Max and her siblings look panicked and are running surprisingly fast.  I put my car into gear and speed after them.

"What are you doing? "As on asks.

"I know those kids and I think they're in trouble." I swerve right and past the van. I sharp turn and stop in front of them and Mason throws open the door.

"It's Ruby get in! " I yell.  Without hesitation, they jump in and close the door.  The tires screech as I pull away and speed down the street. I don't see any sign of the chasers so I pull into my driveway and we run inside.  Mason locks the door behind us.

"Can somebody please explain to me what the he'll is going on" I demand

"Hey.  I'm the one who asks questions around here! " Max snaps.

"Yet I saved your life so answers. NOW" Just then the door unlocks and I totally freak .

"Ruby im- *THWONK*
"OW!" Nessa ,my big sister cries as I hit her in the forehead with an apple.

"My bad I thought you we're a bad guy" I say.  Gazzy obviously thought this was funny.  I shoot him a glare and he shuts up.

"Bad guy? And Ruby who are these people? "

"Ummm.... they are the.... party performers from birthdays.... And stuff ..."

"Party planners? "

"Mhmm.  Happy birthday sis"

"Ruby my birthday isn't for another 8 months" she says
