The party was so fun. He held my hand as we walked through people as if we were the only people that mattered. I squeezed his palms between my fingers, hoping he'd keep holding me on. We looked into each other's every time we looked at each other's faces. When I was in the bathroom, I got a call from an unknown number. I picked it up and heard someone yell frantically, "Someone broke into your house and set a fire in there! Your dog is still inside, come quick!" They hung up.
"Wait!" I tried calling back, but nobody picked it up again. I ran out of the bathroom and towards the place where Max had been waiting for me. But he was not there anymore. So, I decided to stop close by and simply walk into the fields. I looked up at the stars. The sky looked green as if it was aurora borealis. I missed Max. I looked at my phone, wondering if I should call him again.
"There you are," I heard his voice and turned back. It was him.
"How did you find me? And how did you get here?"
