear to govern the peoples of Asun with justice and mercy as long as you shall reign?" Fairy godmother asks. "I do solemnly swear." Audrey answers and Fairy godmother takes the wand and taps Audrey's shoulders with it. "Then it is my honor and my joy to bless the new queen of Asun." She says and then hands Stefan the wand back. He puts the wand back in the case as fairy godmother stands Audrey up. Then everyone in the room bows to Audrey once more before standing and clapping. Audrey stands and makes her way back out to the street, me, Ben and my family following after. We get back into the carriages and they take us back to the castle. Later that night there's a small dinner and party to celebrate, with all of my family and friends coming to visit. I stand on the balcony, looking out at the lights of the town when Ben comes out and wraps his arms around me. "What's got you out here all alone at this time of night and not celebrating with everyone else?" He asks and presses a kiss to my cheek. "I was just thinking about how everything is going to change soon." I reply and lean into him. "Yeah, but hopefully it's for the better." He says. "Come on, let's go back and celebrate." He says after a while of silence. I nod and we turn to go inside. "Did princess Rapunzel bring some of her apple pie? I've been wanting some for a while now." I say as we walk. Ben just laughs and leads me back to the party.
