It was a normal day when Dad opened the door and Nana Kate walked in with her husband and a young girl that looked my age. She looked scared and shy.

"Maya could you take Jade to your room while I talk to your nana?", Dad asks me.

I agree and took her hand and walked up the stairs. I led her to my room. She wanted to sit on the floor but I didn't let her.

My parents always taught me to share, to be kind, and also to respect all types of people. The old, the young.

"Asalam aleikum. Here you can play with this", I tell her handing her one of my toys. "Don't worry, about giving it back. It is yours", I added putting the toy in her hand.

"Thank you", she took it and started playing with it.

But none of her family showed up claiming her. I prayed and prayed to let Mamma and Dad keep her as my sister and their second daughter.

Diary,

I pray to Allah that Jade becomes my sister. I always wanted a sister who I can share everything with.

I know that my parents are trying to locate her parents.

Nana Kate and her husband were in the living to tell us the news. Eavesdropping isn't a good character but when it comes to Jade I had to do it.

Guess what?

Diary, I have a sister.

Yes finally. Alhamdullilah. This is something am going to celebrate and be happy about. I see Jade as my sister and no one will tell me otherwise.

I wish that Roc would see her. He would be happy for me that I now have a sister.

A sister I always wanted.

The weird thing is that why would her parents leave her at the park? I am grateful to my parents.
