Dear Maya,

I love you. I've never met you, but I know that I already love you so much. And I promise to love you forever my precious baby girl. I promise to keep you warm and safe in my arms. I promise to do my best to keep you happy and healthy. But most of all, I promise that I will love you no matter what. I will love you if you are really not a girl. I will learn to love whoever you decide to give your heart to. I will care for you no matter how sick or how healthy you are. I will do my best to always listen and never strike. I will do my best to always understand. Maya, my most precious baby girl, I will always love you. I hope I see you soon.

When you are a newborn I'll hold you as you cry and feed you and change your diapers. As you grow older we will play with your toys and draw with chalk; I'll teach you how to blow bubbles with soap and with water. We'll do family bath time and read stories together. I'll teach you to cook and clean and take care of yourself. And you'll teach me things as well. I hope we will be able to remain close through your teenage years and even when you're an adult, know that I will always be here for you. Throughout your life, I will always be here for you, and even if I have to leave I will always love you. The same goes for Daddy and your uncle and aunties, grandparents, great grandparents and everyone else, especially unicorn. Unicorn is excited to meet you too.
