The Hook siblings. The children of one of the most wicked villains on the Isle of the Lost. Captain Hook.

CJ. The youngest. Also the one stuck in Auradon for reasons nobody is aware of.

Harry. The middle child. The crazed teenager who tried to get his hand bitten off by a crocodile, for whatever reason.

And Harriet. The oldest. With their mother gone, Harriet is the one to look after her two younger siblings.

Enfolded in the darkness present on the Isle of the Lost lies a gang of pirates, all keen for revenge on Mal and King Ben. The ones who left them in the dump of what they call an Isle.

Also enfolded in the darkness of the island lies a Chip Shoppe run by Ursula and her daughter, Uma. The restaurant was known for its shabby structure, disgusting fish and chips, and you're meal being served with a comment along the lines of, "Life's not fair!"

Harriet Hook, eldest daughter of Captain Hook, sat inside said Chip Shoppe, munching on what Ursula calls potato wedges. Harriet, being an Isle kid, knew that there was probably some sort of disease in the food. But she still ate it anyways.

Noise erupted, as usual. Harriet was more than annoyed with the pirates partially yelling at each other and calling it "light conversation." The raven made an attempt to take the yelling with a grain of salt, as she had taught the Smee twins, whom she babysat.

Even though she desperately wanted to take her sword out, and yell at the restaurant-goers.

Harriet heard the screech of another sword being placed in the "sword check" barrel. She never took the rule seriously, keeping her sword with her at all times, which annoyed the restaurant owner.

She heard heavy footsteps coming behind her, before her burgundy pirate hat was knocked off, and a hand noogied her.

"Ow! Harry, cut it out you punk!" Harriet said, pushing her little brother's closed fists off her black hair.

"Just messin' with you, Ettie," Harry replied, using his big sister's infamous nickname.

Harriet blew a rebellious strand of hair out of her face before brushing off her father's pirate hat. "You said that after I socked you for flirting with Uma," she placed the hat back on, scoffing, "Ugh. I don't get why Uma made you first mate. You have the mental stability of a madman."

"She's not wrong."

The Hook siblings turned to Gil, who was on the other side of the bar, eating boiled eggs as usual.

Gil was the son of Gaston. He was also apart of Uma's main crew, despite the fact that he wasn't the sharpest hook in the drawer.

Harry turned back to his sister, hopping over the bar, "Uma only didn't make you first mate because of your massive crush on her."

The raven crossed her arms, "You're the one that flirts with her!"

"I flirt with everyone."

Gil pointed to Harry. "But that's where you're wrong," he began, "See, since you've barely flirted with anybody after Quinn left the Isle, Harriet's been the one that the girls've been swooning over." He gulped another yolk at Harry's stone-cold glare. "What?"

Harry scoffed, figuring that arguing with someone with the common sense of a brick was pointless.

Harriet smirked proudly. "That's another point for me," she said, munching on another potato wedge and dusting the crumbs off her shorts and fishnet stockings.

Gil chuckled, "Ha! Harry and Quinn sitting in a tree—"

Gil was abruptly cut off by Harriet throwing her sword at him. It stuck in the wooden cabinet, instead of hurting the pirate. If she'd aimed better, the sword would've got Gil, who stared at the sharp hook at the end of the sword with wide eyes. The hook was added for homage purposes. Since she had only gotten her father's hat, she had carved out a replica of her father's hook at the sword's handle.

"K-I-L-L-I-N-G," Harriet spelled out, "Which is what I will be doing to you if you don't shut up. I'm the only one who can make fun of my little brother!"

Harry smirked, "Likewise."

"THERE'S A SWORD CHECK FOR A REASON!" Ursula yelled, hearing the racket.

"I don't take orders from an octupus," Harriet muttered.

Right on cue, Uma, daughter of Ursula, strutted out of the kitchen, plopping down a tray of food in front of her frist mate. Harry slid the tray towards him as Harriet's eyes caught on the turquoise-haired girl.

"On second thought," Harriet said, resting her head on her hand.

Uma caught Harriet's stare. She rolled her eyes. "Harriet," she put a hand on her hip, and nudged her head in the direction of the TV, "Turn on the TV, would ya?"

