.:Fancy Pants:.

I slowly walked towards the towering structure and took my time to admire the  courtyard. I soon arrived at the Academy's doorstep. My hand hesitantly gripped the door handle and opened the door to reveal the inside of my new boarding school. I took a deep breath and began my search for the front office. The echoing sounds of my shoes clicking against the hard floor were the only noise in the hallways. I turned a sharp corner and-BAM!

My forehead smacked against someone else's. "A-ah I'm dreadfully sorry! I'm so clumsy, how can I make it up to you?" I stammered. A  sharp voice replied, "You could get out of my way and never talk to me again! I swear, how oblivious can you be? Didn't you see me turning?" I looked up to make eye contact but met a girl's icy blue stare. Her short black hair was cut just above her shoulders and she had so much makeup on that I could see it piling on top of itself. Her jean shorts were much too short and her blouse revealed her shoulders- overall way too much skin was showing.

"I'm afraid I didn't see you at all...again I'm very sorry but can you help me find-" She covered my mouth with her hand, "So oblivious! Didn't you hear me? NEVER. TALK. TO. ME. AGAIN!" and with that her red high heels clacked down the hallway and left me alone again. Maybe she's just having a bad day?

I swear I was going in circles! The front office did exist right? Am I going crazy? These thoughts clouded my mind and were stuck on repeat. Before long I found myself in a field bustling with students and staff. "Excuse me, does anyone know where the front office is?" I tried to say but the crowd's noise completely drowned me out. I repeated myself, "Excuse me, can anyone help me find the front office?" A teacher noticed me standing on the sidelines, "Do ya' need help?" he asked.

I was completely puzzled, "What is a 'ya'?" The teacher facepalmed, "Do you need any help?" he repeated. "Oh, why yes I do! Can you help me find the front office?" I chirped. The teacher nodded in thought then let out an amused chuckle, "What are you doing in the middle of the Football Field then?" I pondered the foreign word "F-Futbahl? What's a-" THUNK! A brown object smacked me down onto the grass and everything faded to black.

Slowly I regained my consciousness but I wasn't in the field anymore but in a small room decorated with hearts and red cross symbols. "Is this...one of the fabled NURSE'S OFFICES?" I shouted with glee. A nurse turned and came to check on me, "Did you say something sweetie?" My face lit up, "I am a Sweet-E? Thank you but I was not aware that I was a letter~" She raised an eyebrow and put the back of her hand onto my forehead, "No fever...then why are you acting so......different?" I cocked my head to the side, "Am I in one of the legendary 'Nurse's Offices'? I've only heard stories of such places, when I get sick we have our personal family doctor help me."

The nurse let out a small gasp, "Are you...The Evans child? I assumed it would be a boy..." I nodded, "I know, I should be choosing one of my suitors not making friends and furthering my education." The nurse stood up, "I heard you needed help finding the front office, I can take you there if you want." I gingerly stood up and nodded. "I would love that!" I exclaimed. She opened the door to the hallway and immediately started walking me to my destination.

Once we arrived I shook her hand," Thank you so much. I would like to introduce myself properly, my name is Beatrice Evans." She smiled awkwardly, "I'm Cindy Larsen...just call me Mrs. Larsen though." We released each other's hands and I walked into the front office and I saw her give me a thumbs up from the corner of my eye. A large wooden desk greeted me, a blue office desk was behind it and a plastic seat was placed in front of me. I sat in the uncomfortable plastic seat and awaited the staff member's return. I saw a nameplate on the desk, it read 'Mr. O'Neil'.

Later, the door in the back door opened to reveal a man with a scruffy brown beard and brown eyes. "Good morning, what can I help you with?" he asked in a gruff voice. "I'm here for Student Registration and to overall just check in. My name is Beatrice Evans, Mr. O'Neil." He gave a slight smirk and went to gather some paperwork. "Here you go Ms. Evans." he passed me a folder filled with papers and forms. "Thank you, sir." I took a pen from a cup on the desk and I started on my paperwork.

"Sir? It says here that my name is Bob Evans." I stated. He smirked again, "And?" I sighed, "That is the name of a restaurant, my name is Beatrice, and I'm not a boy. I'm marked down as a boy..." He mocked a shocked expression, "Oh, really? I didn't notice-Fancy-Pants!" he sarcastically remarked. I was stunned that he could find this funny but I quickly regained my composure, "Sir, who's in charge of the paperwork here?" He smiled, "Yours truly of course!" I frowned in response, "Obviously I'm not respected here...I'm afraid I'll have to report you, you did your job incorrectly for self gain. This stunt will not go unnoticed." I let out a sigh and handed him my paperwork. "Good day Mr. O'Neil, good luck explaining yourself." He looked slightly dumbfounded, "You're not really going to report me right? Fancy-Pants? FANCY PANTS!"

I closed my eyes, "Let's....both agree....that nothing happened here today. Please fix my paperwork and I won't tell the principal." He nodded, " The students won't be much better though, you know that right?" I smiled weakly, "You sound like my mother...Can I have my schedule and dorm number?" Mr. O'Neil handed me the needed files and went back into the back room solemnly. I sighed again and left to search for my room.

I arrived at my room but I couldn't help but feel as if something was wrong, but what? I opened the door with my key and...oh gosh...it was a boy's room! A boy was sprawled on top of a blue bed. I stiffened and went as pale as a ghost. "Oh, Bob? Is that you, Bob Evans?" the boy quickly made eye contact and froze. "Umm....Beatrice Evans...actually," I corrected.
