I woke up in my room at Billy's house and I looked to see Jacob in the room pacing. I looked at him and asked, "What happened?"

He said, "You could have gotten killed. That's what happened. You pushed me out of the way and got bit by a snake instead of me. Why did you do that when all I've been is mean to you since we've met?"

I looked at him and said, "Because we're family and family protects each other. No matter the cost."

He nodded and then he said, "Well thank you. As a wolf your body destroyed the poison in your system, so no doctor was needed."

I nodded and then he said, "The whole pack is in the living room. Want me to go get them?"

I nodded and said, "Sure."

He nodded and left and then came back a few minutes later with Sam, Emily, Jared, Kim, Quill, Claire, Embry, Paul, Leah, Mom and Billy. I sat up and said, "Sup?"

Mom sat beside me and said, "I raised a brave girl."

I smiled at her and said, "Also a stupid girl. That snake bite hurt."

She laughed and then she kissed my forehead and left the room with Billy before Sam said, "You saved a pack member who was mean to you. Why?"

I said, "A pack is a family. Plus the strength of the pack is the wolf and the strength of the wolf is the pack. If we have fighting between two wolves, then our pack is weak. We can't have a weak pack. We must be strong if we want to beat our enemies."

Sam nodded and then Paul looked at me and I looked at him before he said, "No. Not her. Fuck that. I'm out of here."

Then he left before I asked, "Did I do something wrong? Also what is that pull towards Paul telling me to go follow him?"

Jared said, "You imprinted on Paul. It's where you meet your soulmate. It's where you'll be anything for them. Friends. Lovers. Siblings. Whatever they need."

I got up and ran out my room and grabbed Paul's hand and said, "Stop. Look.... Let's start out as friends and work our way up that way."

He looked at me and said, "No. I don't want anything to do with a bitch like you. You're probably a whore like your mother."

I slapped him and ran back into my room crying and then Emily, Kim, Leah and Claire kicked all the guys out and they decided that we were going to have a girls' night.