The raven pirate rolled her eyes, "Fine."

She hopped over the bar, clicking on the TV before stealing one of her brother's fish sticks. Harriet ignored his glares as she ate the fish. Uma suddenly grabbed some of Harry's food and threw it at the TV.

"Poser!"

"Traitor!"

"Prissy-pink princess," Harriet scowled, fishing a fish bone out of her mouth before throwing it at the TV, "Ew. Uma, darling, tell your mom to get all of the fish bones out of the fish before serving it to customers."

Uma slammed her hands on the bar table, ignoring her crewmate, "Hello?!"

The rest of the pirates began throwing food at the TV. Harriet smirked proudly. Harry brought a finger to the ketchup on the TV.

"Oh, I would love to wipe the smiles off their faces," Harry said, licking the ketchup off his finger, "You know what I mean?"

Uma turned to Gil angrily. "Gil!" she slammed her hand on the table, "You want to quit choking down yolks and get with the program?"

Gil gulped down the egg, "Yeah. What they said."

Uma turned away from Gil. "That little traitor," she said, "who left us in the dirt."

"Who turned her back on evil."

"Who said you weren't big or bad enough to be in her gang," Uma cocked an eyebrow at Gil as Harriet placed a hand to her temple, knowing where Gil was going, "Back when we were kids. Come on, you guys remember. She called her Shrimpy, and the name just kind of . . . " Harriet stood directly in front of Gil, sending daggers his way, "stuck."

Harriet was right in front of Gil, sending him daggers as she pulled her sword out from the wall. Gil looked nervous, nervous of the sword and Harriet.

"I only miss when I intend to," Harriet told Gil, "so let's be quiet about Uma and Mal's past drama, m'kay?"

Gil vigorously nodded.

The turquoise-haired went on, "That snooty little witch, who grabbed everything she wanted and left me nothing."

"No, she left you that sandbox, and then she said that you could have the shrimp—"

Uma slammed her hand on the table again, facing Gil, "I need you to stop talking."

"Hot," Harriet muttered.

Harry placed his hand in front of Harriet and Uma. "Look, we have her turf now," he mentioned, "They can stay in Bore-adon."

"Yeah, you're litearly the Queen of the Isle," Harriet added, "Why go to Candyland where you can have all the power here?"

"That's her turf now! And I want it, too," Uma looked at Harriet, "We should not be getting her leftovers." She put an arm around the Hook siblings and Gil. "Son of Hook, daughter of hook, son of Gaston, and me, most of all, daughter of Ursula!" She turned to Harry, "What's my name?"

"Uma," Harry answered, taking off his hat.

Harriet rolled her eyes as Uma turned to her.

"What's my name?" Uma asked Harriet.

"Do you have a name, or can I call you mine?" the turquoise-haired girl glared at Harriet. The raven-haired girl cleared her throat, "Uma."

Uma turned to Gil, "What's my name?"

Gil gulped down another yolk before answering, "Uma?"

"What's my name, what's my name?"

"Uma!"

Uma:
This is all hands on deck
Calling out to lost boys and girls
I'm gettin' tired of the disrespect
We won't stop 'til we rule the world
It's our time, we up next! (Next, next)
Our sail's about to be set (set, set)
They ain't seen nothing yet

Tell 'em who's in charge so they don't forget

Uma Pirates:
What's my name, what's my name? (Uma)Say it louder
What's my name, what's my name? (Uma)
Feel the power
No one's gonna stop us soon the world will be ours
What's my name what's my name?
What's it, what's it, say it, say it loud
Uuuuuuma, UuuumaAll eyes on me, let me see 'em (Uuuuuma, Uuuuuma)
What's it, what's it, say it, say it

Uma ah ah

The pirates all performed a well-coregraphed dance. Even though Harriet was partially not up for it, thinking it was only an Auradon thing, she danced with her feellow pirates anyways.

Pirates:
Uma

Uma:
I'm the queen of this town
I call the shots, you know who I am
I don't need to wear no fake crown
Stand up to me, you don't stand a chance
It's our time, we up next (next, next)
My crew's as real as it gets (gets, gets)
The worst is now the best

And leaving us here will be their last regret

What's my name, what's my name? (Uma)
Say it louder
What's my name, What's my name? (Uma)
Feel the power

No one's gonna stop us soon the world will be ours

Harry gestured his sister over to the long table where Uma's chair was being placed at the end of. She chuckled, shaking her head before rolling her eyes and approaching her brother for a little sibling interlude.

Uma:
What's my name what's my name?
What's it, what's it, say it, say it

Harry, Harriet:
You know what they say: Bad girls have all the fun
Never learned how to count 'cause he's number one
Ready here, we come
We always get our way
It's a pirate's life,
every single day hey!
She's the captain, I'm the first mate
Enemies seasick can't see straight
Call 'em fish bait, throw 'em on a hook

Uma's so hot they get burned if they look

Uma:
It's all eyes on me, let me see 'em
I see your eyes on me boys, hey
You know what my name is

Say it, say it louder

Harriet joined Uma and Harry on top of the bar. The trio watched the rest of the pirates dance.

Uma took this as a chance to grab her first mate's hook, "Hook me."

The trio just evilly laughed in response as they watched the rest of the pirates.

Uma:
What's my name, what's my name? (Uma)
Say it louder
What's my name, what's my name? (Uma)
Feel the power
No one's gonna stop us soon the world will be ours
What's my name what's my name?
What's it, what's it, say it, say it

Ooh, say it louder
What's it, what's it, say it, say it

Pirates:
Uma, Uma, la la Um
Uma, Uma, la la Uma
Uma, Uma, la la Um
Uma, Uma, la la Uma
Uma, Uma, la la Um
Uma, Uma, la la Uma
Uma, Uma, la la Um
Uma, Uma, la la Uma
Uma!

Everyone finished the song and dance with an evil laugh, in any true Isle fashion. Out of nowhere, one of Ursula's dark-purple tentacles snapped across the tables everyone was standing on. The pirates screamed, jumping in order to avoid being hit.

"SHUR YOUR CLAMS!" Ursula yelled from the back.

"Mom!" Uma complained.

"These dishes ain't gonna wash themselves!" Ursula retorted, splashing water in the process.

Uma rolled her eyes, pushing her braided hair back. "It's fine. It's fine," she reassured the villians, "'Cause when I get my chance to rain down the evil on Auradon, I will take it!" Uma ruffled Harriet's jet black hair, casing the girl to swoon over Uma.

"They're gonna forget that girl" Uma waved her hand, dismissing Mal, "and remember the name—"

"Shrimpy!" Gil yelled, slamming his fists on the table.

Harriet rolled her eyes. Uma gestured over to Harry, making him kick Gil out again. Harry obliged, getting in Gil's face. Gil already knew that he screwed up, so it didn't take much to kick him out.

Harriet smirked, knowing that this was her chance. Her chance to get out of the Isle of the lost. Her chance to wreck havoc on the place that she was trapped from. A chance to help overthrow King Ben and get revenge on Peter Pan's descendants, something that her father has been plotting since she was born.

It was Harriet's chance to get her revenge on a certain blue-haired princess, who had wronged her in the past.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

kenny ortega is amazing, but i just can wrap my head around why he didn't put harriet in descendants 2??? or like in any descendants production??

like this is all the descendants wiki says about her

they don't even have a picture depiction of her :(

and there's a shit ton of canon characters that just don't properly exist in the descendants universe, so i decided, let's not let harriet's character rot and let's do her proper justice.

like guys shes only mentioned a couple of times in the books?? like can we at least establish a little bit of her character more

i understand the fact that there is a TON of characters in the descendants movie franchise, and the great kenny ortega / the writers of descendants probably couldn't fit any more in than they already have. but harriet is still worthy of existing in more than the books and being more than a background character making three appearances.

anygays, i technically don't own harriet, but i felt like showing her the love and appreciation she deserves by writing her into descendants 2 and 3 in this fic. plus i literally can do so much because the descendants wiki doesn't have much to work with 😀

thanks for bearing with me. :)
until next time.
